As many have, i also checked online for other reviews before finally departing with any cash. With such cheap prices it certainly seemed too good to be true, but after seeing positive reviews i decided to go along and it was one of the best decisions i could have made purchasing a heavily discounted product to anywhere else i have seen online. After purchasing i was asked to confirm through a phone call which can seem tedious but i felt this could only help my security. Through this phone call i was also offered a starter kit with my new camera along at a next to nothing discount price including an 8-hr life battery. All in all i'd say all aspects were positive and cheap prices were not subject to bad service and when i ran into any problems i was able to call for help very efficiently.
Their prices are very good but after placing the order you get an email asking you to phone them. After being told 'please wait for less than a moment' I waited for over 20 minutes only be subjected to some hard sell trying to sell extra batteries, memory cards etc. Also told that the free starter kit wasn't much good. This was unnecessary but I was able to get a big discount on these items so haggle if you're in this position. Then my credit card was declined because the company is based in the US. This does show that the credit card companies monitor unusual transactions, so although it prolonged the process, it was a good thing. Once this was sorted the delivery was very quick and could be tracked all the way. Unfortunately the lens cleaning fluid in the starter kit leaked during transport.
Despite all the above the delivery was quick and prices good. Would recommend them.
Probably like many others, before placing my order, I checked the internet to find out more about the company. Having been bitten before by importing from the US, where I got charged VAT unexpectedly, I was keen to ensure that there were no hidden surprises in cost, quality or delivery. After looking carefully into this, I opted to go for it based on the price and expected service, so ordered my EOS 60D with 2 lenses. The service from then on was first class. Yes, I got a little sales pitch for extra batteries and UV filters which, after some negotiation, I bought at very sensible prices. The camera was despatched promptly, arrived within the anticipated timeframe and was well packed. I needn't have had any concerns over SLR Hut's abilty to deliver as promised - and nor should anyone else. I would certainly use them again.
My order was dealt with in a very professional manner and was tracked all the way. I would have no hesitation in dealing with SLRHUT again, well done.
I bought a 55 - 300mm Nikon lens having looked for a good deal for ages. Having read all the reviews I was suprised to see that the best price came from a trusted web provider, beating all other suppliers both reputable and those not so favourable. After ordering I made a confirmation phone call which was answered within a few rings. This reassured me that should things go wrong I had a point of contact. My concerns were unecessary, my order came two days early and in perfect working order. The best and most efficient internet provider I have bought from and I would recommend SLRHUT to anyone.
A friend told me about SLR Hut when I asked his opinion on buying a new camera. On his advice I visited SLR Hut and found my dream camera for a fraction of the cost on Amazon. The camera arrived very quickly and I was called by a very friendly person to check everything was OK. I have since been recommending SLR Hut to any friend who asks.

I bought a really whizzy new camera for my husband from SLR-hut and I would really recommend them. The price was good, which is what first attracted me to them, but the service and communication was really fantastic once I made the order; and he loves the camera!
I tried to purchase a Canon 1DX through SLRhut. the price was good, and lathough I had reservations about this company being based in the US, the reviews were generally good. I pleaced an order without incident on the web site and thought no more of it. I should add that the camera retails at around 4000, so this isn't a trivial order. the next day I received a call from a salesman who tried desperately to sell me additional batteries at a price far in excess of those that I could source locally, an extende3d warranty, which I repeated many times that I didn't want, and finally tried to insist that I make the purchase through wire transfer rather than paying by credit card. Apparrently the company will not accept payments over a particular sum by credit card. The sum varies, depending on who you talk to. Because of the lack of payment protection this would have brought, I said no - it took many repetitions before he understood that this wasn't going to happen; however at this point, he agreed that the credit card would be fine. I received four (four!) invoices and awaited delivery of the new camera. Ten days later, nothing had arrived, and my credit card had not been charged. I rang SLRHut again to follow up and indeed, they were still waiting for the wire transfer. The transfer that we had already agreed wasn't going to take place. They suggested paypal, but this would take a large sum out of my bank in one hit; not an acceptable solution. By this time I was fed up with the lack of communication, unhelpful customer services and bullying tactics that the staff used to try to sell extra goods and services, and to force customers to do thinkgs that are entirely for the benefit of the company. I should add that there is nothing on the web site that mentions any payment method restrictions, and the purchase, apparently on my credit card, went through without there being any indication that this would be a problem. The result - very dissapointed indeed and I would advise anyone expecting a level of service commensurate withthe value of the goodes that they are purchasing to steer well clear of these people, and go elsewhere. This is a competitive market, and there are other suppliers who can and will price match if that is your limiting factor.

I reluctantly purchased a DSLR from SLRHut as although the price was very reasonable I was concerned about ordering from overseas, but there was no need to worry! After I bought my item I had to ring the number provided at checkout and verify everything and yes they did try to sell me something else but even though I said no they kindly upgraded my memory card from a 2GB to 4GB for free. Shortly after I received a phone call saying my card had been declined and after ringing my bank to allow the transaction everything was quickly resolved. Once dispatched I could track my order via DHL and my order was with me within 3 days. I was pleasantly surprised with SLRHut and I feel pretty silly for feeling so apprehensive, would highly recommend to anyone :)

As i see a lot of other reviews and people saying: These products are from the US; don't buy them!! Well i did and all i can say is: "You're the idiots for paying £200.00 more for the same camera (Canon 650D) i got mine from here and haven't got a complaint.
Firstly I would like to start off by saying, I am a real customer and I do not work for the company and this feedback is 100% genuine.
I purchased a Canon 650D DSLR camera and at first I was a sceptic as the price is very competitive and I always proceed with caution where internet transactions take place. After reading some of the reviews I was almost turned off, then I realised that the reviews had mainly been written by people who were considering buying from SLRHut but were turned off and complaining as the goods actually come from the US and not UK and they didn't actually have anything substantial that I could ascertain, to complain about. I wasn’t worried as to where the camera came from as long as I was getting what I ordered and I wasn't going to get caught paying for any extra tax when it was sent to me, so I thought I would give them a go.
I first called the customer services team and spoke to someone who could guarantee me there was no extra tax to be paid. I then put through my order online and at the end a msg came through and asked me to give the customer services team a call to confirm the details of my order. I called and spoke to a consultant who offered me advice about purchasing a memory card that was going to be the best option to make use of the functions for my new camera and also a longer life battery for if I was going to use the video function. These were offered to me at reasonable prices, however to both of these I politely thanked the consultant and said I would like to do my own research on these before I commit to buying anything. The consultant was fine with this and confirmed my order and advised me it should be with me within 7 -10 days.
The delivery was excellent, I ordered this on March 8th and received it on the 15th, this was delivered by DHL which was also great as they contacted me each step of the way to say when it was being shipped and when I should expect to receive this. I am extremely happy with my camera and the customer service I received and would gladly do business with them again. To all the people leaving nonsense feedback, you’re the ones who have lost out I'm afraid!
I ordered from SLRhut with some trepidation since although their prices are about the best around, they had some stinking write ups on the review sites.
I was very pleased with the service I received, and my Canon SX50 reached me in about a week from New York. Everything was as expected, including the "freebies" which were welcome, especially so, given the keen price that the camera was being offered at.
My only very minor criticism (which didn't worry me, but might some people) is that the charger has a fold-out US type two prong plug. (This fits shaver points, so could be a potential benefit when travelling.)
I was recommended to look at SLRHut by a friend who had a positive experience and I wasn't disappointed. I was looking for a new Nikon and found exactly what I was looking for straight away at a competitive price. Called up, got some useful advice and recommendations. Amazed at how quickly the order came from America. Very helpful and their staff have a great depth of knowledge. Originally had bought 5D but due to supply issues it was no longer available but I spoke to them and they recommended a 7D and I am very happy with it.
I ordered a 60D 18-13mm canon camera kit on monday 11th March, and I received it today on 15th March.
They have been very prompt with the delivery and I am very satisfied with my purchase because slr hut offered the lowest price for this product.
Very happy to recommend SLRHUT, the service from all the guys (by phone, or email) was spot on. Their website deal seemed almost too good to be true, so I phoned, and John Patrick took my call. While I can appreciate that there's a certain level of anxiety when dealing with online retailers(especially when based abroad) in all fairness to the guys at SlrHut, I feel they deserve a positive review in light of my experience. I found their customer service to be swift, no-nonsense and perfectly friendly; with my issue being resolved within one 15 minute phone call, followed by an almost instantaneous email confirming said resolution.
When i placed my order i received confirmation straight away. I received a follow-up e-mail to say that they had run out of white ones and offered a black headset but I said i would rather wait for them to come back into stock. That said i still received them before the 10 days deleivery promise
I read some iffy reviews after I ordered but I shouldn't have worried. Ok...so you have to phone up to confirm your order and they will try and tag-on some extras but why not? It's a business after-all and they can't be making a massive margin on the prices they are selling stuff at. Just see it as having to watch the adverts on a free phone app ;)
Anyway, order was shipped and received within a 4 days of the order and I could track it all the way. Free gift was better than expected (thought it would be going straight in the bin tbh!)

Compared 2 camera's and was going for the cheaper one by £200 but saw this better spec. Panasonic DMC-FZ200 which made the difference of only £100 so went for it.
After missing a call from Slrhut after placing the order, made many phone calls back to speak to someone. They must be on US time so did not get through. Thought that I would never see the deal. When finally got through and spoke to adviser adding useful deals but nudging the the total price felt a bit more re-assured. When the package arrived a couple of days later, was over the moon. Great service in the end. And a great price to boot.

I have recently bought my first DSLR; a Nikon D5100. I did so much research before buying, which included where to buy it from. When searching reviews of the SLR Hut, a number of sites came up with people suggesting this company is a scam, 'if the price seems too good to be true, then it probably is'. I was therefore a little dubious when placing my order with them (the price was VERY good, hence I decided to 'risk it'!).
However, I was nothing but impressed. The camera was a much better price than seen elsewhere. The quoted price on the website included all taxes and there were no hidden extras. The company are based in America, and follow up online orders with a phone call prior to dispatching the item. I think the purpose of the phone call is an opportunity for them to try and sell you more things, but they were very polite and in no way pushy when I didn't want any additional items. My camera arrived within 3 days despite using their cheapest delivery option. My only slight criticism would be that getting through to them on the phone took a while. Overall, I was very happy with the product and service I received.
Far and away the best prices available that I could find on Nikon d5100. The goods were promptly delivered and the purchase tracking worked well. There is an excellent range of stock available and the site is easy to navigate. Communications generally excellent and the staff do seem to want to help you have good customer experience. I've only 2 slight quibbles which prevents 5 stars being awarded. First the camera user disc was for USA/Americas/Pacific, not Europe, although this does not seem to have an obvious detrimental impact on use; second the phone lines don't seem to open at the advertised time meaning that they were switched off until well after 2pm on the days that I tried to contact, although getting through after 3pm was relatively easy and the staff were helpful. I have no reservations in recommending SLRHut.
The best deal online i could find. The ordering was easy, and the call back with the offers was great. Jack was a great person to talk to about the order.
And the speed of the Delivery was amazzing was staggered how soon it came.

You always doubt that an order placed on internet companies will deliver what they say on the advert BUT in this case SLRHUT not only delivered what they advertised but delivered it 4 days earlier than expected. They had the cheapest price and where other companies had lower prices they did not provide a lens. Not only was the SLRHUT a complete package they also threw in little buts that make the deal that bit better. This has been one of my best experiences of ordering online.
We are very happy with the purchase and with the service of SLRHUT. The staff specially Jack at the London office helped us a lot in our ordering and payment through PAYPAL. He has a good knowledge about the products and the most the customer service is just EXCELLENT!. I would definitely recommend SLRHUT to others and looking forward to order others equipment from them in near future.
The only negative side of the site is, you can not order items through PAYPAL directly from the site and you have to call them for the arrangement. Therefore, we are giving them 4 stars.
Update from previous review. There was a bit of friction between me and company now it has been solved. I guess i was a bit mean towards slrHut company as there were few frictions on item delivered and i lost my temper. Now i am cool down and thinking with a cool mind. Its human nature to make mistake anyway. The price on Canon 5D mark III was unbeatable. The lowest so far i have seen service was fast. Item came to my door with in weekend of shipping really pleased with that speed and the courier service used. Camera came on a big box( lens and camera body box) but i don't mind. Thanks for service. lovely 4 star as those problem could have been solved a bit quicker. any way i would recommend to my friends. :)
I will admit that when researching SLRHut I was sceptical about the reviews here. It did seem "too good to be true", yet in all honesty I will not hesitate in using them again, and highly recommend them.
Yes, there was an attempt at a pushy (not that pushy to be honest) "additional sales" call, but - as a business woman - I remained resolute. I knew what I wanted, and what I needed, and I was sticking with that.
An items with a delivery of 7-14 days turned up 3 workings days later. Tracking was excellent. I knew where my item was every step of the way.
Only 1 beware: They state that you should check the item(s) before signing for them. The delivery companies will not allow this. You could end up in a catch 22 if the item is damaged en route, but given the excellent packaging I doubt this would happen.
