I sent 2 separate emails on 2 separate occasions and I had no response to either of them. (both were received as I had confirmation to state this.) So I am very disappointed!! The Health Counter were also slow to dispatch my items and delivery was very slow also. Overall a very poor experience!! I would certainly not recommend!

Like you I came here to read reviews of the company before ordering as I'd never heard of them before. Like you I read a few negative reviews and a few good reviews and decided to take a chance. I regret that now and hopefully I can prevent you from experiencing the same.
I placed an order for a Braun 7 799cc electric shaver. The money was taken three times from my credit card! I then called to sort the issue out and was informed that they are having problems with their payment systems!
I then received a call to tell me that the shaver I ordered was the wrong one advertised and the model they had was the model below the one purchased - but the price was the same. Alarm bells should have started ringing about now but a 10% discount was offered to me to dull the pain. Apologies were also given to me on the over-charging and I was advised this is an issue with the company the Health Counter uses to process payments - outside payment company?
I was asked to leave placing my second order for a week to the payment issues with the other company could be sorted, so I did. I left it a week then called back and was advised to place my order online, which I did. That was on Friday past.
Monday I received another call telling me that the order was "sitting here" ready to be posted and would be sent out by Parcel Force and according to my card account the payment had already been taken. Monday evening I received a text from Parcel Force saying that my order will be with me on the 9th (next day).
Next day arrives and then I get another call and email from the Health Counter informing me that there has been another issue with my payment and that the order hasn't been dispatched yet! I was advised that the third party payment company takes two payments from your card; one to see if the funds are available then the second when the order is dispatched. A few days later the first 'test' payment is refunded to your card.
My patience were all but gone I then explained to the customer service rep that in 20 years of mail order shopping I have never encountered such activity from a company and that I want no further communication or business with The Health Counter.
I was advised the issue with payments that I was having has been happening to others as well so I advised the company to make a note on their website that they are having payment issues. I was told they would do so - so let's see if they do!
I was annoyed after the wrong product was advertised but I gave them a second chance. I was annoyed about the payments issue but I gave them a third chance. Then finally I gave up, disgusted and messed about.
My advice is to steer well clear of this company until they get themselves sorted and better established. But right now they're new, unreliable and not trustworthy and you do run the risk of having the same problems as me should you order from them. As they are unable to process payments unless your card gets billed several times.
Hopefully someone will find this review helpful. My aim isn't to lose the company business but to help them learn from their mistakes by publicizing my experience on the web and to try and prevent others going through what I went through.
The old saying of cheap pricing being "too good to be true" rings very true for the Heath Counter.
Ordered 20 mins before deadline for next day delivery. Had never used this site before. Had confirmation. Next day came and went so I e- mailed as the parcel hadn't even been dispatched. Was told it was an error by the courier. I e-mailed again twice saying that when it is delivered I don't expect to pay next day charge. Twice I was told e-mail corrupted. So I ordered on the 1st and it arrived on the 4th. It is now the 5th and I have sent them a message via contact us although they have not taken payment yet. Cant get through on the phone. Not good is it when you are in pain and need something because no chemists have it available.
Thank you for your reply. I have been refunded the difference between next day delivery and standard. I don't understand why you would not tell me that it was not a next day item when I put the order in.
I ordered some Dr Browns bottles to help with my newborns colic. Once I had ordered I realised that I needed these urgently and had paid for the slower postage service. However to my wife and I's delight my package arrived the very next day, despite the fact that I ordered early afternoon. Very impressed and lowest price for this product I have seen online. Keep up the good work guys.
An update to the review I left last week. After PROVING that the mistake was theirs and that they HAD taken money from my account, but also that they had tried to take the payment TWICE (the 2nd one being flagged by my CC company as a fraudulent payment - which in effect it was) they have finally (after 6 days) got back to me to tell me they have canceled the order twice (even though I only ordered once) and that they have refunded my card for the full amount (therefore PROVING that payment was taken). My balance hasn't increased by the amount they took but until my new statement is printed I am unable to check exactly how much they repaid (hopefully it is the full amount or I will pass everything on to the relevant authorities). They are still REFUSING to accept any responsibility for them trying to take more money from my account and as such I will NEVER use or recommend to anyone. Please be aware if you are considering making a purchase from this company.
Where to start? I'm currently embroiled in a war of worlds with them over a mistake THEY have made.
I placed an order totalling £104.97; the payment was authorised and I was sent an email with the order number that stated payment had been recieved. This was at 10.24 on the morning of the 21st. Later that evening I received another email from them to tell me that my payment had been declined, but this email had a totally DIFFERENT order number. A quick check of my credit card balance showed that exactly £104.97 had been issued and taken from my limit, so I contacted them asking for them to verify what had happened (I know people are only human and mistakes are made). 2 emails later (every time I telephoned I got cut off) I have just received a reply telling me that my card was declined so they have cancelled my order.
This then prompted me to telephone my card issuer who told me they took payment (that was authorised) at 10.24 but that at 14.50 that same day they tried to take the same amount. Believing this to be a fraud attempt (due to it being the same amount) my card issuer did in fact decline this attempt (and I am very glad they did or this company would now have 2 lots of money from me for the same order that they are saying I won't receive because my card was declined).
I have now been back to this company (again via email so that I have everything in writing) and have attached all their emails and my proof of payment from them back to them and am waiting to see where they will try to fob me off next as they are telling me I spoke to one of their colleagues yesterday and everything was fine (I have NEVER spoken to anyone) but that later in the day they informed the payment had failed.
From prompt dispatch to hassle free returns these guys are simply awesome. They not only have the best prices on internet but they are also backed by one of the best customer care team. Wish you all the best and hope you keep the spirit going on and on.
I was really impressed with Healthcounter and the products I ordered. I have been trying to find a good cleansing bar that doesn't cost the earth and had previously seen the reviews for this one. I found Healthcounter on Ebay and purchased 3 bars - by far the best deal. My order was delivered within a few days, I started using the product and won't be buying anything else but this from now on.
At a time when Syndol has been removed from the shops, again, the only place I could find to order them was at the Health Counter. These tablets are the only ones that can help my migraines and I was relieved and pleased when I could order them from The Health Counter. The ordering was simple and payment was easy. The tablets were delivered quickly which meant, for me, that i was able to keep my migraines under control. I would recommend The Health Counter to anyone.
I read a few reviews online which made me slightly hesitate ordering. After careful consideration, I decided to go for it as my order was only small and for medicines. I have since ordered a few more times and would not hesitate again. My orders have arrived safely and quickly. I have been kept up to date via e-mail about the status of my orders. Simple and straightforward.
Helpful and efficient company to deal with, only quibble was that one of the products I ordered was said to be in stock on their website, but turned out not to be. Refund process effectively and quickly though.
I couldn't get what I needed anywhere offline. Online prices were ridiculous and just taking pure advantage of the situation. thehealthcounter delivered what I wanted, well packaged and for a reasonable price. I'll definitely order from them again.
