Sharp Practice from Pipetto
I purchased an Ipad3 case from an Amazon Local "special" offer. The confirmation e-mail from Pipetto referred a reference number associated with an Ipad2 case on their website. I pointed this out to them by return of e-mail but was asked to wait until the product arrived. When it arrived it was packaged as an Ipad3 case but it had a white sticker on it with the Ipad2 reference number written onto it. I also noticed that the interior was burgundy rather than purple as specified on the website (the Ipad2 cover was specified as burgundy) but I decided not to mention this at the time. I complained about the fit and that the sleep function appeared not to work as you would expect on a £100 product!
I was asked to return the product as it appeared that I had been sent an incorrect item and that a replacement would be provided. When the new product arrived it to had a burgundy interior and does not fit much better. When I e-mailed and pointed out about the fit and interior cover I was told that the website specified that all the brown Ipad covers had burgundy interiors and that they could not find where purple was mentioned. When I checked the website did indeed specify the products as they said because they had changed the site following my notification but did not own up to doing so. Fortunately I had printed out the specification the previous day and have offered to show them this to prove my point!
I have been offered a refund but what I want is the special offer that I entered into a contract with Pipetto for. One could suspect that this was deliberate misselling but I would not accuse them of this but can you really trust a company who operates in this way?

Rubbish iPhone grab/cover (iPhone flip case)
Do not buy this case unless you like having your iPhone fall out of it when it is 'unflipped'. There is no safety catch on the top of the case holding the phone in. This means if the cover is opened and it is tilted more than 90 degrees to the horizontal, when getting up from a seated position for example, your phone is going to be intimately introduced to the floor. Terrible design, and for £40 it is a real disgrace. www.pipetto.co.uk
