Outstanding service 10/10 Highly recommended.

We ordered the Kilcreene Reclining suite 3+2+1 at 8:25pm on 07/01/2014, the delivery arrived midday on 09/01/2014.
I signed packaging damaged as advised In their T&Cs as two of the three boxes had got wet at some point and the three seater box was squashed on one end.

Upon opening the three seater we saw a small scuff on one corner, opening the chair found it to be the wrong colour (brown) when black was ordered & stamped on the box too.

I contacted The Sofa Company straight away and was immediately asked to email pictures of the damage which I did, I was called back later and was offered a cash incentive to keep the scuffed settee which was taken by us as the scuff was quiet small.

The brown chair was collected by the courier when they delivered the correct black chair on the 13/01/2014.

the colour mix up was just one of those things due to being put in the wrong box in china,.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company especially after being left without seating over the new year by SOFAWORKS after they managed to lose our 3 seater settee then wanted to make us wait 12 weeks for a replacement.

Don't be caught out by T&Cs Problems Solved !

I found loose stitching on a seatback when I unpacked the sofas. When I contacted The Sofa Company they said they would do nothing as the damage had not been reported within two days of receipt. Reading the T&C's this only appears to refer to transit damage which wasn't the case here. As mentioned by another reviewer their courier will only deliver to kerbside so this meant that my wife and I had to struggle to get the furniture inside. We scuffed one bottom corner so I am not pursuing their response further and seeking a swap. I just want to make sure other potential customers don't have the same problem.
Since posting my original review I have been contacted by the Customer Care Manager at Sofa Company who arranged for a contractor to visit and repair the missing stitching and also the scuff on the base. Very happy with result and action taken.

TOP CLASS SERVICE - Customer Service Second to none.

I got the 3 seater & 2 seater Belmont suite fantastic value for money nice soft bonded leather it looks great in my sitting room. The experience I have had from initial purchase emails to explain the process followed by a phone call to explain further and to ask if I had any questions. The delivery team called and set a date (quick free delivery). Unfortunately my sofa was damaged in transit a brief call to the company, I spoke to Casey followed by an email I was asked to send with a picture of the damage, which they followed with a phone call which I missed called back and spoke to Amy the problem was resolved. I love a company where you can talk to real people. Unlike the review below THE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM are friendly and helpful and do sort out any mishaps .It was all resolved in a few hours. Casey & Amy are very helpful and really listen to your concerns. I would highly recommend them. once again thanx from Brenda Docherty

Excellent Customer Services. Good-quality sofa too.

I scoured the Internet for two days, hoping to find a low budget good-quality bonded leather corner sofa for the kids' relaxing room. Luckily, i came across The Sofa Company as the only one with the most reasonable prices. The information obtained from the website showed the company was very conversant with its products and would not fool customers unlike some other company that were unspecific about the kind of leather on display.

Surprisingly, the sofa quality outweighed the overall price and considering the fact that i was entitled to a free delivery all the way from Devon to London, it was amazing to realise my item was delivered within 24 shour.

The kids can not wait to relax on the sofa on their return from playgrounds. According to them, 'the material feels soft, comfy and looks classic'. I can conclude that the sofa is absolutely fantastic and I will recommend the website to anyone.

ONLY DRAWBACK WAS DELIVERY

, Ordered suite on the saturday by phone , received e-mail on monday to say it had been despatched , had a phone call on tuesday to see if i could take delivery on wednesday , wow i thought this is good :) then i received a phone call on wednesday to see if i could take delivery on thursday, hang on i said had a phone call yesterday to deliver today, not us he said we have only just received it in the depot ? so arranged delivery for thursday , Wednesday lunch time big delivery lorry turns up , yes he has a delivery and it was the settee, but no chairs :( quick phone call to the company who advise me all is well and the chairs would come the next day they had been sent from a different warehouse , spent a night of worrying about whether all would match , the chairs turned up the next day all was well it all matched and is a very nice suite , the only drawback i can see is the delivery part of the service i spent 2/3 days worrying about where it was and would i get it and also getting it into the house with kerbside delivery managed it in the end , and am very pleased with my suite .

I emailed to check stock on monday 16th was dealt with by a really helpfull team I ordered monday eve and as promised received the confirmation e mail

the sofa was as promised delivered on Thursday 19th on unpacking were really impressed with the quality of the sofas

Surprisingly good

I was dubious about ordering from this company for 3 reasons:
A). The showroom is too far away for me to view the product and the price is so cheap I assumed that the quality would be low.
B). Their website gives lots of information re what to do if your sofa arrives damaged, which led me to believe that this is a regular occurrence.
C). Kerbside delivery only. How would I get them into the house and unpack them alone.

I needn't have worried. The Burlington corner sofa arrived next day (extra £20 but worth it). Very helpful delivery man helped me carry them into the house and had a cuppa whilst I unpacked and inspected (it may have helped that I put on lippy and a low cut top and made it clear that the kettle had just boiled!).

Sofa is perfect fit for the corner bay window space and is the only one I could find anywhere with these dimensions. I had a quote of £3900 for a bespoke sofa to fit this space...
The red colour is thankfully slightly darker and classier than as shown on the pic on website but is an exact match for the swatch they had sent me.
Quality is better than I had expected and very similar to IKEA.

Overall I'm very happy and would not hesitate too recommend them.

You get what you pay for, and a little more.

I live in Newton Abbot and went to visit the Sofa Company, they didn't have the item in there showroom I was after but had something similar which i was able to sit on. I was impressed with the overall quality but you could tell these were budget sofas.

I was advised by there staff that the delivery was only to the kerbside, which wasn't an issue for me, make sure you read the terms and conditions. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful so I was not to worried.

I ordered the Items on-line and within 5 days the sofas were delivered to the kerbside, make no make mistakes this was to the kerbside but as this was explained to me I couldn't grumble.

Once we got the sofas inside my property and unpacked them I must say I was very impressed, having not seen these items the quality was much higher than that in there showroom.

Would definitely recommend if you can live with kerbside delivery, the sofas are worth more than the price you pay.

kerbside delivery from sofa-company.co.uk website

I bought a lovely brown leather sofabed from this company sofa-company.co.uk for only one reason - that they managed to deliver the sofabed within 2 days of my phone call. I came across their website and they said they could deliver the next day. So I gave them a call and they said they would deliver in a week. When I pointed their next day delivery promise on the website, they agreed to deliver in the next 72 hours with a surcharge of £20.

They advised me to have someone with me when they deliver the sofa. When I said why, they said they might not be able to carry the sofa into the home. This was the first I heard on the grounds of health and safety.

When they delivered the sofabed as promised, the courier men refused to bring the sofabed into the home even when we asked them politely. They just left the sofabed in cardboard box on the kerbside and left. I could not believe it. It was raining and I could not carry the sofa inside. I had to call someone to come and help us carry the sofabed inside.

This was a big disappointment.

Otherwise the sofabed is lovely and elegant.
