I live in the states and when booking I stated the incorrect terminal for arrival but it was caught by them and corrected email was sent to me to let me know that a driver would meet me near after I collect my luggage and got out of customs. Driver was pleasant and let us take pics in the parking garage and while he drove. Despite the long trip the driver keep us entertained until we fall asleep.
For pick up the driver was very nice and also talked to us and let us take pics as we drove to the airport. My friend forget her scarf he found us when we were checking in. I would so use them again for traveling when I return to London, they made the long drive to the hotel very pleasant and easy.
Booking online was very easy and fast, the fast quote made it easy to make a decision and my credit card was charged after the pick up which was nice also. There were no hidden fees to the cost quote on the site which was also nice. It makes you want to tip the drivers not for just being pleasant but for working with a great company also.
The driver was very nice; customer service was excellent when some wires got crossed; and we got to the airport in a strange city with plenty of time to spare. Oh, and the price was good, too! I don't know what more one could ask for.
The rate was great and the driver was really nice. His car was in so so shape and was not super clean like the largest minicab company cars, but it wasn't horrible. Unfortunately there were some major snafus in the traffic and he was unable to find another route so I almost missed the check in on my flight. The return trip was much better, different driver, different car and no traffic jams. Despite the issues, I would use the service again. It was almost 50% cheaper than the other minicab services.
we had 3 bookings the first we were 30 minutes late getting through customs at 530 in the morning at heathrow had to pay the driver an extra 7pounds to get out of the carpark the second booking no problem and the third booking had to call from Gatwick airport to see where his shuttle was was looking for a park it ended up being 25 minutes late no refund for inconvenience or at least the 7 pounds back from the first trip
The car was there in advance and the driver took us safely to the airport without any problems. Their customer service was very helpful and understanding when we had to change our reservation. I would recommend Silver Shuttle to anyone and surely think of using their services again.
I was a little wary as I had never used them before, but after a 10-hour flight I didn't want to deal with transportation, especially to a private flat. You tell them the flight you're arriving on, the one you're leaving on, when you want to be picked up and they do the rest. Our flight was 45 minutes early but our driver was there waiting with a sign for us. When it was time to return, the car was downstairs waiting to drive us to the airport. Nice and courteous drivers. One even let me use his cell phone to let the person we were renting the flat from know we were coming! I love that it is a flat rate - you don't need to worry about taxi meters. This service is efficient and totally takes the worry out of airport transportation. I highly recommend.
Despite what they say, they do not monitor flight arrival times. Our driver was not there when the flight came in 40 minutes early and did not get there for another 40 minutes. When he finally arrived, he stood behind a pole despite being told exactly where we were waiting in the terminal, said not a word when we finally found him, was surly [hey, I am from NYC and this guy was surly even by that standard] and then tried to drop the entire family 1/4 mile from the hotel in Southwark because he did not want to detour around construction. On the return trip to Heathrow a week later, the new driver was right on time and could not have been nicer; unfortunately, the van stank and there were ashes on the seats...on the other hand, I just received an email from Silvershuttle, offering apologies as well as compensation in the form of a free transfer when we are next in London. Gratifying to know that the management cares about the reviews and the service...
The was my first time ever using a London-based shuttle service. My first impression of my pick-up to Heathrow was pretty good. The driver was on time, it was nearly 4am, and I felt very safe on the way. For pick-up the following day at Heathrow, I had trouble finding my driver because I didn't exit through Baggage Claim, as I had none. The first thing my driver said to me, although nicely, was "Where have you been? I have been standing here for thirty minutes." I said, "I didn't exit this way and was on the phone with dispatch looking for you. It hasn't been thirty minutes; my flight only landed fifteen minutes ago." To boot, I couldn't even read my name as the blue dry-erase from a previous pick-up was still showing so my name was very difficult to make-out. Regardless, I thought that was very rude to immediately shift blame on me, the client - not very professional. Then, on the way from Heathrow to the City, he stopped for gas!!! Unreal. I am of course happy we didn't run out, but shouldn't he have maybe been a bit prepared? I've lived in London and NYC and never, ever, has a driver of a cab, shuttle, or luxury car service ever done this. You should be prepared when picking someone up - it's your job. First impressions are everything, and looking at this experience as a whole, the ending totally negates the initial experience. A shame, really. I won't be booking with you again.
