After ordering my chair, I rang the company to enquire about delivery times. I spoke to the owner of the company who was friendly and most hopeful. Today I received another call from the company giving me an update on delivery information. This was in addition to web access to track the order. I have been very impressed with the company.
I was looking for a Herman Miller SAYL chair - I'd tried one out in John Lewis and tried to buy one there, only to find out they were out of stock and would be for the next 8 weeks or so. At £600 per chair this was somewhat annoying.
I tried looking online and found OfficeChairsUK who were offering the same SAYL chair for about £470 - which was quite a saving and reckoned they could get me the chair the next day!
So, I phoned up to enquire and yes they had it in stock.
So, I took a gamble and ordered it. And it promptly turned up the next day! It's gorgeous and I've tweaked it to perfection for me.
The reason for the dropped star; TNT, the couriers. Couple of things; minor first, to keep costs down OfficeChairsUK ship with TNT who can't give you a delivery time other than between 8am and 5pm which is a touch annoying, but that isn't the actual reason for the lost star. The chair turned up in side a massive cardboard box, with no padding or other cushioning material, upside down! Fortunately, and as the lady at OfficeChairsUK said, these chairs are virtually indestructable, so the chair didn't seem to have suffered any damage. The couriers didn't seem to care the box had been nearly destroyed and the chair was balancing on it's back and seat, which was rather concerning. Still, the chair's fine, so only 1 star drop. And a saving of £130. Lovely chair too!
Bought a freedom office chair about ￡600 suppose to be new one but when i get it there were lots of scratches and wear dent on the back Aluminium frame . Seller offer me a discount for keep this . Fairly happy ! Hope your guys will make this things better in the future.
Original choice of chair would have taken 9 weeks to deliver. I sent an email to them and immediately they investigated. They found new stock arriving earlier with the same specs. Got my chair far sooner. Delivery was next day with great feedback to all my questions.
I've one of those jobs where I sit at a Mac anyway from 8 to 14 hours a day depending on workload and deadlines. Having previously bought two office chairs, the latter supposedly being ergonomic, I was still suffering with lower back pain so decided to bite the bullet and buy a Herman Miller Embody chair. After trawling the internet, Office Chairs UK had the right product at the best price and it was delivered exactly when they said if would be. Couldn't have asked for more. Oh and the chair is absolutely amazing :)
Everything went very smooth. Ordering on the web-site was easy. I found lots of useful information, videos, etc to help me make my choice. The delivery was made promptly after a phone call from the courier the day before. It is important to me to have a really good chair that support properly as I sit over 8 hours a day in it for work and when this chair arrive it really has lived up to the description. It really is a great chair.
I hadn't received information on delivery date or an invoice within the first 6 days after ordering the chair. Once flagged up, Office chairs came back to me with a response immediately and an apology for the lack of communication.
