Shockingly-bad company. Ordered a dash-cam. When it came it didn't work. Contacted Tech365 (it's always 'Ben' that picks up the phone no matter which extension you choose!) and they said to send it back to their supplier for repair, but at my expense! I told them that this wasn't acceptable and that I would return it to their supplier, but asked for my money back - and reimbursement for sending the product back. They reluctantly agreed. However, on sending it back they didn't contact me. I emailed (no reply) and phoned, but each time they give a pathetic excuse - even that their supplier never got it back! Yet I had proof of delivery through Royal Mail - and even a picture of 'Sue's' signature! They said they would "definitely" phone me by 5.00 with a resolution. Of course, they didn't. I have now raised a Paypal dispute and reported them to the Office of Fair Trading, and also Trading Standards. Haven't got my money back yet, but they'll end up paying my court fees too. UPDATE: 6/2/14 see 'Comment' No, that's not true. My wife took a picture of the receipt on her Ipad for sending back the item and we emailed it to you. But you NEVER reimbursed us for the amount. There's only so much we can do to get £3.70 back without it taking up our life. We emailed Ben Mortlock on November 13th at 11.31 a.m with the picture - we still have proof. So please don't go on to TrustPilot making things up that aren't true. You made out the supplier hadn't received it back, then when shown proof, you reluctantly agreed. 'Ben' said he would phone by 5.00 but didn't, and despite sending you proof of the cost of sending the item back you NEVER paid up. Perhaps, Mr Adams, you best do your research next time before stating things that simply are not true.
I ordered a cctv monitor. They wanted to send me there in-house item. I told them I wanted the item I ordered. The In-house item arrived with the tamper seals broken and missing accessories. I called numerous times but no returned phone calls etc. I eventually got an email explaining that I may have hot the demo item by mistake. After more phone calls emails I was told that I must have caused the damage to the item received and a full refund was unlikely as they had the demo item at there warehouse, so I must be lying about the item I received. I went to my card company to chase the refund on my behalf.
I think if you ordered a video player, they would send you a cd player, as they probably look the same and then wonder what your problem was.
UPDATE: I have just read the response to my review from Tech365. Just to confirm my credit card company chased the refund on my behalf. My order with Tech 365 was cancelled. I ordered what I originally required with a proper and honest company. I guess the truth hurts. The Tech 365 response is a lie do not trust this outfit. Also if Tech 365 or Ben feel that my comments are in anyway slanderous or incorrect I would be more than happy for them to persure myself to seek redress for the facts.
TECH365 SOLD ME A SECOND-HAND DVR WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE NEW. THEY DELIVERED ME WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A NEW DVR WHICH I PAID OVER £700 FOR; WHEN IT ARRIVED I INSPECTED IT THOROUGHLY AND FOUND TI TO BE USED WHICH WAS EVIDENT FROM ALL THE SCRATCHES. THEY TRIED TO BLAME ANOTHER COMPANY FOR DAMAGING IT WHEN THEY OPENED IT UP TO INSTALL THE HARD DRIVE, THEY THEN SUGGESTED I HAD SCRATCHED IT BY RECEIVING IT! I TOLD THEM I WANTED TO RETURN IT AS IT WAS CLEARLY SECOND-HAND, THEY REFUSED TO COLLECT IT SO I WAS FORCED TO PAY FOR THE RETURN AND THEY AL firstname.lastname@example.orgSO SUGGESTED I WOULD BE REFUNDED MINUS 25% RESTOCKING FEE!! I INFORMED THEM THAT THIS WAS NOT ONLY ILLEGAL BUT TONALLY UNPROFESSIONAL OF THEM TO BEHAVE LIKE THIS AND I PROVIDED THEM WITH A COPY OF THE DISTANCE SELLING REGULATIONS OUTLINING THE SECTION IN RELATION TO TRYING TO DEDUCT MONEY ILLEGALLY. I THEN RETURNED THE DVR AND HAD TO SEND SEVERAL EMAILS THREATENING LEGAL ACTION BECAUSE OF THEIR RELUCTANCE TO REFUND ME WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IMMEDIATELY AND WHICH ACTUALLY TOOK SEVERAL WEEKS. I HAVE SINCE INFORMED TRADING STANDARDS OF THIS COMPANY.
