Never again
I used Toprooms to book a 1 night stay for my family. Never again. We were charged an extra £30 by the B&B and told it was advertised incorrectly. I wish I had not paid it but I didn't want a scene. Complained to Toprooms but they weren't interested. Got no support at all. Just make sure there are no hidden charges when you book.

Cheap but not cheerful!
The photo of 79 Upper St Giles Road apartment shown on Toprooms website is not the place we stayed in! It also didn't have the en suite that it stated. We had no hot water, the boiler had a bowel under to catch the water that leaked out, all the lettering & numbers on the microwave had worn out completely so you couldn't tell if it was on medium, high or defrost & it was dirty. The oven was also dirty to the extent of it setting the smoke alarms off! The freezer didn't look like it had ever been defrosted with red stains where something had spilt. Two of the armchairs were ready for the tip! I couldn't believe why someone would think this was exceptable! I know the apartment is very cheap but the standards were not acceptable. It was the photos on Toprooms website of the apartments that made me book as they looked basic but clean and were of good value. I now feel that the photos on Toprooms website are false advertising! I have taken photos of which I'd be happy to forward on to you.

Super Easy Good Deal
I booked a 6 night stay in the Yorkshire Dales and only paid for 4 nights (3 for 2) The hotel was lovely and booking it through toprooms was easy, will definately use them again

Avoid This Hotel At All Cost - Golden Beach, Blackpool.
This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in, receptionist could barely speak english, no evening meal as booked, room very small, dirty, no towels,soap and broken facilities. Breakfast is served only between 09:00 and 09:30 causing people to queue and rush. Our room 26, the window was insecure and the wind whistled through causing us to not getting any sleep, nobody present in the morning only a tub to leave the room key in.
This hotel Golden Beach, Blackpool, should be closed down!

Great location, friendly service
This guest house is in a great location for london and surrounding area - Kew, Richmond etc. It is close to shops and railway. The service is friendly and relaxed. The rooms are a bit small / dated but good range of facilities and clean. Guest lounge is very good and breakfast is excellent

This hotel is a health hazard its unclean, damp, smelly & inhabitable here enter at your own risk !
Basically all4rooms we were offered had a mixture of either/and/or pubes/urine/blood/faeces in/on the bed/shower/toilet/mattress/wall and pigeon mess on the windows..as well as tablets on the floor.but the best bit has to be when i opened the duvet cover and shown the guy how urine stained the duvet was, it was yellow and grey, his reply..'well that's why we put the duvet cover on to cover it up'...eh!cant argue with that can you... ! aviod this hotel

We had seen enough so we checked out, noticing on the way out discarded hypodermic needles in the corridors and hearing complaints from others about there being 'sh*t all up the sides' (the sides of what? i dread to think)...The pictures on the internet are false advertising which just misleads people !THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF ANY ATTEMPT TO CLEAN ANYTHING FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS.

Stay at the Regis if you want a really miserable, depressing break, and pay dearly for it!
Never in my life have I stayed in such an appalling B and B as this one, and I have stayed in many , so have plenty of them to compare with this one! The decor and lighting was dark, cheerless and needed the lights on all the time, there being no light from the windows, which were stuck and , in the kitchen, barred. No fire escape regulations on display, nobody on the premises at all for security or advice. was disgusted at having to go halfway along the street for breakfast, so did not bother! The place smelled fusty, the kitchen needed a good clean, especially beside the cooker which had a knob missing. Not very safe! Rain poured through the bathroom roof, an ancient conservatory really, wash hand basin loose on wall, and no privacy at all as you could see right in if the curtains were not drawn beside the bed! The bed was clean but the duvet was just pulled over the rumpled sheets, not smoothed or tucked in.. The receptionist was unhelpful, did not show any interest, concern or friendliness at all. On handing back the keys I got a curt 'thanks' and the door shut in my face with no queries whether I had enjoyed my stay, which is the norm everywhere else. A health and safety officer would be appalled at some of the hazards to be found.

booked through toprooms and did not get the room i wanted to book
Toprooms was easy to use and a good site BUT I wanted a particular room at the Dunster Castle Hotel @ £150 per night
got the booking conformation back @ £125 per night and thought to myself it must be a late season price (late October) No they accepted my booking and given me a different room than the one I wanted you can imagine my disappointment and the confusion it caused on arrival at the hotel I WOULD BOOK DIRECT WITH THE HOTEL ONLY USE TOPROOMS AS A GUIDE TO AVOID THE SAME DISAPPOINTMENT

Easy peasy, nice and easy, no hastle booking
2 dog-friendly hotel/guest houses I have used through your company have both been excellent value for money, very comfortable with very friendly hosts. Good breakfasts and evening meals too, again reasonably priced. When you are travelling alone a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere makes the holiday. I will be using your hotels again.

not very good.
The rooms were poorly decorated and very poorly furnished there was no television in the rooms and when asked about them they were all broken (every room ?) andon one of the mornings no one turned up to make breakfast for the guests so we had to got out to a local cafe and get our own and pay for it.The whole experience was not good and that is being polite.I will have to think again next time who i book through.Thank you.Alan Cheshire.

The site was really easy to use - by tailoring the search to your exact requirements (number of guests, nights, available dates, location, price), all irrelevant information was removed, making it quick and easy to choose from what was remaining. Paying a deposit through the site was quick and trouble-free and confirmed that the reservation had been made.

Nice room - shame about the plumbing.
Nice room, friendly staff but it sounded like Niagara Falls when people in the room above flushed the loo. There were also some dipsticks outside who liked to rev their engine at 2am in the morning.

Great weekend AT THE RAMSAY HOTEL IN BLACKPOOL
GREAT PLACE TO STAY, POLITE AND HELPFUL STAFF, LOVELY ROOM WITH TEAS/COFFEES ETC., TOILETRIES IN THE BATHROOM. MARVELLOUS BREAKFAST, REALLY SET US UP FOR THE DAY. WOLD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TO OTHERS.

Must be the shabbiest hotel in Blackpool
Not a very good recommendation but as it was only one night we were able to put up with it. Room was pathetic, supposed to be a family room but so tiny you could'nt swing a cat in it. No towels or toothglasses in bathroom. Beds and bedding very dingy and overall a very depressing 'hotel'. Breakfast was o.k.

A night at the Dogs
Not to far from the Dog track,the owners were very plesant and helpfull.
The room was clean and comfortable,and the breakfast was nice and hot.

Fantastic place to relax and unwind lovely surroundings with a warm welcolme
We booked our stay at Treetops as a chance to relax, unwind and enjoy some quality time. The welcome was lovely and we were continually impressed with the cottage,facilities and surroundings we couldnt have had a more relaxing time and look forward to returning as soon as we can. Would highly recommend.

Peace & Comfort
Excellent two night stay - the room was very comfortable and provided all that one would want - importantly this included a radio of far more importance than the twelve foot TV.
The breakfast menu was extensive offering everything from the full monty to an excellent smoked haddock. The service was very friendly and without fault and was all that farmhouse hospitality should be.

Top-notch customer service
Needed to change a reservation at the last minute and got outstanding customer service. Otherwise, the site does what it promises. Slightly disappointed to discover that in many instances the toprooms price is the same as booking direct with the hotel, I thought it was always at least a bit less but obviously was mistaken. Also, we nearly didn't choose a particular hotel because the reviews on toprooms were predominantly negative. Luckily we checked TripAdvisor and saw many more positive reviews - we really enjoyed the place we chose, and it would be sad if others were turned off by the site-reviews.

Highly recommended
Have used Toprooms several times now as have always found a cheaper deal, even like for like, than certain other late booking websites. Website is easy to use, payments processed smoothly and never had any problems at the chosen accommodation.

Great B & B
This was our first visit to a b&b for over 30 years and we didn't know what to expect. We needn't have worried. Sandie was a fabulous hostess and nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel very welcome and the breakfasts suited us just fine - there was something on the menu for every taste.
