think twice before you join timetalk, they are not as good as they say,my bill started off really cheap and i thought to myself this is a fantastic offer, thats until i joined then the problems started to uncover,my bills started to go up,the internet was just awful, and so slow so please if anyone is thinking of joining THINK TWICE before you sign any contract
I have been trying to leave Time Talk since I joined in Jan this year I was told that Talk Talk was putting up their prices without informing their customer which meant they were in breach of their contract which was a lie. They assured me they would deal with any correspondence and not to worry. I ended up having to pay £225 breakage fee as I was threatened with court by Talk Talk. Trying to get my money back is impossible they will only credit my account don't think you can use this to terminate your contract early either you can't. They have been fined £60k by Ofcom and are being closely monitored. Please take this advice otherwise you will end up as angry and stresseed as me
Constantly overcharge, constantly unable to make or receive phone calls. Don't respond to calls or e-mails. Worse company I have ever had the misfortune of choosing! Please please save yourself the hassle & use someone else.
Added on 21/10/13 please be aware that they are now manufacturing unagreed contracts to make people stay as they charge you a couple of hundred if you leave. The only contract I ever agreed to finishes on 08/11/13 & they are saying if I leave they will fine me £203 as they say I took another contract in dec12 for 24 months & when I rang them today they said I took one out on the 24/05/13. Both of which I had no knowledge of & have not agreed to. So seemingly I have 3 contracts on the go! The only way they can keep customers is by holding us hostage. I have contacted watchdog & told them to look at this site & to try & help us.
I typed in Talk Talk on google and then phoned the number Time Talk answered.. the sales guy convinced me they were faster and cheaper and to my better judgment and very out of character for me i went with them.
The broadband service is slow and keeps on loosing connection and they have been charging me £35 per month from the start??? I was quoted £18.00 per month and so far they have failed to answer any of the many phone calls or emails I have sent??
AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!
No complaints line service is shocking how many times do timetalk need to raise a line for an engineer to fix a problem 3 times they have raised the line for me I'm still waiting plus when they say they will phone you back they never do. The way timetalk treat their customers is a disgrace I'm livid with them if you receive a call do not change from your current supplier to timetalk because they never hav the customer at heart
__BEWARE ___this company offered there line rental and broadband for a very reasonable rate with no rises within contract period WRONG i have not even received 2nd bill and no notificatation but hey INCREASE IN LINE RENT. for your own good AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
4 weeks spent waiting for TimeTalk to resolve my network speed issues and disconnections.
Had to return to Virgin, surprised this company is still around have heard nothing but bad things.
I think the premium rate number for technical assistance pisses a lot of people off.
Seriously Cheaper just paying a reputable provider like Virgin or BT.

I have been having trouble with Timetalk since January 2013 when I was supposed to move from <external link removed> to them and get fibre optic broadband. My services were stopped by <external link removed> on 25th Feb but I did not go live with Timetalk until the end of March. My fibre has not worked properly since start and yesterday my speeds dropped again to 1.9/2.5mb/sec from highs of 36mb/s. However Timetalk say I used 27gb yesterday even though we could hardly use the net. We normally use 1/2 gb per day. Timetalk are closed all weekends so it is impossible to report these faults and when calling like today I was put on hold for 31 mins before a person answered and I asked to be put through to a complaints department or escalations department as I have been told they are dealing with my problems. After being put on hold for another 40 mins aperson answered saying they were from the same department I started at. I asked to be put through to complaints and was told they would call me back. As they had been promising that for some months and never do call back I said I wanted to speak to someone now. I was put on hold again and as has happened repeatedly in the past I was eventually cut off after 75 mins on the phone. I have had money wrongly taken from my bank and not returned even though Timetalk promised to return it. I have paid £100 extra as the normal routers do not work and the business router they sent also did not work so I agreed to return it for a refund. No refund has been paid. I have now bought my own router that works fine although my speeds and useage are wrong still. I have paid a years line rental in advance only for timetalk to repeatedly continue to charge me extra for line rental. I have been promised unlimited useage only to be charged extra for going over some limit. I have made nearly 60 calls and very ralely talk to anyone who can sort my problems and ver very raley get the promised call back from timetalk. I have been told the problem is with BT only to have a number of visits from BT where I have had to wait in to be told the problem is with Timetalk and not BT. I have been told by Timetalk to problem is with my pc or my phone so I bought a new phone and renewed my pc only to fnd out the problem was not with me either. I have written emails and letters to timetalk and get no reply. I have stopped my direct debit as they keep taking more and more money from my bank when I should be in credit so timetalk have no charged me penalty fees! I have now reported them to CISAS and hope they have more satisfaction than I am able to achieve. I will be leaving Tilmetalk as soon as I can.
I placed an order with Time talk and later found due to my circumstances it was not convenient for me to change my provider at this time. We I wrote to them they cancelled my order and wished me well. Good on Time Talk.

I was a customer of another ISP up until a couple of months ago. In August I went into what I thought was my ISP's web site to check my billing statement. I got a message on a web page ( I don't know how I ended up on that page) to say there was a problem with my account and gave an 0800 number to ring. When I dialled the number I got an operator who claimed they were signing up customers to a new account. I then noticed the different name (TIME Talk). I told the operator that I still had time left on my current contract but I was told not to worry about it, that it would be taken care of. I had the definite impression that my ISP was aware of this. Realisation that Time Talk was actually a competitor poaching customers from my ISP came later, but I stupidly allowed myself to be drawn in. My ISP charged me a £90 contract break fee, which they took out of my direct debit. For a few weeks the Time Talk customer advisers insisted I shouldn't worry, just mail them a pdf of the statement, and they’ll pass it to their accounts department for processing. A lot of sympathy and telling me how bad my ISP was by charging such a large amount and they would write to them on my behalf and urge them to refund it.. I have now accepted my mistake, and as a result of this experience I want to leave Time Talk and go elsewhere. Their Cancellation advisor told me they would charge me a contract breaking fee of over £500.
I have since heard from Time Talk and they have decided to credit me back the £90 because as they admitted their salesperson had made a mistake in allowing me to believe they would simply pay back the breakage fee. So on this basis they have started to go up in my estimation.
