Sky is undoubtedly a great product that enables us to have superb viewing ability and of course like many people I could no longer live without it. Sky Plus has transformed my world, it is an amazing piece of technology, so thank you to whoever invented it! I can't wait for the day when more than 2 programmes can be recorded at once.
However, if I have ever had a problem, it has been less than satisfactory. I have had to hold on the line sometimes for well over 20 minutes to speak to someone who has less knowledge than me to fix the problem. In addition I believe the CS team are based in Scotland and sometimes it is quite hard to understand their very strong accents.
this firm are very good suppliers of phone broadband and tv.Reasonably priced but most of all the staff are usually friendly pleasant and helpful, which Is one reason I refuse to move to anyone else as my supplier, also other companies find the price hard to beat.
why do big companys always forget about there customers who have been with them for over ten years, all the deals are for new customers half price for 6 months, while us not loyal now customer get nowt
For entertainment and quality it really is in a league of its own, there really isn't any competition for the products they have.
I wouldn't be with out Sky at all.
There are 2 little niggles with sky tho'
1 You can't access the 3D package without having all the packages (I'm a little disappointed by this, as I have everything except Sports package, and thats not because I would buy the sports package except I have no real interest in them at all, I' a film and Tv guy not a sports person)
2 I would like to see Sky do the same as BT and thats develop in other areas such as the purchase of technology. The BT shop on their webpage sells related technologies i.e. computers, hard-drives and Tv's etc... Maybe this is something sky would contemplate doing as I would like the idea of buying that kinda of stuff from a company I trust.
Repeat after repeat after repeat after repeat. And worse still, huge chunks cut out of good programmes to make way for endless adverts. It is so bad in some instances it is almost impossible to follow the plot. Fortunately, I have usually seen the full BBC version before.
I separated and moved-out, post what my ex called sky and transfered sky service to address where there was NO sky service, post what I received notification that I owe sky subscription fee for service that sky DID NOT provide to address where ex transfered service. Sky customer service did not listed and did not want to understand that there is NO SKY service on the new billing address - passed my details to Bailifts and treatened em with court. At same time - ex got "recomended" to Sky as new customer on the address where SKY had service for years - which enabled ex to get 75e from Sky as "new customer".. What a scam & sure this drives wrong behaviour... EX & newer back SKY customer
I cancelled my Sky account, the day before my payment date, thereby giving Sky one full month and a days notice. I have been with Sky on the full package since it started in 1991.
2 days before the package was to end, 20th of April, I was called by Sky, who offered me a half price package for 12 months on all but my HD and ESPN subs, amounting to £48 a month, instead of £71.50 previously.
I accepted the offer and expected it to come into effect 2 days later on 22nd April my normal payment date. However instead the service disconnected. When I called to ask what the problem was, Sky told me they had no recollection of "my call to them"? and that this offer was not available, but that I could have 25% reduction for 12 months instead. As you can imagine under the circumstances, i refused the shabby offer. Perhaps that might have been halved to12 and a half % 2 days later, who knows.
The only reason this didn't get 5 stars was the amount of repeats. You would think for the amount of money they charge you would be able to watch a lot more new programs.
We have been with sky for almost three years now and I have to say that there customer service has been excellent. We have the HD package and the quality is fantastic. Any queries or problems I have had have always been answered/resolved very quickly. So hats off to Sky for there good work.
But they've created a Sports monopoly - the reason why football costs so much. Ban 'em! We choose freeview/Freesat (free with HD) with £5 a month of Lovefilm. Can't understand why people pay Sky £700 a year - more if you want an extra box, HD or anything extra. Rip off. Do without it.
I only use Sky as an internet provider and I have to say they are utterly fantastic, I've never had an issue with downtime, the speed is consistently excellent and I've always had a speedy & knowledgeable response from the customer support.
The only thing I will say against them is that I'm not massively overjoyed by the charge put in place if you do not have Sky TV with them as well, I think this is something to be addressed.
i had no internet for 10 days i woz hung upon/ told owe well its done when its done i woz so unhappy i said that maybe i should go back to vergin thay werent botherd about looseing me as a customer :(
