No complaints about about the booking, met at airport as arranged, collect form hotel as arranged, mobile app worked well. I would use the service again. My only issue was that the drivers for both my journeys used their mobile phones to call/receive calls and text while driving 7 of my family along snow laden roads. I understand that resorthoppa do not directly employ these drivers but they should have a service level that prohibits this. This was in Bulgaria with return trip from Sofia to Borovets
We recently holidayed in the Algarve and the transport to our resort was more or less on time. The vehicle however was clean, the driver most courteous and the journey took the amount of time stated and so the transfer was a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately a death in the family meant that we had to cut our stay short by one week and even more unfortunately we did not hear of this until after office hours on the Friday. We managed to arrange a flight home on the following Tuesday but were unable to contact Resorthoppa over the weekend. There was an emergency phone number which we tried to use but were told that it was only for emergencies! As we were away to Seville all of Monday we couldn't phone then. Help came from Reception and our transfer was arranged at such short notice. Not only was it a spotless taxi with a most likeable driver who arrived exactly on time, but no extra charge was made for the upgrade. So many thanks indeed for helping us at such a difficult time. Yes, I would use Resorthoppa again and despite the blip I would recommend it to my friends.
I had made a mistake when booking and did not realise that drop-offs and pick-ups were only from hotels or the like and not private villas. This was my fault as I should have realised that this is a transfer agency and not a taxi service! On arrival at Lanzarote airport the girl could not have been more helpful in making the change for me. On my return, again, when I phoned the change was made without any fuss and the pick-up arrived exactly when I was told it would. Both coaches were very clean and comfortable and the drivers were very helpful with luggage. Would most certainly use them next time.
Got to Tenerife south airport and found the girl at the transfer office had not added us to the bus that should have taken us to our resort. Was told to go outside the terminal and wait. After about 40 minutes a bus turned up and took us to our resort. On the return journey the transfer bus did not turn up and another couple waiting along with us had to phone the office and they sent a taxi.When we got to the airport there was some confusion with taxi driver as when he asked my name he didn't recognise it on his list. When I got home I complained to ResortHoppa who refunded our return transfer fee.
arrived at antalya airport at 2400 hrs and wasn't picked up 'til 0200. Had a pleasant enough journey through the night to alanya and that's when the nightmare began.The driver was lost and didn't know the locations of any of the hotels.He searched for 2 hours then gave up.Another driver was summoned and his geographical skills weren't much better but he did managed to reverse into a stationary moped much to the annoyance of the female owner whom phoned the police.Our driver fled the scene thankfully and got us to our hotel around 0800. Considering it was meant to be a 2 hour journey it became an exhaustive nightmare.
Friendly,helpful drivers.Punctual pickups.Only problem encountered was when reconfirming return pickup;as instructed I called GreenBus Algarve 48 hours in advance .I was told the computer system was down.This continued for most of the day.After repeated calls to them(only to be told to ring back later),I got fed up and asked the agent to telephone ME instead.(which she did). It would have been far better customer service to have offered to do this in the first place.We do not need this hassle and stress on holiday!
We booked a private transfer to and from Tenerife South airport. When we arrived at TFS we found it difficult to find the correct desk. There is no resort hoppa desk and the number and position and number of the desk we were told to go to were incorrect. We ended up app risking another desk and they wrote down where we should go- the opposite end of the terminal. We had to wait a long time for our transfer to arrive and during the journey to Golf del Sur the door opened and if I hadn't been strapped in I would have fallen out! We had to stop and fix the door. Other than this the return transfer was quick and on time.
our flight to madeira was diverted due to bad weather at funchal. we arrived the following afternoon and were delighted to find the transport to our hotel waiting for us. the return journey was thankfully less complicated but our booked transport was on time and delivered us to the airport in plenty of time. I would have to give resorthoppa and their local supplier 10 out of 10 for the service we received.
Everything went boringly well. After arriving showed my voucher at the office and was helped to a 9 seater luxury minibus. Exclusively for ourselves were taken straight to our hotel. The driver was very smart and courteous. Return was just as efficient, picked up on time and a swift exclusive journey back to the airport. I used a voucher code and with this made it a real bargain. My advise use the exclusive taxi service if you can, gets the holiday off to a great start.
when we arrived in St Lucia, we arrived 40 minutes early, and found someone waiting with a name plaque, and helped us with out bags to a nice clean car, which smelt nice and had air conditioning, the driver was polite and chatty when we struck up the conversation with him. his driving was very relaxed and was an enjoyable hour commute to our destination. The collection for the journey home was different, the driver seemed polite when he arrived, the people carrier looked up together and we set off. however no air-conditioning we were sweating within a few minutes, for the whole hour before a 9hr flight so wasn't that pleasant. it also smelt of cigarettes so wasn't as enjoyable a ride. the worse bit was the driving was exactly like the locals, overtaking round blind bends and up hills when you couldn't see, which made us quite uneasy and look forward to the end of the journey. so mixed review! the price was fair, we checked internet for transfers and found resorthoppa to be around the same price as what others had said so seemed fine. I woudl chance my luck again but with open eyes next time!
We have used Resorthoppa all over the world with great success but the was chaos! Left waiting an hour for transfer from the airport, the agent thought we had been picked up twice. From the hotel was just booking a cab as so late. Then not a private transfer but a large coach. Met a colleague leaving my hotel, same thing had happened to him, he wasn't Resorthoppa but same agent Resorthoppa - you need to change your agent NOW before the summer brings more chaos!
I booked Resorthoppa to pick us up from JFK and to take us back to the airport at the end of our wonderful stay in New York. Both drivers were punctual and friendly. The only negative is that when I showed them the e-mail confirmation of the booking they asked for the voucher but I only had the e-mail. I managed to pursuade them that the e-mail was in fact the voucher but I still don't know if I should have received a voucher as well as an e-mail confirming the booking. I would recommend Restorthoppa to my friends.
3rd time using service. Had a not great experience last time as paid for max 4 drops to beat package tour bus to hotel and had more than four drops and driver spent ages looking for a location. This time in Tenerife transfer to resort was very speedy but return to airport again was more than 4 and went a strange way that took longer.
Although usually better, our last transfer from Los Gigantes to Reina Sophia Airport, Tenerife, was not up to the usual standard. We were asked to go to a different collection point but the office did not tell the coach driver this so this delayed the coach. We had paid for Speedy Transfer which is advertised as a maximum of 4 collections and an approximate length of 45 minutes. Instead of this we made 6 collections and the journey took 1 hour 30 minutes. Not sure I would spend the extra money again.
We were pleased when we were offered private transfers to/from the airport at Funchal for very little extra but less so when we arrived at Funchal ( on 10 Feb) and found ourselves sharing a minibus with about 6 other people. It was a similar story on our return, this time sharing with 2 other people in a minibus. The problem was exacerbated by us being told our pick up was at 10.10 for a 13.45 flight. This meant we arrived at the airport more than 3 hours before the flight and then to be told the desk did not open until 2 hours before the flight which left us hanging around for an extra hour. It seems that the company prefers to pick people up when it suits them and not their customers. The whole experience has NOT acceptable and leaves us with the view that we would not bother to use Resorthoppa again
I have only used this service twice, but on each occassion was very impressed with the service. The low prices, the realiability, and courteous staff and drivers. I am now a converted fan, and have relayed this to all of my friends and family. if you are going abroad everybody should book Resorthoppa, its the only way to travel to your holiday resort.
