Excellent service, i'm total beginner in the mic world and had no idea what i was looking for. Made an appointment with these guys took my pa system with me and tried various different types of mics. The gentleman was extremely helpful, i didn't feel like i was being rushed. I would most definately recommend these guys to anyone. 10/10 for me.

Want a New head Mic, but not sure which one to choose?
My old head mic that I've relied on for years, was starting to cause a few problems, and after making the decision to change it, I really didn't really know which one to choose. So i visited the Mic Store Web site, and after seeing how many new models there were to choose from, it made my decision even harder; So I rang , and spoke to one of thier representatives, who was not pushy at all and was extremely helpfull.
He listened to what I needed and helped me choose the head mic that was just right for me.

The item I purchased was a good make, but I must admit I am having some trouble that I am trying to solve.

Over promise - under deliver (literally)
Expect - excellent value for money and first class gear.
Don't expect it to come next day, try about a week.
Expect friendly service and advice when you call them.
Don't expect emails to be returned or promises to call you back after purchase.
Expect to be disappointed when you finally get your package and find that not all items were sent.
Expect another 3 or 4 days waiting not to be phoned back for the missing item.
If I'd have expected a week or so for delivery I'd have given it this a 5 star rating. Had it have all come next day as the site promised 5 stars wouldn't have been enough.
I noticed quite a few similar reviews to mine hiding between the 5-stars so I guess I drew the short straw. Can't fault any of the gear or prices though. I left a 5-star review for the Microphone I bought (AT4050) which is the best price I've seen and one of the best mics I've used. so not all bad ;)

Good prices and honest service but still waiting.
I placed an order and am still waiting for half of it. The first half was shipped (although not on a next day as paid for) but the second half has been delayed for a week. It's not actually their fault as they are waiting for a supplier to deliver but that's not really my concern.
Still, at least someone answers the phone and is there to discuss issues. I would definitely shop with them again.

Great delivery but poor on dealing with a problem.
Two microphones bought, and delivered quickly, working well.
Then a small connecting cable which was defective. I returned this with a letter, phoned a week later ( my letter was with the returns team). Phoned 6 weeks later (very sorry - will give an immediate refund). Two weeks later - no refund and I am about to phone again.

I wanted a stereo condenser mic with which to record my small a cappella choir on my Marantz PMD660 solid state recorder. As I was not sure which model to buy I rang TheMicStore more or less at random for advice. The member of staff I spoke to was able to explain very clearly the pros and cons of different mics, and also how they worked, without being at all patronising. I bought a Rode NT4, which was reasonably priced, arrived promptly, and has proved to be excellent. The recordings are crystal clear with excellent dynamic range. I phoned them for information....and got it. Very good advice. I was looking at buying an expensive microphone, nice gadget to have! In the end, they told me that I didn't need that and one that was much cheaper would be what I needed.
