TNT

HORRIBLE, HEARTLESS, CAPITALISTIC AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND

I have had the worse experience of my life with TNT ( consignment 296 469 535). I sadly decided you to use their services via Transglobal London to send two boxes of all my personal items (all of things very close to my heart) to India on 5th February 2013. There was a typo on my Invoice (it should have been £90 instead of £900) and I had requested them to reassess my invoice and try to get them to accept the new Invoices for my things. I was informed that they had already paid the customs at India for Rs28000 on my goods and given that I am unemployed at the moment I had been requesting them to try to be a little flexible and try to show that they really care. For them it was just another consignment but they did not realise the emotional importance of the things for me. I literally was on the phone with them for three weeks and pleaded them to help me out and later my retired father also got involved. I was transferred from one person to another from UK, US, HUNGARY AND INDIA. I have the names of all the TNT representatives I spoke with and email correspondence of me literally begging them to help me. The entire process was emotionally taxing for me and physically for my father who is retired.
I am unemployed and never disagreed to pay the hefty charges. All I was asking them to be a LITTLE HUMAN and NOT CAPITALISTIC. We spoke with the TNT UK office on 8th March again if they could help us out a little and try to adjust some of the charges against the freight charges of £192 I already paid for these boxes.
Today morning I called them again to receive heart breaking news. I called them to ask if they could really reconsider and to follow up with the UK TNT office - I have been informed that they have DISCARDED MY BOXES WITHOUT INFORMING ME. I received NO mail from their team at TNT and Transglobal giving me a deadline. From the very start, I spoke with TNT UK and India office and at every point I heard a different story. At all times TNT only cared about the money and more money. They do not care about their customer. How could they discard the things which hold close to me? I want them back and now they are not even willing to help me. THEY NEED TO GIVE MY THINGS BACK TO ME. How dare they discard and distribute my things without my consent. I will definitely take this further and get to the bottom of this issue.

Really friendly and helpful staff

I missed a delivery from these guys on a week day, when I rang to ask when they would re-deliver they explained that, as it was a google play item, it had to be delivered on a week day between 9 and 6. As soon as I said that I would have to call back to confirm a day once i'd booked a day off from work they instantly called through to the depot to see if an exception could be made and the package delivered on a Saturday. This was arranged in under 1 minute but a really friendly women called Natalie. The package then arrived as promised the following Saturday.

No complaints at all.

TNT

Total Shambles

This is the second time I've been unfortunate enough to be on the receiving end of a TNT delivered parcel, and both times have been equally as disappointing. Each time they claim a they tried to deliver and I was not home - funny as I'd taken time of work to wait for them - foolish I now know. Calling the customer helpline is of no use whatsoever; yes they are very kind and borderline helpful in that they can tell you your order will (yet again) be sent out the next day, but I'm afraid that's no good when the driver doesn't bother to show then claims you weren't home. If you're lucky enough to actually receive your parcel, chances are it'll be in a sorry state - everything I've had from them I've returned to sender, probably due to being loaded & unloaded multiple times from the mystery delivery van(s) that operate through Edinburgh City Centre.
Save yourself the hassle and don't bother - unless you want to wait 5+ days for a damaged parcel to appear.

Very helpful

I understand that people have had bad experiences with TNT, but I had an issue with google play. The parcel had not been picked up and no info was forthcoming. I rang TNT's national number and was put through to an English call centre. The assistant checked the situation and phoned straight back. They appeared fully informed. I have no complaints about TNT as their resolution of the problem was prompt and courteous. Being put straight through to a uk call centre is a luxury these days! Google play on the other hand are something else; about to review them too!

TNT

Shocking

Sent two items the same day, one to South Africa and one to Tahiti, one was 3 weeks delayed because it sat at customs in the UK apparently requiring a tarrif code which was not asked for and no-one let us know it was there waiting. Arrived with all contents obliterated. The other package to Tahiti arrived on time, but also smashed. On contacting was told no chance for recovery of the cost of the damaged items, never mind the shipping costs - tough.

TNT

Google dispatched it at 5AM, 4 hours later it was delivered to me.

You can literately call this the same day delivery service, but for it to be delivered within 4 hours of it being dispatched just amazes me.
No problems at all, i'm over the moon with TNT.

TNT

Rubbish

Used parcel2go and TNT.
Item delivered and the outer casing (Heavy plastic down pipe) was crushed at one end.
The contents were also damaged at the end crushed..
Parcel2go might as well try and communicate with the moon.
Parcel 2go attitude shoddy and completely lacking in any contact communication.
TNT real pass the buck merchants. Promised a token refund but alas all it is is token promises from what is supposed to be a fairly reputable company.

TNT

Works fine

I like the service if sending or receiving.
