THESE CROOKS HAVE NEARLY £70 OF MY MONEY AND IVE NOTHING TO SHOW FOR ITNEARLY 3 WEEKS DOWN THE LINE, NO COMMUNICATION AND THERE IS A DISPUTE OPEN ON PAYPAL (WHICH THEY ARE IGNORING)....PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY ARE NO LONGER A REGISTERED USER ON EBAY, I AM GOING TO REPORT THESE TO THEIR LOCAL FRAUD SQUAD. TAKE THIS AS A WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!
For all those poor people who have lost money, as we are local to Tacklepets my husband went to pick up some more peanuts for me last month - and they have gone! The unit is empty, cleaned out, and I must say when we went in the autumn it was not very busy and not much stock. This doesn't help you I know but at least you know they are no longer there.
Another tale of woe & isn't hindsight wonderful. After waiting & waitng for order placed at end of December 2011, started to look into the Company & guess what, I've been had! DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH THESE PEOPLE, MONEY TAKEN STRAIGHT AWAY & NO GOODS EVER RECEIVED. THEY DO NOT ANSWER E-MAILS & PHONE NUMBER LISTED ON WEB SITE IS, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, NO LONGER IN SERVICE. Lets hope the bank can sort it out.
I placed an order for 2 bags dog food, value approx £70 and received an e mail stating this was in process and after that nothing. I sent 5 e mails but got no reply. I phoned 4 or 5 times at the times indicated on his web site and still no reply. I have reported them to the trading standards office and raised a claim on my visa. I should really report them to the police for fraud.
Please do not put yourself through the pain. Just DO NOT BUY FROM HIM. Assuming they are still in business.
I'm the same as the reviewer below. Placed an order at the beginning of Jan, had an e-mail saying it was being processed. Order didn't show so chased up with phone calls and e-mails with no luck. That's £80 of my money gone! So angry!!!!
Broken item, agreed a partial refund with Simon Andrew the director of Taclepets as I thought I was being decent about it, he didn't refund. tried to take my complaint through ebay and paypal and even the haulier who damaged the item. Simon Andrew has managed to file a fraudulent claim with the hauliers so I can not claim for the item through them, and ebay/paypal are being very disappointing over it as I haven't returned the item at my own cost for the reason that the seller wouldn't refund anyway given the below information and therefore I'd be out of pocket- have said to ebay I would send it back if they could guarantee e they would refund me if the seller didn't. Waht a crook. Hope he isn't still trading- lots of addresses and companies under his name on the internet but no replies from any numbers.
I had to rate them 1 star to get this review activated but even that is too much. I ordered my bag of 25kg Peanuts on 16.12.2011 and have not received the order, a refund or even a reply to my calls, letters and emails. I am afraid that this company id dishonest and run by a bunch of crooks. Stay clear. Now a Police matter
It should be possible to put a negative rating, because that is what this outfit deserves! Why oh why oh why didn't I check these reviews before purchasing from tacklepets? Like many others I placed an order (for 25kg of nuts) just after Xmas, and of course nothing has been delivered although the payment (£39.99) was taken immediately. No response to emails, nobody answers the phone. My bank is now working to get my money back. Do not buy from this company - they ought to be closed down, but then again, if this is how they want to do business, I expect they won't be in business for much longer.
Another person that really regrets not reading reviews. Placed order, money taken - tried to check website and no longer there - which worried me - so sent emails and tried to ring and yes you guessed - no reply!!! Taken out dispute with credit card so hopefully wont end up paying - but worse is we will run out of dog food soon!!!!
Ordered 25 kg of peanuts in early January. After nearly two weeks I contacted them by email and phone (no one picked up) to enquire when my order would arrive. I have not heard anything at all and wish I had read the reviews before ordering there. With Brinvale or Titmuss the order would have been delivered within 2 days. We have relations in Cannock, perhaps they can help, otherwise I will report them to the police, Trading Standards, Watchdog and Rip-off Britain. This company should not be allowed to trade.
Unfortunately you cannot rate this company at 0 stars, otherwise I would. By the looks of things they are total con artists and thieves. You make an order, they take your money straight away. Then there email says if you have any problems to email them or ring them. I sent countless emails to no avail, phoned countless times phone ringing for 5 minutes no answer. I have still not even received my item and the last email I got said the order was processing from 2 weeks ago when delivery should have been within 5-7 days. Must be a fake company, who just take your money so please do not waste your money and time people. When there is a not even a contact phone number for the company on the website, that just about sums it up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! YOU WILL ONLY GET RIPPED OFF AND BE OUT OF POCKET
I ordered 25kg of peanuts on November 30th and heard nothing until I contacted them by phone, when I was told the delay was caused by their couriers not being able to deliver quickly enough due to the demand. I was also told that I was at the top of the list and my goods should be dispatched the next day. I was assured that I would get them by the end of the week, that was December 19th. I heard nothing more until I requested a refund, when I was informed by email that my order had been sent, but I did not get a tracking number. I again requested either a refund or a tracking number and immediate delivery. I got a parcel force tracking number and the peanuts eventually arrived on December 22nd. I was so pleased that I had finally received my order that I decided to shrug off the really poor service and put it down to experience, that was until we opened the bag the next day. The quality of the nuts is appalling, they are clearly very old, dried out and shrivelled, many of them are black. I am disgusted and will never use this company again but it was an expensive lesson to learn.
By comparison I ordered sunflower seeds from the excellent Brinvale on the same day and they arrived the very next day.
Ordered two 15kg bags of dog food; It took slightly more than a month before I got the delivery (after a stern email). Their website says you can contact them via email and telephone, but then they dont give you the telephone number. Also, they dont answer the email. After I put the order in, they took the money straightaway and sent a email to say they were processing the order. I had no delivery or email with explanation, for 2-3weeks. I got worried and then started to look for reviews on google. It was then that I noticed they had an Ebay store and to which i finally got a reply (their ebay store has a few similar complaints) via the ebay email system to say they were going to look into my order. It took 2-3 weeks later before i got my order (I had nearly given up and was going to report them to the authorities). If you are thinking of using them; CHECK THE EBAY STORE REVIEWS AND DECIDE WHETHER YOU THINK IT IS WORTH THE RISK. IF IT WASNT FOR THE EBAY STORE I THINK I WOULD HAVE REPORTED THEM TO THE POLICE. THIS IS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This company has not delivered my goods despite having debited my account almost three weeks ago. As others have said they NEVER answer e.mails or respond in any way to their clients queries. On Thursday the 24th of November, out of the blue and despite the fact I had cancelled the order a fortnight ago, they upgraded the status of my order to DELIVERY and stated the package would be delivered by DPD the next day. Guess what!! The delivery did not take place and DPD informed me that they were awaiting receipt of parcel from Tacklepets!! I have now contacted the Fair Trading office and they have agreed to investigate the company. So, If anyone from Tacklepets is reading this, I suggest you deliver my goods very quickly or refund my cash. I will keep at this like a dog at a bone, Geoff Geoff
I ordered and paid for goods. But they did not turn up. 2 weeks later I emailed tacklepets and they replied saying the goods were despatched. Another week later they still had not arrived, so I emailed again. This time no reply. Another week later, still no goods, so I phoned. No one answered the phone. So then I opened a dispute in the Paypal Resolution centre and was refunded immediately, so I have only wasted time. If you have paid with Paypal, PLEASE REMEMBER TO USE THE PAYPAL RESOLUTION CENTRE.
