My boiler stopped working yesterday and I called the Service Team who sent a very pleasant young lad who knew his stuff and had the problem fixed in under an hour. Very impressed.
I normally can't be bothered to leave reviews - but my experience with Serviceteam was so different to the last time I had a boiler issue - I've put fingers to keyboard. They turned up when they said, had the parts, fixed it and left. Would recommend.
From the moment I picked up the phone following my boiler giving up I was massively impressed by service team. They were excellent from start to finish and I have taken the time to write this review which I wouldn't normally do!
Wow what an experience, very happy with the work received and great customer service, I would definitely recommend Serviceteam to my friends and family.
I have used ServiceTeam on a number of occasions and they never disappoint. Having the prices clearly displayed on their websites means you are never hit any nasty surprises after the work is done. Quality.
I used service team for a variety of work over the last year - I was recommended them by a colleague. Its useful to know that you can go to one firm to help with anything from tree surgery to decorating and I've no doubt I'll be using their services again.
For someone such as myself who is in no way a IT person at all, I am always apprehensive using computer repair places, feeling like they see me coming and rip me off. So I took a chance with the service team. It has paid off, I liked the personalised service you get right from the first phone call. Then when the engineer came to my house to diagnose the issue he moved appointments around in the day so he could get to my house earlier as I had night shift that night. I was very appreciative of that. He was friendly and I felt comfortable inviting him into my home. Also the best part is you see them doing the work then and there so you know what the labour cost is going to be. Absolutely recommend them.
I've just had a lovely picture of a very tidy garden sent to me from my wife and I can't wait to fly back home tomorrow to enjoy it in the good weather! By all accounts a great job done. Well done.
I called upon this company to inspect a very small water leak on my Valliant Boiler.
It has been the worst, longest and most expensive boiler repair service I have had,
Taking Serviceteam, 18 days, 4 engineer visits, 3 parts and multiple complaints to fix.
They are no different to rogue tradesmen who delay fixing a simple problem, requiring multiple call outs and fit parts which are not required to maximise their revenue stream.
• they will debit your Credit Card in full without warning for all charges immediately
• No formal quotations made available to allow you to manage costs
• No Invoices were raised to review
• Charge inflated prices for parts which were not actually required (even when it was clear they did not fix the problem)
• Then will also charge for labour costs to fit these unnecessary parts
• Customer service and urgency in fixing a Boiler takes a back seat
Sequence of events are below:
1. 31 May - Boiler leak reported to Service team
2. 03 June - engineer came and left claiming problem was fixed (£96 charged)
3, 04 June - I reported the leak was still present
4. 06 June - engineer came and claimed part required to fix leak and would contact me
(second engineer visit and the engineer did not come prepared with simple parts)
5. 12 June - no news from engineer or service team, complaints raised
6. 15 June - engineer fitted valve to fix leak, £156 automatically debited on charged on my Visa
more parts were required due to an ‘unexpected problem being found on the boiler’
8. 15 June - Leak came back even worse within hours of the engineer fitting the part and boiler failed.
9. 16 June - complained to Serviceteam
10. 18 June - Engineer came to fit a water pump and another valve £388 automatically debited from my credit card.
Total cost £686 automatically charged without any warning!
Judging by history I get a feeling that in a few hours the problems will reoccur and they will send their same trusted engineer to fit more parts…
Well above average service desk for booking the job and following up. Impressive technical skill and knowledge from technicians - polite and communicative with the customer at all times - clean and tidy - generally proud of their work. They worked hard and were reasonably priced. I would definitely use Serviceteam again.
Arranged to go into work late so I could get a quote - 15 minutes after the agreed time I tried to call the allotted account manager to see where they were and left a voice message. 30 minutes after the agreed time I got a text message saying they wouldn't be coming. I got a call from another account manager to re-book, again I arranged to go into work late (having made very clear that this was the second time I was doing this and therefore expected them to come and be on time). This time I got a text message 5 minutes before they were due to arrive to say they wouldn't be coming. When yet another account manager called me I was told that this was because a new contractor had let them down.
Given I was already left waiting once I would have expected the company to make absolutely sure that a reliable contractor who would turn up was assigned. I also would not expect 3 different account managers. I turned down a third appointment - too much concern regarding the contractors they are using.
I contacted the Service team for a quote for new carpet in my house. They arranged a quote for the next day and sent me a quote that evening. Was especially surprised with the detail of quote as the account manager Harrison had priced everything separately so I knew what I was paying for and he was very helpful with explaining everything so I ended up choosing them. The fitter was very polite and I had it all completed within a week of calling up originally! Very happy, would recommend!
Possibly a company with too much work and too few resources. I had to chase them twice to get someone to come out to do a quote and I live in the Clapham / Oval area. They blamed their computer systems. Gentleman who came to give the quote and who ended up doing the job is very friendly, very efficient and listens carefully to what the customer wants. I was told and the quote confirmed it would take 2 - 3 days. It took just over a week, day - worked for a few hours on the first two days then nothing for 5 days and then came back to complete the work on the 6th day. Again always friendly and a really nice person but I had chased the work up 4 times by phone and text messages. Finished the work on Friday at 9.30pm. On Saturday morning I noticed 4 key bolts from the fence posts hadn't been put in. Could be a great company because the staff are really friendly and know what they are talking about just let down by the quality of the communications with the client. Clients shouldn't be chasing for information and work.
The tradesman was very nice but putting up a curtain pole ended up costing over £300 . A price we simply can't afford ! Apparently , the metal was difficult to cut through but surely it's the tools that were not appropriate .
I live in Dublin but I still have a house in London which I rent out and I have used Serviceteam to provide me with the relevant safety reports, general maintenance and refurbishment of the property for several years. In conjunction with the managing agent I rely on them heavily to keep the property in a condition that allows me to keep it rented. I cannot imagine any other company being able to provide me with this level of service from a remote location.
We had some painting and decorating completed in our office. The work was done at night, so we didn't see anyone and the overall standard was very good. I think that they are a very good painting and decorating company and I would use them again.
Initial booking service ok and company sent confirmation email. I wanted our decking power washed. The quote was £120 for a half days work and the appointment was booked several weeks in advance for between 10 a.m. and 12 a.m. A text was sent to me on the day of the appointment staing it would be 12 before anyone got here. However it was nearly 3 p.m. before anyone arrived.Clearly it's presumed no customers work for a living and can just hang around all day. When the person finally arrived he did do a good job. Final bill £144 as the £120 quote hadn't included VAT.
I used Serviceteam for a landscaping project and I would rate them very highly. I had a very long talk to the landscape gardener and he sent a quote which was good and I accepted it. The job went ahead two weeks later. The gardeners worked very hard every day and the job lasted for a eight days instead of nine which was great because the weather turned on the last day and it rained for a week afterwards.
I was very happy with the work, there were some minor problems with turf arriving late one day and a slight change to the design, but it was all dealt with very well. The end result looks very good and its very easy to see its been finished to a very high standard which is just what I was expected.
All in all, I have no complaints and I would certainly recommend them.
I have used Serviceteam on several occasions - once for an urgent plumbing issue and also for a few odd jobs around the house - and I could not recommend them highly enough. The whole process is easy, transparent and affordable and everyone who dealt with me was professional and courteous. Will only use them from now on as I know i can trust them, their costs and the work they deliver.
I got Serviceteam in to do some odd jobs around the house that I've been meaning to do for ages; putting pictures up, fixing a door handle, changing some difficult bulbs etc and I'm SO glad I did. It was such an easy process, from booking them in, paying the bill and following my account online. I really liked the clear pricing structure - no hidden costs! They were so good I've now booked them in to sort my garden out for the Summer and fix a tap I've been meaning to do. Couldn't recommend them more highly!
At the beginning of this year I brought a house which was in need to restoration. I had been recommended “Serviceteam” by a good friend who had used their services many times before. I have to say that the recommendation was spot on!
From the moment I spoke with the team, every expectation I had was delivered. They simply went out of their way to help with all my requirements. I did not have to worry about anything.
I called Serviceteam to come and tidy my garden ready for the summer. They sent a lovely man called Nigel who did the most fantastic job for me. It's quite a big garden but he only took a day. No problems whatsoever and a brilliant job, I can't recommend them highly enough, so pleased.
I'm always happy to give praise where it's due and now I've been called upon I will leave my honest appraisal. I needed the carpets replacing at home and I had a recommendation from a teacher friend of mine who had just had the carpets replaced at her school. I called them up expecting that my house would be too small for them to give me a quote but I found that wasn't the case and the office person arranged someone to visit me a week later.
He was called John and he was very nice and he measured the carpet and then showed me a lot of samples which were all very good but rnged from cheap to very expensive. I selected a middle of the range one and I had a quote from them a few days later to buy it and fit it. I'd had a few quotes but I liked this one the best, I liked John and I liked the carpet so I paid a deposit, but I can't remember how much that was at this moment.
Anyway, the carpet was fitted the next week and I stayed at my son's house for a few days. When I got back I was very impressed with the carpet and the furniture had even been put back in the right place, apart from a side table, so it was not much trouble.
I paid the balance and I was very happy. However, four weeks later I noticed that the carpet had come away from the floor near the wall on the landing, so I called them up again. It was no problem at all. John came back a couple of days later and put it back down, apologised and said if I had any more problems just call the office because he was always around and about and would pop in anytime.
I thought that was great. If I need some carpet again, they would be my first port of call and I have recommended them to several friends already. I think the service was exceptional.
I had found an email in my inbox from Serviceteam this morning asking for a review of the service I received for an electrical job they did for me 3 months ago. As I've already left a good review for a previous job I thought I'd done my bit. But I got a call too and after looking through a few reviews on here I can see why.
I'm very surprised by some of the comments from people on here. You'll always get a few idiots like the guy with the 1 bed flat but this is not the experience I've had with them at all. I been using Serviceteam for over 2 years for electrics and heating because I have several properties I rent out and I've always had a very good service. The office staff are polite and always professional and they're friendly, if I've ever had a problem they've done their best to sort it out.
I'm a landlord and I've got plenty to moan about but Serviceteam are a good company to do business with.
I called Service Team for my shop because the electrics were tripping intermittently so I had to close the shop. I was panicking because I was losing business but the lady I spoke to was reassuring, calm (which I wasn't!) and told me they would have an engineer out the same day. An engineer arrived within 2 hours which was amazing and he diagnosed the problem quickly and offers me advice. I was so pleased with the service and communication and I would say if you need an electrician call this company.
Serviceteam came to replace a tap mixer in the bath 26th March 2013. A job that should have taken 20 minutes took them 1.25 hours and cost £120 for labor alone as I already bought the bath mixer. I called up to complain and question this with them and spoke with Maner (Admin guy) because it took the fella (Kevin Bale) 15 minutes to find the tap to turn off in my 1 bedroom flat. It was actually under the bath. Furthermore, he left the premises on two occasions to go to his vehicle because he was ill-equipped with his tools it seems. Additionally, he left the bathroom dirty and failed to clean up his mess. Manor said he would look into and speak with the fella and he never returned my call -I was just dismissed because now they have my money. Be wary of this organisation - they may seem nice and polite but they're actual service when it comes to fixing things is incredibly expensive because they are very slow. £120 to replace a bath mixer... UNBELIEVABLE!!! If you ever do use them make sure they are quick, prepared and not stuffing around because time is money and they use this to their advantage in every way!
I recently bought a property in South West London. I did a renovation, it was the first time I have ever done anything like this before. I changed the property from a one bed to a two bed - moved the bathroom, the kitchen and redesigned the garden. I used Serviceteam for the electrics, plumbing (including new boiler), carpets throughout and the garden. I can’t fault them. My friend recommended them to me after she used them for a replacement boiler installation. The whole experience was fantastic. I found the engineers were timely, always arrived within the allocated time slot, they were also flexible and extremely accommodating. On a number of occasions both the electrician and the plumber were due to do some work, but couldn’t because the builders weren’t finished. At short notice the office were able to rejig and get the engineers to come back at a later date! I was trying to keep costs down by project managing it myself, so working with people who were flexible was invaluable. Totally happy with the results, especially all the cool lighting and music I have throughout the flat.
I knew I had made the right choice, but the highlight for me was actually when my boiler dropped in pressure and stopped working, right in the middle of winter. Serviceteam had advised me during the build, to get a valiant boiler and because they fitted it, they said I would get 5 years warranty, which meant if anything at all goes wrong with it, an engineer comes out free of charge every time. 24 hours after I called, the engineer turned up, put some more water in it, emptied a tray and it’s been fine ever since. It’s reassuring to know I have that kind of cover and service! Worth every penny.
After a couple of initial let downs due to lack of communication, I was more than pleased with efficacy and professionalism of the guys, that did the work.
And I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use "Service team " again.
I need to install inspection hatches for the flue for safety.
Your engineer fitted one large one 40 x40cim badly.
The British Gas came to check and failed for a gas safety cirtificate.
Thas was 2 days before my new tenant moved in.
I did not have time to come back to you complain, I had to get someone throught my estate agant Hamptons for reliable gas safe registered engineer to have it done.
This time I got a cettificate. This gas safe registered engineer fitted 4 insspection hatchs and charged me 250.00 only.
You charged me nearly 300.00 including 80.00 +vat for an inspection and 2 hours labour on top for only one hatch.
And your engineer damage my ceiling too.
I would like to have money back and time too.
I did not needed a such big hatch.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
My boiler broke down a few weeks back and had a very good service all the way alon which to be honest I did not epect as I have used other companies and their service was poor. I got a text and an email to say when they would be there, and I found this very professiona and a nice change from usual.
The engineer was good, and friendly so all in all a good service. I would recommend them.
The Serviceteam guy who came was on time and was really nice BUT he couldnt fix my alarm becuase they don't have the Engineer code and without that they can't do anything.
And they must know that cos it must happen ALL the time.
But they still charged me £96 including VAT to come out to tell me that. Neat earner for them - they could have told me that on the phone.
So, not the guy's fault - he's just responding to a job call. But it left me feeling not so impressed by Serviceteam. They may be great for other jobs but if its an alarm fix then I'd say swerver Serviceteam and go with your alarm provider.
The whole installation took much longer than anticipated which led to a lot of frustration. I kept being told it would be finished that day, for the engineer/electrician only to leave stating someone else would come back the next day (a 1 day installation took a week). This meant spending a full week waiting for someone to arrive who was always late.
Basically, in order to keep stress levels low, let the customer know when you are arriving. If your appointment is from 2-4, you should know by 1pm when you are going to be there. Let the customer know, so that they don't sit around waiting and getting frustrated. And if a job is taking longer than it was supposed to, give that customer priority for the next day (make their's the first job of the day - don't make then wait until 16:45 for someone to turn up)
