Limited time in New York. Want to make the most of your time there andsee as much as possible? Then get a New York Pass in advance and plan your day(s) before you arrive to hit the ground running. Would certainly buy another for my next trip.
very usefull as the busses can take you pretty much to every point of interest ,but to make it worth the money you need to be ready to rush in order to use the full opportunites that the pass is giving you because it is time consuming to go from one point ro the other and quite often the atractions them selfs will make you wait a certain amount of time that in the and migth take you out of your plan scheduel.all in all it is a very good service.the only complaint i have is in effect that on the busses map that they gave us, there was a route that goes all the way along the hudson river and we avent seen one single bus go by that way ,so after loosing an hour and a half there we ended up taking a cab to our next destination
I really enjoyed the city of NY with my NY PASS, and, the best, I saved a lot of money! I bought a 3 Day Pass, as I spent a week in the city, and in this 3 days i was able to visit the main highlights.
I went to Lady Liberty, MoMA, Madame Tussauds, Top of the Rock, Empire State, MET, Museum of Natural History and Guggenhein, without spent anything else after purchasing my NY Pass. And if we had time, we could have seen much more!
The only thing that made me a little disappointed was that I expectd to skip the lines to buy the entrances to the attractions, but as I need to show my NY Pass card and take the entrances anyway, there are places where had a special place where we could take our entrances without stay in the line, like some museums, but in other places, like Lady Liberty, we needed to stay in the line to take our entrances.
The new york pass we purchased was superb, both in quality and value. It gave us unlimited sight seeing bus travel, which we used to the max and the discounts etc to the main attractions were amazing. We saved around 200 dollars over 4 days by purchasing this and not using public transport or paying full price for the main attractions. Highly recommended, with many colection points around the city.
We were able to see everything we wanted and more and for a fraction of th actual cost! Can not believe what we achieved in such a small space of time. Definitely worth getting and even more so if you plan ahead!
First of all, tourists cannot loose half a day to go and withdraw the NY Pass. You should allow printing it from the internet or deliver it at tourists' hotels. Second thing, in the office attendants are not very kind, their answers sometimes are very impolite and they are not very keen in helping. From your booklet we understood that the Harlem Gospel Tour was included but then we discovered we had to pay an extra and go elsewhere to withdraw tickets (once again it is unacceptable for tourists to spend a lot of time seeking for passes). Same thing for the Empire State Building if you want to reach the very last floor. Information is deceptive. Buses are without roof... unbelievable when outside temperature is -2°C, 0°C! We were freezing. Guides speak too fast (even if I'm quite fluent in English, impossible to follow their speeches), I think only Americans understand them! Buses are very very very dirty, when it is possible to seat downstairs (very rare opportunity) windows are so dirty that you cannot see anything or graphics do not allow to look outside. We were given headphones on buses but the system was always broken. The only time I could hear something translation in Italian was so terrible that it was impossible to understand a single word. Your internet site is misleading because it is not clear that if ever your wish to be a little warmer on a bus, or take the first bus that passes your stop you have to pay an extra to buy another pass (vip card). That is unacceptable. I don't think I will use your service ever again if it does not improve. Best regards, P.Cataldi
