My boyfriend was very sceptical about ordering a tire on line. He usually gets his stuff at his bike shop. I read reviews and convinced him to order from Ribble Cyles. He was shocked by the low prices and how quickly he received his tire. He is extremely satisfied with his order. Original packaging and packed with bubble rap to protect the tire. Cheapest place I found on line compared to other on line cycling stores. A+++ Definitely will order from there again and recommend this site 100%
I have been dealing with Ribble Cycles for over 5 years know both as a Australian and a UK resident. In that time I have purchased almost all my Road Cycling requirements including 1 complete bike and 4 groupsets and all may maintenance needs. The service and delivery times are always exceptional!! but most important is the after sales service you receive from the team, as you are all well aware products fail and sometime are just not up to the stated standard, this is by no means Ribbles fault that a chainset fails ETC, but the response time to fix your issues and have you back out riding your trusty steed is 2nd too none!! On top of this you will go a long way to find a competitor with better prices on the market like for like!.
I was looking for a good quality pair of wheels for roadwork, without having to paid out lots of money. I trolled through lots of companies, eBay and Gumtree and Ribble were noticeably the best value. The wheels were shipped quickly, so I was extremely pleased.
I have received my third shipment from Ribble and I'm extremely happy with their service. I have ordered an Ultra TT frame, which arrive very fast and was well protected inside the box. In the last two weeks I have received two more deliveries of Dura Ace 9000 and it's been on time and all my questions have been answered really quick.
I have now been using this site for over two years. The level of service is fantastic as well as the prices, they are hard to beat. All what cycling enthusiast need in one store! Reasonable next day delivery service whic always arrives before 9 a.m.
The only thing I'd like to change about it is free returns but apart from that it s great
I broke a small part on my bike which needed a replacement. 1 email and 5 minutes later, a replacement is in the post to me. You can't ask for better than that. Just about as helpful as you could wish for. Thanks Ribble!
In general I have to say I'm extremely pleased with the bike that I ordered from Ribble Cycles. However there are some caveats to this and I'll get to them further in in the review.
First the good bits. I gave the sales team a quick call to discuss frame size as I was between sizes and found them to be very helpful. Their suggestion that I go for the medium instead of the large size (gran condo) proved to be the right one.
Order placement to bike delivery took 8 working days (Tuesday to following Friday) which is somewhat shorter than the claim they make on their site.
Bike was well packaged and needed minimal assembly to put together. Really it couldn't be easier to put the bars on and stick the seat post in the frame.
Now the little bits that stop them getting a 5 star review.
Firstly, out of the box the front derailleur didn't shift to the big ring. Sorted by a small tweak of one of the limit screws. I also like my brakes a little further out from the rim but that's purely personal preference.
Secondly I rang back the sales team to ask about carbon assembly paste but the help I got was not so good - basically "you could try it and see how it goes".
So in summary I would say that if you buy from Ribble you'll get an excellent product at a price you won't believe and a quick delivery - certainly on a par with other mail order companies. I was willing to accept a little set up niggle because I'm handy with the tools.
By the way the first thing I did was take the bike on a 60 mile route with 6000ft of climbing and it rode like a dream.
I work in London but have family in Chorley. I regularly order from Ribble particularly when I'm due back home in the Northwest and I've got to say the are the best bunch I have ever come across for all my cycling needs. Where do you start they sell everything but the kitchen sink although the website isn't always the easiest to navigate. Mind you if you have the time to have a good look around it I promise you will find what your looking for.
Like me if you can't always find something or need advice just ring them, I do and their staff always come across professional and knowledgeable. I recently ordered another bike from Ribble the third time I have done so, this time it was for my son and his weapon of choice was the Gran Fondo with Stem and Wheel Upgrade. The bike is beautiful and he is well pleased with it. There was a slight issue re the stem, I had chosen an upgrade but a different stem had been used. I phoned Ribble and arranged with them to pop in when I was next in the Northwest to swap it out. They duly obliged and the stem was swopped yesterday. They can't do enough for you and I will continue to use them for as long as I'm still cycling
Having got into cycling a couple of years ago, I've had some good experiences with bike shops but RIbble Cycles is now definitely my favourite shop. Their product ranges are massive, and my last few orders have been despatched very quickly. I had a small issue with one order and contacted their customer service team, they were very friendly and sorted out my issue immediately.
Ribble will be my first port of call for bike bits from now on!
I bought some Ultegra di2 upgrades from Ribble from the online store, after placing the order I was contacted by one of there team and offered the same items that had been removed from a demo bike from the London bike show i believe, I was told that there was a small mark on the rear derailleur and that if i wanted them i could have a sizable discount on top of the fact that they were already the cheapest price i could find online. The parts arrived two days later and in all honesty i cant see a single mark on any of the components, I fitted them to the bike and guess what..... everything works perfectly.
I dont think I'll be using any other bike shop than Ribble for the foreseeable future.
My purchase of a Sportive 365 carbon frame from Ribble has been absolutely faultless - Steve at Ribble answered all my pre and post Sale questions quickly and courteously, while the frame arrived safely on the morning of the third working day after I put the order in. The frame has exceeded my expectations in terms of both design and finish - my main road bike has a "top name" European carbon frame and, in finish at least, the Ribble puts it to shame. It's building up beautifully and the only possible downside is that the frame has been bought as a year-round training / commuting bike, but it really looks too good to get wet. My experience of Ribble service has been absolutely top rate and, if the Sportive 365 is anything to go by, their carbon frames get my highest recommendation.
Purchased a bike from Ribble and the rear mech and hanger were damaged upon arrival. This was due to the Parcelforce man throwing the bike accross the lorry? The customer service team sent out a new hanger for me to fit!!!! The wrong colour (Black on a white/silver bike.... Really). I fitted the hanger to find that the rear mech was actually damaged so returned the whole bike asking for a total replacement due to the damage caused. I was informed I was getting a new frame and components........ Total lies, the frame was new but everything else was the same, including the damaged rear mech!!!!! I photographed the serial numbers. I recieved a phone call from the MD???? Who was blunt stating that the parts were new when they initially sent them to me, so are still new. I could accept the bike as it was, return for a new bike, or return the bike for a refund. Due to the Pooooooooor customer service and lies from Ribble I have returned the bike for a full refund and am still trying to get the delivery costs returned.
There was no apology made to myself (which usuallly goes a long way with me) and the staff informed me that when the bike was returned it would just be sold to someone else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have purchased a Ribble Sportive Bianco frame number RB-201112-1-0058 This was the first one sent out to me and damaged in transit. If you have purchased a Campag Athena rear mech serial number 0102685 RO12-AT81 0000925813, this was the damaged rear mech sent out to me TWICE.
I have posted this review to hopefully prevent anyone purchasing second hand/damaged goods from Ribble and to prevent the risks of accidents (which Ribble will accept no responsibility for).

My review is an honest and accurate reflection of the service received from your company. I understand that you are trying to run a business and protect your on-line sales, however you are questioning my honesty and integrity which is not whats at stake here.
This review was not intended to cause problems for yourself or your company, but to highlight to other people using your website, that you were willing to sell on components and frames that are potentially damaged! I saw the way the bike was thrown across the lorry by the parcelforce man, which I agree is not your companies issue, however I was told on several occasions that these items would be sold onto another customer. I am an ex-precision toolmaker so am fuly aware that when a moving part (chain) is connecting with a non moving part (derailleur rail arm) there is obviosly some form of misalignment? My worry was and still is that someone may be purchasing sub standard parts from yourselves and as a customer not getting the service they rightly deserve.
I notice that no comment was made relating to the selling on of the potentially damamged parts? You say you acted in a responsible and honourable manner? If thepotentially damaged items have or will be sold on I can not see how that would be described as either responsible or honourable.
As you said to me on the telphone, you are not willing to do business with me in future, which is fine by me however I believe other customers should be aware of the facts when looking to purchase items, whether from yourselves or anyone else.
I like to browse the website as often as my piggy bank allows me and I am rarely disappointed when looking for parts to upgrade the family bikes. Wide variety of stock and good offers are often found - even more the customer service is highly commendable, from easy ordering on the website, secure payments, good packaging through to swift delivery. I like the service I received from Ribble Cycles and would recommend to every cyclist for a great deal 🚲 🏆 No fear!
I've bought from Ribble several times before, often ordering at the last minute. Their stock is always accurate, their staff are helpful and friendly and their prices are great too. I would have no reservations ordering again and would happily recommend others to do so too!
I've ordered quite a few items from various UK based websites for cycle parts and I've found that the service from Ribble's to be one of the better ones, the website is good to use, the delivery times from the UK to NZ are very impressive and I'd recommend them to anyone.
