This was my first order placed with Tooline.
I found some garden loppers on a popular book shop site but a search found that Tooline were selling them for less (inc postage)
As their site promised, I received email confirmation after a couple of days that the goods had been dispatched, and at the same time my payment was taken. The next working day the loppers arrived (parcelforce), well packed and just as ordered.

I have now placed 9 web orders with Tool Line in 2013. I find their prices to be unbeatable and the range of goods they offer is far wider than what can be browsed using the categories on their website - the trick is to use the search box.
I have had to make changes to several orders and sending them an email during business hours always generates a helpful response within an hour.
Next day delivery by Citylink is free for orders over £50 which is a lower threshold than many of their competitors.
I have recommended Tool Line to a number of my friends who have also found them to be keenly priced and efficient.
This company had caught my eye for a number of reasons. Firstly they were among the cheapest on the net, they appeared to have an excellent range of stock, and a pretty user-friendly website. So far so good, until I read the bad reviews.
As I needed some bits & pieces quite quickly, and as they had what I wanted & at the right price, I decided to take the plunge.
I rang them the day after placing the order to see if I could change the order slightly & I got through quite quickly & the adviser was quite helpful - he also mentioned that some items were not in stock at their shop & they need to be ordered from somewhere else, & that it will take a day or two. I found this a bit odd as all the items were showing in stock on the website.
Anyway, I received a delivery confirmation email two days after placing the order & received the order on the third working day.
The items themselves were well packed. I had ordered 25 items, and 24 were in the parcel (so 96% success rate) & with no information of the missing item on the invoice, which I assumed was probably out of stock. I was not charged for this item & was not desperate for it & so did not bother to call the company.
So, in conclusion....I have awarded the company 4 stars - for price, website usability, helpfulness, packaging & free delivery (min amount applies). Lost 1 star for not making clear reason for not sending missing item.
I do hope to order from them again some time in the future.

I ordered a cable lock, no indication that it wasn't in stock on the website. After 3 days and no email about dispatch I called them. Promised would look into it and call back. Didn't call back. After 5 days I emailed, took them a full 24 hours to reply. No idea when would be in stock. I cancelled order.
Shockingly bad customer service, obviously care about their customers.
I would never use them again.
I ordered a strimmer and wet and dry vac as prices were good and reviews were good. Although it was indicated that all items were in stock at time of order, after waiting a few days I got an email saying that the strimmer would take some weeks to be delivered (obviously not in stock then!) I rang and cancelled strimmer which left just the wet and dry vac to be delivered.
I came home one day to find a small package had been delivered and when I opened it, it was a small pump wrench from toolline, along with an invoice for £52.08. I rang toolline and they said if I put item in post they would refund (I should ruddy think so given I hadnt ordered it!) I had to ask about cost of sending 'their' item back and was told they would refund postage. No apology, no sorry for the fact you have to drive to post office to send 'wrong item sent' back.
I did this after a few emails and another telephone call they arranged a refund. Of course I cancelled the wet and dry vacumn the minute they sent me a wrench in its place!
Im afraid I wont use this company again!

I have been a customer of Toolline in excess of twelve years - the reason being that nowadays it's refreshing to deal with a company that offers truly great service. The staff are very knowledgable, always friendly and bend over backwards to help. I can wholeheartedly recommended this company.
fast, amazing service with staff who you can truly talk to. friendly and very professional and very knowledgable.i had trouble accessing information and Mat (who was my contact) sent me all the links by e-mail very swiftly. with this information i ordered my goods at 9am and when i returned home that night at 5pm the goods were in my house. totally amazing. i will definately recommend and use again. hats off to all the staff and especially Mat, thanks all round. Cant fault these guys in one way.
I have been importing tools & accessories from around the world over the years through Ebay & other retailers. In my quest for pricing competitiveness & a huge & varied inventory of products from reputed manufacturers I have finally found Toolline UK who not only meet my requirements but deliver internationally at an economical rate.
One thing is for sure before I buy anything from anywhere else I will be sure to check if Tooline has it & then I need look no further. My thanks to Terry Matthews for his assistance. Will surely be back.
We have been using the services of Toolline for many years and without exception the service we require has been fullfilled in every way. Their pricing policy is competitive, delivery exceptional and their product knowledge is unsurpassed. We would also like to add the staff are always friendly/helpful which in our book is an important factor. We would recommend Toolline to anybody within the industry.
Initially I looked around on the web for a specific item I was after but had no joy as to availability. I then came across ToolineUK and the next morning I called them and spoke to Peter, who was more than helpful along with being polite and friendly.
There was a query I had regarding the product and Peter said he would check and call me back, which he did within an hour.
I then ordered the product, a Metabo Mitre saw, last Friday morning, and was advised it would be next working day delivery.
The saw arrived this morning, being Monday, at 8.30am.
So once again, thank you for a fantastic service and for being able to speak with a human being first.
I'm also a distributor of equipment and in defence of Toolline, and this is not meant as a put down to other reviewers, but sometimes I get things wrong and deliveries don't go according to plan. There is an old adage that says that 'when it goes wrong, it goes wrong big time'.
That's not meant as an excuse, but is meant as a reason why sometimes it goes pear shaped.
I personally will use Toolline UK again.
I've used ToollineUK just the one time but that was enough for me to realise I'll not be using them again. They claimed the items were in stock and that they dispatch within 24 hours or 48 at most. Six days passed and no sign of items so I emailed them to ask if they had been sent. I then got a dispatch notice in an email, no apologies or explanation to my enquiry. It states on their site that cards are only charged when orders are actually dispatched yet the money was gone from my account on day one despite my order not even being processed for almost a week. It only takes one time for me to blacklist a company from my own personal use when this is the way they deal with me. Packaging was poor with just a jiffy bag protecting my items, which came in their own flimsy paper card type boxes which were crushed in the jiffy bag leaving the tools to fend for themselves. The items themselves, consisting of extension accessories for a Bosch IXO rechargeable screwdriver were great and easy too use but then that part is down to Bosch and not ToolLineUK.
