Just started using the service after years of a certain FX company; which meant communicating by email and waiting to long for the transaction to go through. Sometimes losing the rate and paying too much. Transferewise very quick and, in my experience, very competitive.
I am impressed with the transferwise transfer. It is really quick, comfortable. The team from transferwise is also prompt in communicating if any issue is encountered due to Banking legal rule of a specific country. They also provide you the options and make sure that your money is on track all the time.
This is unbelievably good compared to my previous experience with my bank !!!
Sending money with transferwise is like no other financial service. Not only are the rates very much lower than those of my own bank - which I have been banking with for 20 years! - but the transfers are quick and swift, no problem. I needed to send my ID for verification and it was verified and OK'd within the hour and the transfer was received THREE BANKING DAYS earlier than advised. I am recommending this service to everyone I can recommend it too :-)
For me being Dutch and working in Uk. It has been a very good experience to send money back and forth to Dutch accounts. At good rates and mostly takes no more than a couple of working days. is definitely trustworthy even if you send amounts over 5 K.
Very pleased with TransferWise and will use them again. All predictions as to when my funds would be available in the recipients account were overstated... they always arrive earlier than expected. 10 out of 10!
Yep, this is a low cost way of sending money abroad, and I'll continue to use it. We part-own a small place in Portugal, and so there are monthly maintenance/utility payments of varying amounts from around 50 Euro to maybe three times that, and it suits us fine. It took about ten minutes to set everything up and get the first payment winging on it's way. Not that quick end to end: unless you pay a bit extra for faster transaction, takes something like three days for the money to turn up at the other end. But to us this is no particular worry, so TransferWise is good for us, and I haven't found anything cheaper. Main gripe is with the website. I got stuck somehow in in one of the transfer windows and couldn't bail out. Eventually discovered the transferwise logo (!) was a link to get you back to your home page. Also, it seems to always appended your surname and first name to the reference you are sending over to the recipient bank, which to my mind is daft, as the reference is often used by automated processes to assign the incoming dosh correctly. You should be able to store a default reference, as you can with all other financial processes I've used. Also, the site is very very slow! So C'mon transferwise, get your act together: you've got a good product, don't spoil it by not paying enough attention to detail and having treacle-slow response times!
I'v sent money four times now. iPad app is good, process is simple. Money always arrives on time or before. Needed to contact costumer support due mistake I made. Response was prompt and helpful. Will use again and dare to recommend to my friends and everybody else.
