I think I have morphed into Nick Gibson.....my experience is exactly the same as his review. What a shameful shambles Stubhub 'service' has proved to be. The buyer is totally protected and the seller is utterly disregarded. I'm too angry to write down my experience as it makes my blood boil. I don't ever expect to see my money back from a rained off day at the oval because I didn't get tickets back in time to return them. They refuse to accept liability despite promising me that the buyer must return tickets within 2 weeks to get a refund......they took over 3 weeks. Agghhhh. Why should I be liable for the rained off event if I sold the tickets anyhow. What a joke. Reviewing my options to see if I can take them to the small claims court. I have never been so outraged at an injustice. Clowns!!!
Reading the reviews it seems better for buyers than sellers..especially as you don't get paid until after the event..which could be 6 months away...so they keep your money for six months, seems ridiculous. Bring back ebay..we have more control.
I sold 2 tickets for Day 4 of the Ashes this year through this site. Due to weather forecast I phoned 2 days before to see what would happen if play was washed out. I was told 'no problem your sale is protected'. I asked for clarification and was told that if washed out my sale would be completed anyway and Stub Hub absord the losses. I checked 3 times as I thought this was generous from an Ebay company but had to take what was said. He told me my money for the sale would be in my account between 5 and 8 days after event finished. LIE 1
So 9 business days later I phone and ask where my money is. No surprise I am told that I was misinformed and the buyer has 2 weeks to send the tickets back. If not I would be paid. LIE 2
I phoned 2 days after the 2 week deadline. Buyer hadn't sent tickets so customer service promised me faithfully that they would issue an immediate payment. LIE 3
2 days later I get my first email from StubHub in over 3 weeks saying my sale had been cancelled. I phone 'customer service'. After 35 minutes they say 'terribly sorry but we will post the tickets to you registered post as they have been sent back to us'. It is now down to me to send them back to the Oval to get a refund before the 28 day period is up. Is this LIE 4?
I have not had a single conversation with StubHub where they have not LIED to me. Not once have they done what they said they would do AND I still have no tickets and no refund.
As with most companies they are interested in one thing and one thing only. Their PROFITS!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

As a buyer - Seller sent tickets no problem but as they came royal mail and the Stubhub system could not cope we got continual text messages from UPS (actually sent from Stubhub system) first saying that the tickets were due for delivery (days after they had arrived) then texts saying that we had not sent them! SENT! Why would we send when we were buying? Idiotic and took hours of calls and emails to resolve. Stubhub assured us that they had not broken data protection and passed our details to UPS without consent. UPS said otherwise!
Forever getting emails stating that account details have been changed (when they have not) which clearly implies security issues. Get no response from the contact form. Email address provided on email to address such issues bounces. Telephone number states UK times but directs to the states and says open during Pacific time only!!!!!
As a seller - Lots of info about delivery via UPS but for some bizarre reason only gave option to send electronic tickets. Customer services not contactable as usual. Very random very hit and miss. Avoid and keep your data safe.
As per other reviews, no option to list tickets and meet buyer at venue. Also it is Monday, the event is Friday but it says I can't list either due to an event restriction or as the event is so soon. Totally rubbish to navigate round and is ebay trying to get in on the ticket selling market.
Will just use gumtree !!!!!!!!
I was absolutely appalled at what eBay has now chosen for an alternative website for selling tickets.
I needed to sell some tickets that I had for a gig. I set about trying to sell them on eBay. When I clicked on 'list' eBay told me I had to sell tickets on "Stubhub" instead.
Although it gave me a link to click on, when " Stubhub" loaded, and asked me to sign in, it did not accept my eBay sign in details.
You have to create a brand new account on "Stubhub".
All the effort I'd put in to listing my tickets on eBay was lost, and I had to start again.
When I finally got to listing my tickets on "Stubhub" It asked me did I want to email the buyer the tickets, or send them by U.P.S. There was no option to meet the buyer at the gig to give them my tickets. (I was going to the gig myself so this would've been ideal)
I could not email the tickets as I would've had to have scanned them, and they would've been rejected at the gates as copies.
I have no idea what they meant by U.P.S delivery so I was stuck.
It asked me to enter a price I wanted per ticket. I wanted £180 for both, so put in £90 per ticket. It then showed me what the buyer would pay-£103.50 per ticket!
If you press "see your payout" it shows you how much you would get through this rip-off site- the price for 2 tickets (£180) minus THEIR commission (£21.60) so I would end up with £158.40 after everything.
I would not recommend it to anyone, as it stressed me out unbearably that they not only make it very hard to resell your tickets, but they rip customers off in the process-just like other ticket sites do! I do not believe in ripping people off!
The worst experience i've ever had in my life! they sold my tickets (priced £145x2) instead of some guy's tickets (priced £170x2) and start pressing me for the commitments of that guy. customer support doesn't answer phone calls. buyer payed £340 i've got £255, stubhub got 12 % commissions plus difference £25 per ticket! AVOID!!!
Was desperately trying to find two tickets to a gig that had sold out and the cheapest I could find them was £108 (inc fees) and I was feeling ripped off because the tickets themselves were originally £26. I looked everywhere and checked Ebay as a last resort, I found someone selling two for £135 (inc fees) which was more than ticketmaster, seatwave etc!
Ebay had an ad Subhub and I got them for £85.11 (inc fees)!
The site is very reasonable with fees too! It was only £11.11!
whereas seatwave was £9.99 P&P and £15 in fees
I couldn't be happier. The site was easy to use and you can't beat the price! Would definitely recommend to a friend. I haven't used Subhub before but certainly will in the future.
Now to wait for them to come :-)
I listed two tickets on Ebay and was then sent a rude email threatening me as I was in breach of their policies and procedures. Why allow a listing if it breaches their rules???
Directed to Stub hub but refuse to use them on principal due to the above removal from EBAY and their higher charges. Stub hub make a huge 27% out of each sale (buyer and seller commissions)

I had an unwanted ticket that I first tried to list on eBay but found that they'd blocked this and directed me to Stub Hub. It seemed a reasonable proposition until I tried using it. It suggested I could list the ticket with an asking price that I could reduce over time if the ticket remained unsold, but when I tried to do so it would only allow me a two day window for my listing at a fixed price, after which time it was simply deactivated with no further communication - useless. As a seller, you have little visibility or control of what is going on with your transaction, the fees they charge seem extortionate (to sellers and buyers) and why pray tell do they try to force you to use UPS in the UK - what's wrong with the Royal Mail?
Check out some independent reviews of the US site, where presumably it's been up and running longer - they are not impressed either.
Bad move eBay, Stub Hub clearly doesn't have it's act together and this won't do much for your brand image. I won't be bothering with it again.

Wanted to sell some tickets for an event on eBay. Was told that this is all done on StubHub! now, but frankly it's such a vague, unclear process I didn't bother in the end. What was wrong with putting a ticket on eBay, and sending it to the buyer? Pointless, extra complication, just rubbish really. Won't bother trying to use it again.
Looking for tickets on the web for Charlotte Bobcats v Miami Heat I almost gave up due the high cost through Ticketmaster and co, then I read about Stubhub in a book and thought I would give them a try. Excellent seats found at less than face value, commission no where near what Ticketmaster charge and downloaded instantly.
Game was put back one hour due to ESPN covering it, Stubhub emailed me to keep me up to date with all the changes excellent service.
I LOVE THE STUB HUB BECAUSE NOW I CAN HAVE MY JANOSKIAN TICKETS WHICH SOLD OUT IN LIKE 5 MINUETS. I LOVE STUB HUB BECAUSE NOW I CAN SEE MY BABIES I RECOMMEND STUB HUB TO EVERYONE DON'T LISTEN TO THESE HATERS. STUB HUB IS THE BEST. :D XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I have used StubHub in the US before and was pleasantly surprised to find out they operate in the UK as well. I was recently in England and decided to grab some tickets to an Everton football match. I was not disappointed. I was able to print off my tickets the day of the match and got into the game with no problems. I love StubHub!
Amazing website with a very simple and easy to use interface. Really enjoy the maps and the ease of searching for tickets using them. Bought some great seats to the One Direction show for my kids! Will definitely use them again in the future.
I had heard of stubhub from my travels to america but did not know they had opened up a shop in the uk. Turns out, they are in london and offering the same services that they offer in america. I was looking for tickets to coldplay and came across them on google. I booked my tickets, they arrived quickly, and the show was amazing. My seats were about 15 rows back from the stage. I will use them again.
