I had a mixed experience with this company. Booked with Silver shuttle, arranged pick up point at Boots, Euston Station traveling to Gatwick airport. Upon arrival, driver phoned and said he could not meet me there as he had nowhere to leave the vehicle. He directed me to a completely new location ( unfamiliar city to me) and it took me 20 minutes to find him. I explained that I had been very specific about the pick up point as I was completely unfamiliar with the city, and travelling alone and wanted the peace of mind of knowing that my transfer from the station to the airport would be safe and stress free. He said that "Silver Shuttle" was just a booking agent for lots of different drivers, and that the drivers will sometimes telephone when "Near" the arranged location, to let you know where to then meet him. Not good enough. The last thing you need after arriving in a new city, expecting to meet your driver, is to receive a telephone call from him directing you to a new, unknown location, more than 10 minutes walk from the station. Again, as a lone, female traveler, this was very disconcerting, and not what was arranged at all. Additional point, the driver was constantly on his phone during the journey, making calls, texting etc (Not hands free) Extremely dangerous, and did not heed any of my observations about this.
Return journey (Different driver) was perfect. Due to landing at wrong terminal at Gatwick, driver had arranged to meet at the new terminal, and was there waiting for me, no hassle. Thank you to him.
As a lone female traveler, I like to arrange all of my transfers beforehand with what I assume are legal, licensed and professional companies for my peace of mind and security, but overall I would be reluctant to book with this company again to to the erratic and obvious independence of the drivers from the booking company.
