My parcel was out for delivery yesterday, saw a van parked outside my house but nobody knocked the door, so presumed that the delivery was for my neighbour. Kept tracking my parcel and said it was out for delivery, so waited, nothing came. At 9pm tracked on line again and saw that my parcel had been returned to depot as the were unable to gain access to my property, rubbish, it helps if the driver gets out of the van and open the gate, the postman manages it every day. I have tried ringing Yodel and its and automated service which requires te delivery number from the card the driver left, obviously the driver never left a card as he didn't make it out of the van. This is the second time that this has happened, just two different which I have ordered from. How do you contact someone who appears uncontactable, these goods are xms presents for my children, anyone have any ideas? HELP

I ordered a Wii U last week, it was going to be delivered on Saturday, but it came while I was at work (I'd have made arrangements if I'd have known it was to come so early - the post around here usually comes at 1pm). The driver was great and filled out the "Sorry you werent in" card with all the right details, and the website worked fine. It arrived today at 11:30pm and the driver was very polite. Just for information, my delivery came from the Bamber Bridge depo, and I live in Blackpool.

on tracking my parcel on My Yodel web page no luck when I arranged to collect from Newton Abbot Devon depot I suddenly received telephone call telling me not to bother to collect as it had been lost or stolen at the depot
when I complained the following day I was told that at least by phoning me concerning their loss of my parcel it had saved my time and petrol on a wasted journey, no mention of the fact that my parcel had been lost or stolen by them, nor any interest in any compensation for my loss
Firms should not use them

Got home from work to a my yodel we tried to deliver card through my front door.
Have tried to ring and go online with my 8 digit reference number to get re delivered only my reference number is not recognised
Rang the recruitment line number as there is no other way to speak to anyone to be told the phone line system and online re deliver service has gone down. You cant speak to anyone and cant attempt to fix their cock up. Wouldnt mind when they apparently came round there were people in my house fixing the back door with the front door wide open!!!

Purchased from Amazon
Day 1) - Tried to deliver, no one in - at work. Card pushed through door, tried to ring to arrange collection. Only able to speak with the computer as office was closed. The computer didn't like the number on the card and I was unable to speak with anyone.
Day 2) Managed to get through to a human being, they refused to deliver to my work address as this would mean transferring to another depot. I work 20 minutes from my home address. When I got home, no sign of a deliver card so assumed as they deliver to 21:00 I may get lucky and they may deliver it. No such joy, I logged on with the card from Day 1 and managed to find that my parcel had been delivered at 07:45 and "left in a safe place". Well at 23:00 last night I was looking through bushes, etc etc but no joy ..... my parcel isn't around!!!!!!!! Royal Mail managed to deliver 3 parcels yesterday!!!! Why are these so incapable.
AMAZON - If you are reading this. I will be purchasing my Xmas presents elsewhere next week. I'd rather bore my eyes out with a wooden spoon than allow you to line the pockets of these incompetent fools!!!!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE:
On day 3 after much Twitter chat and them basically asking me to go and ask random houses on my street if they had a parcel for me. It appears it they tried to deliver it to number 37. The driver then pushed a card through number 35 advising them he'd left a parcel for them at number 37.
Lucky for me the gentleman at 35 was honest and delivered my parcel to me!!! .... SHOCKING!!!!
Yodel had it logged as 25!! ... I live at 45.

I payed for a quick delivery to ensure i got my parcel in time for my daughters birthday.I work every afternoon so have not been in when they have tried to deliver it and the parcel "needs to be signed for" apparenty, even though i specifically said that the parcel could be left in a safe place. I am never here for the whole day so I cannot arrange for it to be re delivered, especially as you cannot actually speak to anyone in the company. I now have to do a two hour long round trip to collect the package. Ridiculous, do not waste your money.

UNBELIEVABLE..... Just completely useless. I've never experienced such incompetence as Yodel clearly demonstrate. Unfortunately they are a courier regularly utilized by Amazon and I do buy a lot of goods from them. I have had deliveries go missing for good, presumably stolen by the delivery driver, yet Yodel told me they couldn't help me in any way because they were marked as delivered and signed for by an unknown signatory. I've had two "sorry you were out" cards left through my door for separate shipments, one with "we left it in your safe place" and then written "IN THE BIN" (!!!???!!!??!!) and another had written "IN RECYCLING BIN". I never requested nor authorized these retards to take my goods and chuck them in the bin to get crushed by the binmen!!! I've had items broken. As we speak I have two items in two separate parcels in transit with them that are both four days late - the shipping information shows that they keep taking it to the wrong distribution centre, then the wrong depot, then the wrong address - without informing me of any of this. Meanwhile for a separate shipment of other goods, a note came through the door yesterday saying "sorry you were out, we left it with the shop next door" - collect from the polite gentlemen to find the box ripped, bashed and torn. The product box inside was crushed and the product has taken a beating. In the past I've had the lad on the service desk at Newhaven depot get wise and smart-ass with me. I've had a manager on the phone talk to me like I'm dirt on the bottom of her shoe. I've had sellers finding difficulty in securing a refund directly, even after I was told I must have the seller do this as they couldn't deal with me directly, and despite the hard proof that they messed up (scanned and emailed copies of delivery cards proving the goods were undelivered and basically dumped on the street). In all I estimate I am have had about £600 worth of goods either get damaged, not turn up, go missing for good or get put in the bin by a series of incompetent idiots. On the whole they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. The are the rudest company I have dealt with. I'm lost for words really. If I could be bothered to remark fully and in depth about every situation I briefly described above then this would be an essay. You could write a really boring book about it. Bottom line is this.......
Do not, under any circumstances, utilize Yodel as a courier to either send or receive any goods of any value or non-value unless you want it to go missing, get broken, dumped on the street/in a bin, or get spoken to like you're some kind of *******.

When I tracked my order in the morning, the system said "out for delivery at 07:30am". Based on that, I stayed indoors all day waiting for this parcel to turn up. At 20:00pm I decided to track it again only to realise their system said "attempted delivery at 08:30am. left customer with card." To start off with, no attempt had been made coz I was home all day and even if I hadn't heard the delivery man knock on my door, there was no card anywhere to be seen. As upset as I was I tried to call yodel to find out wat was going on, only to be answered by an answering machine that kept telling me to enter the 8 digit number that's at the top of my delivery card... I DON'T HAVE IT B****H. That was so upsetting and I hope never to be associated with them in future.

Yodel delivered some tee shirts (£130 worth from US) whilst I was working away. I say delivered, they just pumped a card through the door saying they left it in a "Safe Place" behind my green wheelie bin. Suffice to say it wasn't there when I got back some days later.
Worst part was their customer service - I called, gave my ref number (card had no date/time on it) and was told someone from missing parcels would get back to me within 24 hours - No one called
I Rang again following day - I was told it would be escalated to a manager and I would be called within "An Hour or so" - No one called
I rang again on following day - Was told a manager would call me back immediately - Eventually, someone did call stating I need to take it up with the company who sold the goods.
What a joke of a company!!
Have mailed DHL the url to this review site just so they are aware how shockingly bad Yodel are

Tried to fix a date for delivery after 2 cards left when I was working away. Website gave me a list of dates but wouldn't let me actually set any new dates. So got carded again and now I have to go to pick it up from the depot which is 20 miles away - which takes away all the advantages of home delivery, really.

My sister sent flowers through interflora from cyprus for my mothers birthday.......as she was out at the time a card was left stating they had been left in a safe place beside the dustbin.....a neighbour saw he left no flowers and the reference number on the card was not recognised so Im unable to contact MY Yodel..........WHAT A CON OF A COMPANY.......
A 250 pound item left in a open damp passage way over night . delivered 2 days before due delivery date . As we were away at the time the package was not signed for and just left in a cold damp area were anyone could take it, cats also use this area to pee and sleep in. This is not acceptable in any way.

have been waiting for a television to be delivered, bought from argos, everyday for an entire week, after being promised every day by argos that it would come on said days, every time i speak to argos customer service they assure me that my order has been given highest possible priority by a manager at myyodel, yet im still waiting. never using any delivery service provided by these again, and i highly recommend that nobody else does.

Two days last week I was home all day awaiting a delivery and both days a card was left with no effort to ring the buzzer while i was in. The same today. Very disappointing service and a waste of my time! I would change if I could.
I had one order from amazon that used my yodel i wasn't in so they left me a card saying it was in a safe place when really they meant it was at a neighbors! 3 days till i got my goods, now the same thing has happened! only this time they left no card (i don't believe they even knocked) as i was up at the time it says it was delivered, now all i know is one of my neighbors has had my goods for 7 days now. I cant get hold of one of them as they work nights and sleep through the day. all i know is someone called whitehead has it..
I cant find a contact number for my yodel any where!
so the fact is if it never turns up its one less present for my sons first birthday!

Unfortunately someone has attempted to send me a parcel via Yodel /myyodel couriers recently. I doubt whether I will ever actually see this parcel, as having waited in on 3 separate days now, it has never shown up. When you call customer services (and if you can get through- as the number doesn't always connect) they always say that delivery was attempted and no one was in. I honestly don't know why any reputable company would use their services.
I orderd an item from 24studio on 31st august and was told it would take 28 days as we were going away on 4th september and my son would be working i asked if they would drop it off at my neighbours if it arrived early, when we arrived home on 18th september we had 3 delivery notes to say they had called and the parcel had gone back to their service centre, we contacted the centre and arranged for it to be deliverd on tuesday the 25th and waited in all day and still not arrived .We will NOT be ordering from anybody who use this delivery service.

I ordered goods online, company notified item had been dispatched and gave me a Yodel tracking number. Due date arrives but parcel didn't. Tracking status stated 'unable to gain timely access'. I rescheduled, parcel did not arrive and status was not updated. Contacted the company who contacted Yodel and rescheduled delivery for the following day. Parcel still did not arrive and tracking status remained unchanged. Tried to file a complaint via their website. When I submitted I got an error page, no surprises there.
This is not the first issue I have had with this company and in future when I order online I will be checked which courier is used as I have no intention of ordering from a company that uses Yodel as their courier.
Deplorable service.

The name is right if you want a delivery from this company you got to YODEL for it 10mins calling the stressed customer service centre .Try to reschedule on line pop up tells me my postcode is invalid!!! Like I dont know my own postcode
My delivery was no problem at all. I ordered an expensive bike (Claud Butler), on line, late at night on Thursday 2nd August 2012. It was despatched the next day and was delivered to me in good condition midday Saturday 4th August. I cannot ask better than that.

I had a delivery from yodel on the 19th july i was in but for some reason they decided to just put a note through instead, again the same thing happened the next day the 20th july. I decided to phone yodel and rearranged for my delivery for monday i waited in all day and my parcel didnt arrive so for a second time i phoned and was told it was a mistake on there part and that delivery would be rearranged for wednesday again i waited in all day and again my parcel wasnt delivered. today thursday i phoned the company for the third time to now be told i am on none of their systems and they have no parcel for me in their warehouse and that my parcel must have been stolen. so with no apology yodel are quite happy to not look into it and allow thiefs to work for their company. i would advise everyone to not use this company and to let evryone know that they have no problem with stealing from an 18month old child.
Thank you YODEL you thieving scum bags!!!!!!!!!!!
"Your parcel has been left with your neighbour at No 1/3"
Awesome! Thanks! 1/3 has been unoccupied for at least 6 months and nobody else in the apartment block has my parcel!
Been on hold for 10 mins at 10p/min trying to get through to customer services. What a joke! If the rest of the reviews are anything to go by I can kiss my parcel goodbye!
This company will not be in business long with the service they provide. I have informed sports direct I will not shop with them untill they find better courier.
Screwed up both my holiday deliveries 1 went to wrong address and 1 didnt even make it to me, they claimed a failed delivery yet no card was put in letterbox and sports direct say will refund once received back to them. Poor service from Sports direct who also dont seem to give a F%#k either so guess they will be out of business soon to at this rate
Used parcel2go as agent
YODEL
Would you believe the item was delivered but the contents of the reinforced tube were missing. Contents of tube removed and contents missing. Tube resealed.
Parcel2go complaint procedure. Man in the moon would have a better chance.
Contacted YODEL and to say a could not care less would be an apt description of their attitude.
Both parcel2go and YODEL are truly rubbish and give white van man a good name by compasisson
Do yourself a favour and refuse to buy from any supplier which uses MyYodel. They are incompetent. Their website does not work - if you try to re-arrange delivery it will say that it is on the van (even on a day when you know you won't be in). If you ring customer services you WILL be kept on hold for 15-20 minutes at 10p/min. They will then tell you that it's on the van and they can't re-organise delivery until it's back at the depot.
I am now contacting ebay suppliers and refusing to bid unless they GUARANTEE that MyYodel will not be used. I will do anything legal to ensure that this company and others like it take responsibility for their appalling standards. The directors should personally pay compensation to EVERY dissatisfied customer - and I have yet to see a satisfied one!
Ordered something from a company who use YODEL they've tried to deliver it while at work.Left a card with a number for an automated delivery re arrangement service number is apparently permanently engaged. So used website, website also offers a number to pick up from local depot ,you guessed it number is permanently engaged!! So had to use on line re arrangement service, trouble is they wont offer a time and weekdays only i,e when I`m at work. Have had to arrange a day and ask nephew to sit in the house all day.
I would suggest if anyone is thinking of using a a seller that uses Yodel they don't.I have already informed my seller i wont use them again purely because they use YODEL
i ordered a double bed via my Very catologue, yodel delivered the bed on time amazingly, but the bed was damaged,i have since been waiting 2 weeks for yodel to collect and return it back to Very, eveytime i get the same response, please wait we will call you back within 3 days, except i never get the calls returned,im always ringing them at 10p a minute, eventually when i do get a call and a convenient date and time for the bed to be picked up(as i have school runs to do),i wait in all day and no-one comes,i then ring up to enquire why and the staff on phone fob me off with different excuses as to why they havent turned up?they have both my telephone numbers, mobile and home,no card was left,no knock on door, yet my friend saw 2 yodel men approach my balcony walkway(i live on the second floor)then just walk away back to their van!!i guess they realized i live up 2 flight of stairs and couldnt be bothered to carry a double bed back down them,
i heard the postman drop a letter through my door that day,but yodel didnt even bother to come to my front door,i know as i sat near my door on chair and front door is all glass, even rang the Vey catalogue to complain about their delivery service and got told the same thing, please wait 3 days for them to ring you, grrr!!utter useless bunch of gimps!will not be using Very again for large items as they use yodel,or any other company that uses them either, stay away
It is absolutely crazy that a company can allow itself to be run like this. This is surely business suicide because, like all the other reviewers, I have to agree that my experience is so shockingly bad I am at a loss for words. Taking the day off work to be in for a rescheduled delivery only to be told I had asked for collection at a depot at least 30 mile round drive is scandalous. I am racking my brains trying to figure out how to get my parcel which I need to have now! I can't take another day off and can't have it delivered to neighbours. This company deserves to go to the wall. If I worked for them I would quickly look for another job because there's no way it can last.
Cannot keep promises and lie as standard company procedure.
Lost a parcel and lie about deliveries.
I have instructed my supplier to either move away from Yodel or lose my business...
Yodel don't care, they are in their own World of Shite.!!!!!
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY>>>!!!
You expect a delivery company to do one thing: deliver packages.
A good delivery company will say "We'll be there between [say] 12 and 2" and show up between 12 and 2. MyYodel says "We'll show up between 7am and 9pm" and then doesn't. Repeatedly.
A halfway decent delivery company will have a workable tracking service and a call centre that doesn't hang up on you before you reach a human, and customer service that responds to email. MyYodel... well, guess what?
And any delivery company worthy of the name will deliver its parcels. MyYodel, despite a week of me trying, hasn't even had the courtesy to acknowledge there's a problem. Shocking.
This is the worst courier ever. Their customer services assume that the client is not truthfull. When I phoned and asked them about my parcel, they said that they have already tried to deliver three times, so I can't request another delivery. That was not the case. They only tried twice. I only received 2 slips thru the door, and only one was on actual Yodel paper. The last onehad written on it "I will reattemp tomorrow", which indeicates that this was not their 3rd attempt! Also, not sure about their English, I never heard the word "reattempt" before. Now I have to go to their depot, which is 75 miles round trip. What about my wasted time, and money. I paid 8 pounds for the delivery, which was added to my item, and now I have to pay another 15 pounds to get it myself. Adding the cost of phonecalls, plus the waste of my time and childcare for my son, for the time i have to spend driving there and back... YODEL - you are not worth it! And - I want my money back!
This company and personnel are the worst i have ever dealt with. They are totally incompetent and do not act on the information given. You complain and you the customer are paying for that in the phone call. They have lied and promise NOTHING............Awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If i could rate Zero, thats what it would be.

Absolutely appaling service. 3 times it has tried to deliver although we told them we are at work. Parcel needs a signature and it does not accept signatures on notes left stating a safe place, although all other delivery companies that deliver things to us will.
To read their website you would think they were the best thing since sliced bread, I think they should be reported to the Trade Descriptions Act!!!

They should not get even one star.
I found a"we missed you today card" in my flat, rearranged a delivery via the internet then phoned on the appointed day only to be told that they had no record of the reference number on the card.
This meant that they got the benefit of the cost of my call at 10p per minute and I still don't know what the parcel was all about.
I sent them an email days ago but not even an acknowledgement.

Numerous parcels missing, not just over Christmas, no way to contact them other than by email, and redelivery bookings blatantly ignored. The horrendously bad service this company provide actually make me so angry that I'm finding it hard to type this review. They should go out of business immediately, and their managers should be stripped of all wealth and birched in public.

What a waste of space this company is. First my partner went to the depot to collect my parcel for me but received bad customer service. Hands up I didn't see on their website about needing my photo ID also but there's no need to react the way they did. The parcel has just been delivered today but it has obviously been tampered with as the packaging is all ripped and has sarcastic messages about ID stuck to the front. Not happy at all. The parcel was from HMV (a games console). Can't believe HMV use such a dreadful company.
Also a while ago I pre-ordered a X-Box Kinect for delivery on the day of release and this went "missing" in their warehouse for a period of time. Myyodel get your act together! Shame there are no minus stars to choose from.
this company is from the dark ages, waiting waiting waiting they had my delivery but now it has gone into cyberspace, please do not use them.
