I participated in the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner course and was very happy with the whole process. I received pre course material just after booking the course, with a comprehensive description of the process and the work required before and during the course. The material also included a daily schedule for the course and exam-related questions.
The training was performed by a professional tutor who made sure everyone was up to speed at all times. He also made us work together in groups, so we got to know each other a little. I was very happy with the whole experience.
Booking the course was easy. Participating less so! We were provided with pre-course materials which were useful. However, I found there was a tremendous amount of additional information to take in as part of the classroom work. I would have preferred to have more pre-work so that I could confirm and consolidate my understanding rather than trying to take in a lot of new concepts right up to the point of taking the exams.
The lecturer was excellent and delivered the course in the allotted time. The venue was very comfortable and accessible.
Over all a professional supplier of the Prince2 seminar, with a competent and friendly trainer, who explains and shows the different theories in a manner where it is understandable for all people. The trainer also took the necessary time to answer the questions from the participants properly and if needed he used some of the times in the pauses to explain these issues.
I attending this course this week in London. From day 1 it was obvious that the trainer was not a Business Analyst but a Project Manager who just read from the slides. She was unable to bring the course content to life by using examples, put no business context around the tools and techniques, frequently contradicted herself or changed her mind and constantly made sweeping generalisations. As an experienced BA (looking for formal qualifications) two top BA skills are being able to explain complex concepts in clear ways and attention to detail, she exhibited neither.
I was not the only person on the course who was deeply unimpressed and I have heard from one already that their business will be complaining.
The venue is also extremely poor, no access to drinking water (there is a tap but it takes abut 5 mins to fill a water bottle), and being hydrated is important to learning.
I won't use these people again and cannot recommend them.
I have recently completed my Prince2 training with The Knowledge Academy in their London location and had a really good week. I had a trainer called Ray who was fantastic, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Prince2. He went through everything slowly ensuring we were all at the same pace. Thanks to him I passed the prince2 course first time! I am incredibly impressed with The Knowledge Academy and will be using them again in the future.
Excellent online course, with regular checks for understanding. Very good end of module tests that lead up to the full exam practice papers.
Looking forward to doing further courses with knowledge academy in the future.
Tutor was excellent and got us all through. The venue however was tatty with minimal facilities and not conducive to learning. Capped by builders making an awful noise through half the exam (extremely loud drilling) on the last day.
I recently attended a PRINCE2 training course for a full week - it was brilliant - there was a lot to take in and lots of homework (every night) but it was worth every penny. I had a really brilliant trainer too. I would recommend this course to anyone! It was excellent - very professionally organised and efficiently delivered. Thank you!
Really enjoyed the M_o_R course I recently attended. The venue was easy to find and the learning environment was friendly and relaxed.
There was plenty to cover on the course but our trainer Rob Walters really brought the material to life and kept my attention well.
Thanks - would certainly consider this provide again.
Recently took the PRINCE2 course with The Knowledge Academy and would highly recommend it to anyone. With the good price and the quality training they provide, you can't go wrong.
I learn the Prince2 training course in Newcastle and found the training centre pure quality. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and provided tea and coffee throughout the day.
Our trainer Peter knew exactly what he was talking about and appeared to be a real pro in Prince2 which was a delight to see. He also ensured we were fully equipt for the exam ahead of us. I also feel confident in using the Prince2 principles in the workplace - So cannot wait to get back to work.
Did not take into account the needs of business and there is no way, even though I passed the course that I think I could use what I learnt for managing a project in a real scenario.
Not so much learning as practising to pass exams.
I would recommend anyone looking to do Prince 2 teaches themselves for good while before the course as the course is more like exam and highlighting sentences in a book practice.
Just completed my prince2 in Manchester with The Knowledge Academy and found the company really professional.
Right from the beginning the admin was very good, the customer service was fantastic and she was able to help me understand exactly what i needed to know about the course before i signed up.
Just finished my Prince2 Course with The Knowledge Academy in Reading and had a great week with the BLIZZARD!
My trainer Simon was very enthusiastic and passionate about Prince2 which made learning the stuff really easy and enjoyable. The entire week was great fun whilst also educational. This is exactly how I love to work!
I would definitely recommend this Prince2 course with The Knowledge Academy to anyone who wants to learn it. They are cheap but incredibly professional.
The Knowedge Academy is a highly reputable training organisation and I would highly recommend. The customer care was outstanding and the trainer on the PRINCE2 course was excellent. Ray Legray - the trainer, was an expert in his field and a very skilled trainer. I recommend the company and Ray to anyone who is interested in being trained on PRINCE2. I will definitely look into other courses that they run. Thank you.
Just finished my course with TKA in Birmingham and passed with flying colours. The course was challenging at times but then I suppose it is meant to be! The trainer Brian was really good and worked very slow so I could catch up easily.
The price was also the cheapest I could find - which originally made me doubt the quality but actually, I can't fault TKA.
Will be using them again.
Just recently took Prince2 in Leeds with The Knowledge Academy and had a great week. The instructor was really good and knew exactly what he was talking about. I have already booked my next course with TKA and will be recommending them to my friends.
I found the e learning course quite basic but clear. I felt I needed to use the manual a lot to fill in the gaps. The webinars and mock exams were invaluable however for exam preparation.
My only issue was the lack of knowledge of the admin staff who couldn't tell me the time of the exam!
I was very happy with the teaching and content of the course and passed the Practitioner paper with 85%+ but I am still (6weeks later) wating for a refund of the fee charged for shipping the Prince2 manual to my home prior to the course (due to it NOT being shipped). Multiple emails and call have fallen on deaf ears !!! A shame as it leaves a bad taste in the mouth against an otherwise seamless experience.
After many years not officially learning anything, I chose The Knowledge Accademy to professionalise my skills with Prince2.
The Training was intense and thourough. The trainer was 1st rate and explained everything succinctly.
I intend to continue further studies, and will use them again.
I was impressed how well it was run with no time wasted at all. Very challenging course but well laid out and presented by the trainer John Power. Can't be easy teaching it from scratch over and over as it's essentially a very dry subject, but John was excellent. I'd happily recommend the Knowledge Academy to a friend.
1/ Your website could not accept my debit card
2/ After numerous calls it was finally accepted manually
3/ I received no joining instructions or documentation. I was working away from home so when I returned home at the weekend there was nothing. I waited until the next weekend. Still nothing.
4/ On the Saturday before the the course started on the Monday, I rang at 8am as advertised on your website. I finally got through at 9.30 to a girl who said she was on her own and lines did not open at 8, but 9, and she would send me the pack electronically.
5/ Nothing arrived. 2 more calls later it finally did, early afternoon. There was a pack to work through which took several hours.
6/ On the week of the course I rang again to ask for an invoice and receipt, as I had not had those either. Form the demeanour of the person who took the call I simply knew it would never appear. It didn't.
7/ Another call and it was emailed.
In summary, unprofessional and unacceptably poor administration and back up. I would not recommend the course to colleagues.
I chose TKA for my Prince2 Foundation and Practitioner course and was very happy with my decision. Our trainer was John Power who was an excellent teacher, highly experienced and very knowledgeable. We worked very hard and as expected the course was very intensive, but the group came together very quickly and the camaraderie made the whole thing even more enjoyable. Any more attendees and the room would have been too small and probably too hot. I was attracted by the mention of the best pass rate of all training companies and certainly every in my group pass Foundation level. I passed both parts and with marks in excess of 70% each time, and that's coming from an almost completely inexperienced start.
Failed the practitioner's exam (by 3%) first time round and the noise from next door office (during the exam) was very distratcting which did not help matters. Tutor did ask the people in that room to be quieter but to no avail, and unltimately they did lower theri voices when i had to stop my exam and tell them myself. I felt at the time that the tutor should have been stronger. Managed to pass second time round. The room used was lot quieter!
Overall, I have attended the classes with 2 tutors - both were very good in delivering the material in an efficient manner.
The tutor concentrated on exam strategy, which helped to sort out what was relevant in each part of the course, and kept the course entertaining and interesting with practical advice from her experience.
I was apprehensive as had not studied for 7 years and don't do exams easily. However I found the trainer's tips for managing and handling the exam questions invaluable and I am convinced this helped me to pass the exams. He was very good at sticking to the content and did not allow deviations which was good as it allowed the class to concentrate on the work required. I would recommend the intensive course although hard work a great way to get both qualifications in a week. Only reason to not give 5 stars was I was sent to the wrong location on the first day, fortunately the correct location was not too far away and I didn't miss too much.
The course was pretty intense and well worth the money. This is mainly due to the professor who made this course not only interesting but provided some live examples which bring any academic lessons learnt to the real world which what I need in order to be sucessful. In the end I was.
A reasonable price compared to other providers. They sent me the materials well in advance of the course, with a decent amount of prep work to do as well. The course itself was delivered in a thorough and detailed manner. The instructor had many years' experience in project management and was able to explain things clearly, taking the time to make sure we understood each and every point. The exam guidance was also extremely valuable, especially if you haven't sat one for a while! The refreshments provided were good quality and much appreciated. All in all, very impressed and would recommend to anyone thinking of doing PRINCE2.
I enjoyed attending classes and learning Project management from the knowledge academy - because, among other things, the faculty was very well experienced , patient and friendly with the students.
Very knowledgeable and friendly instructor who is clearly experienced in her field. Will be enrolling on future courses with the Knowledge Acadamy in the near future and would definatley recommend them to a friend.
Very impressed with Knowledge Academy delivery of MSP in Birmingham. Very knowledgable tutor with high level corporate experience, excellent course materials that included classroom powerpoints and two past papers each for foundation and practitioner exams, and good advice on exam structure and technique. Course structure a good mix of course content, discussion of real-life examples and exam practice. Total number of delegates was ten. Venue and refreshment/lunch services poor compared to other training providers with comparable prices. Would highly recommend.
Thank you for helping me achieve my MSP Practitioner certification within five days!!
The course covered all the topics within the first 2.5 days, the rest of time was practising exams questions and taking the exams. The instructor knew the course inside out and could probably do it in her sleep. This was a problem as she would use abbreviations and would talk as though we knew what she was talking about and made us feel uncomfortable when we said we didn't get it. The course was more to getting you through the exams rather than how you would apply project management in your organisation.
