It was very easy to use.
Awesome!!!! Transferwise is saving me £240 per year... whats not to love? Try it and find out how simple it is... I'm just a regular person paying off an Irish loan, I'm not being paid for this review, I recommend Transferwise to all my friends.
Used this service for the first time last week after transferring money to suppliers in Germany via Moneybookers / Scrill for the last five years, who were reasonable until they decided to increase their prices by approx. 1,000% ... wish I had found this service sooner as it does just what it promises. Good, fast service, excellent exchange rate and no hassle. Will use it in future
They don't play around the commission, and try always to get and convert money with the best deal of the day.
I was able to get roughly 70 more euros than using any other solution, and money arrived straight to my Italian bank account.
Their staff available on chat is nice and well prepared, so well done guys. You've found a loyal customer here.
I made a transfer from Spain to England (2.000€) on Friday November 22th and arrived on Monday November 25th, TWO DAYS BEFORE THAT it was expected.
I only was charged with a comission of 3 (three) euros from my bank.
Sincerely TfW is worthwhile
I use a lot of small suppliers in the Eurozone, and wished to cut down on bank charges. I gave TransferWise a go, and our first 2 transactions have gone through without a hitch. Two happy suppliers, and now there is no barrier to making very small purchases from the Eurozone. Well done TransferWise!
The Screen is too complicated, if it was made simpler perhaps in terminology and function I am sure you would have more adopters. I don't know if it is possible but it should also allow the direct exchange between existing users, I think this would increase confidence and use...other than this excellent and highly recommended.
For decades banks have robbed me and now I have someone else I can trust to transfer my money at a sensible rate. Transferwise has been life changing, the best thing that has happened to me in years!!
1.did not get matched even though current market price was above my buy price and it stayed that way for hours and order did not get filled.
again after 5+ days, the market price went above my buy price and nothing happened. i feel that transferwise has worrisome liquidity which does not enable them to fill orders faster. only when i called did they act on the order and get me a fill.
2. previous few times that i have chatted with the customer reps, all they do is read from script/ cut-paste standard information. they do not have depth of knowledge to understand what i am saying and atleast convey it to their manager.
3.most importantly, the market price shown by transferwise does not match the market price shown at xe.com at that time (albeit by a small amount). i have been tracking GBP/INR for over a month now with transferwise.
4.website does not mention when (exact timestamp) my order got matched, so i cannot really go and check the market rate on xe.com to verify i got the right price.
aside from above items, the service has many good features.
I transfer money monthly to spain through my bank where the rates are terrible. Having read about tranferwise i decided to try it, was cautious at first just a small amount, but now plan to use it evey month, have worked out it will save me in the region of £550 a year.
Trasferwise helps me to manage my transfers in an easy manner. The service is customer focused and highly competitive with similar bank servises while the fees are much lower.
TransferWise is easy to use, offers by far the best exchange rates Ive seen for GBP to EUR, has lower fees than banks and transfers the money speedily. I particularly like being able to track progress. The information provided by TransferWise is timely, helpful but not at all intrusive.
OK, a couple more things: (1) I shopped around quite a bit before choosing TransferWise and found all the competition to be quite intrusive (forced to subscribe just to get a quote; started receiving spam-like information; bulletins, etc), but not TransferWise: they are both nimble and professional. (2) The first time I used TW I made an error (I missed out some bank details for the payee). The service from TW was impeccable - contacted within minutes by a real human being and, after supplying the missing information I later found it had already been stored with the payee profile for future use.
And I absolutely have no connection to TransferWise - other than as a very satisfied customer!
It just works. First time, every time. Without fail. It doesn't seem to matter how much you send, Transferwise gets it there in no time at all, at next to no cost. Cannot recommend highly enough - just wish I'd found them ages ago! Perfect.
Very helpful support service, which was good as I was moving a large chunk of money. I felt I could trust them as I am used to using Paypal for my business and that is always good for overseas sales. I got a much better rate than through the Bank.
I used the Trasnferwise service twice and it worked really well for me. The fees the banks are charging for transfer money to a different currency is insane and this way you can do it for much less. The only drawback for me is that you need to make the operation in two steps, instead of one. First you need to set up the transfer on the trasferwise website and after that make a transfer order via your usual bank. Even with that everything works well and pretty fast.
