I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S3 on April 26th, which according to the website was in stock. The order had "Order Processing" status until I contacted them on May 8th, and their customer service replied with "Your order is currently in queue and has every chance of being dispatched in the next couple of days." I contacted them again on May 10th to ask for an update and was told "Under the present conditions, dispatch can be expected early next week."
I contacted them again on May 14th to cancel the order - to purchase the item elsewhere - and their response was: "All appears to be on track. The good news though is that I have just spoken to our logistics team, and have managed to prioritize your order. we expect your order to be dispatch early next week or late this week, but will push for an earliest time to dispatch the item." So I was continually a "priority," with the item shipment date pushed further and further back. I have cancelled the order and it is currently in the process of being refunding (but this, too, is taking a very long time - three business days at the time of writing).
In summary, I cannot recommend this company due to its poor customer service and very slow way of dealing with things and shipping. The lies about the priority of the item and when shipping would occur was worrying.
After more then 1.5 mth of delay , this is what i get from reply; ( In regards to your query, Our logistics has suffered from severe backlogs due to influx of sales promotions.
However, when the backlogs were cleared and your order was ready to be dispatched, our logistics team noticed that the boxes were damaged and they notified the supplier and returned the shipment back to them. Unfortunately, the replacements are due to arrive next week. )
why don't you give me the reason now of the delay again next week, so that can safe me some time to cancel my order earlier !
Bought a camera in december , sent it back in February for repair.
Guess what , they take a month to send it to their HONG KONG repair center.
April 23rd STILL waiting for its return .
63 days and counting .
All you will get is constant fobbing off and lies of " it will be with you in 2 days "
Pay a little more and get your camera with a REAL warranty elsewhere.
buy here at your peril.

They did everything right & had a great price on my item.
i payed for my lens in 25.03.13 after a week i started to ask; when will it be dispatched. all i heard from them was give as few more days. in the end of April i asked if they can confirm my lens shipping date, all they could say was give as few more days. then i cancelled my order and i got my money back today in 13.05.13 so all together it took me 6 weeks. in one sentence i would say that:
value basket is a waste of time.

Très rapide, livraison expresse et emballage très bien fait.
Pas de taxe douanière à payer Valu Basket s'occupe de tout.

el lunes hice un pedido de un smartphone, y me he arrepentido y he hecho una cancelacion del pedido y quiero que me devuelvan mi dinero, la respuesta de ellos ha sido mandarme un correo con un enlace en el cual te metes y solo te salen unos codigos indescifrables, y si llamas por telefono te contestan en ingles, idioma que yo no domino porque soy española. como para la semana proxia no me hayan devuelto mi dinero me voy a molestar en ir ala policia y poner una demanda, aparte de poner anuncios en todas las redes sociales, en los mejores diarios y las mejores cadenas de radio. estoy muy arrepentida de comprar en evaluabasket

I am waithig for delivery for nearly 10 working days.
I cannot find email address to ask what's going on my order on thier Web pages.
I ordered a camera from Valuebasket on 14th April. I was told it would take a week to deliver. After more than a week, the camera still hadn't shipped. So, on the 25th April I asked for a refund.
The refund should have been received by 2nd May. No surprise that my credit card hasn't been refunded.
I have emailed and phoned Valuebasket several times over the past few days. All I get from them is a promise that my refund will be completed in the next 2 days which doesn't happen.
I would not recommend Valuebasket to anyone. I believe they don't intend to fulfill orders or refund any money at all. I will be contacting my credit card company to file a claim against Valuebasket

Eventually my refund did come through but it took 11 working days. I had to chase and chase for this. Making calls throughout the day, sending emails just to get this sorted out.
So, Valuebasket had my money for nearly a month without providing the goods and delaying my refund. There's something not right there.
I won't be using Valuebasket again and would advise everyone to stay well clear.

I ordered a camera on the 19th April and had guaranteed delivery in 7 - 10 days. I then came across allot of people unhappy with this company so I emailed them to check everything was ok and they said yes. Reading more negative reviews I got jittery and stepped up my email communications as i had to have the camera before I went on holiday. They assured me its fine and said my order has been upgraded to " expedited delivery " which meant it would get to me within the already promised time frame???? Anyway I read more reviews with some stating that they tell customers that their products are not in stock. So my next email checking the order process included a screenshot showing the product showing 5 in stock and that if theres any issues then please tell me and i can go elsewhere as i have a time frame. A day later noticed my order came up an issue, guess what... out of stock!!! So after they offered me a lesser camera (at a lesser price) I just had enough and demanded my money back. They said they would refund me. I then made it clear (again) that I had a deadline to buy a camera. They keep throwing me lines about online systems and the such, but all its done has left me with no money to get a camera and VERY angry. This is just not good enough, I feel I have been conned and know I'm out of pocket. One plus note - They email you back quick and politely. Would I recommend this company? Not even to people who annoy me, stay clear!

They want billing proof and all. When I have paid via my debit card why they need address proof? Same Day i purchased an item in E-bay and the product is already shipped. Here I'm being tortured to prove myself. Not having a good experience with the Company as of now.
Now the product status is" your order is approved", when the hell it will be shipped??? I need to gift this to someone special on special occasion. Are you going to deliver on time?

After considering a number of 'grey market' providers I found Value Basket had generally good reviews so took the risk (with a Credit Card payment) to order nearly £2000 worth of lens and teleconverter for my Nikon. I didn't even bother to track progress for 2 weeks as I expected it to take a while. I checked on Monday and found the goods 'Allocated' and would be shipped today dated 12 April. I phoned got through rapidly and was told sorry for delay they will be shipped very shortly. I was concerned. I checked reviews again and was very concerned given the very poor recent reviews. I checked today (Wednesday) and was pleasantly surprised to see the status updated to shipped (but didn't hold my breath). I was stunned and pleased when the goods actually arrived at lunchtime today.
So overall a good service just a shame I had to chase

I'm really worried about this. They keep saying in a couple of days but no luck. It's well beyond how long they said it would take.
Any advice? I spent almost £400 with them. Gutted :( :(
Under NO circumstances use this SCAM company
I placed an order for Canon DSLR 650d on 2 April. I write this review on 1 May and still not received my product. I canceled last Friday when after the umpteenth email I got a response that was clearly a template response which had 'xxxxxx' marked in places for the relevant date and product.
I am still waiting to get my money back and getting worried that this SCAM company are not going to fulfill this. I am contacting Trading Standards about them, and if I don't have my money by the end of the week am contacting my credit card company and the police.
I cannot understand any of the positive reviews.
Do not use this company.

My Samsung Note II took 2 weeks longer than advertised to arrive, however as soon as I let the company know I was worried about the delay ('my account' page never updated beyond 'order processing') they prompty replied with an update and the offer of either a full refund or expedited delivery.
Wish it had arrived earlier, obviously, but wass pleased with the response and, for a discount retailer, I felt their response was on a par with what I would expect from amazon etc.
Also did get the phone not long after and everything was fine :)
tried to buy a phone and ipod from this company, they promised delivery in 10 days,i phoned to cancel order they said I could not cancel by phone would need to email, I could not email I explained to them my pc was not working they said I could not cancel by phone so order would go ahead. phoned today 8th working day since order placed, they said I cancelled so order not dispatched. now will neither send the order nor refund my money. I don't know what the hell's happening onl;y that they have 450 quid of my money and I have zilch. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE LIARS, FRAUDSTERS AND THIEVES

If only I considered this website before ordering a phone from this company. I have waited over a month for a phone. As I chased I was assured that the phone would be delivered by priority however none forthcomming.
I am hoping to receive a refund.

Ordered some headphones on the 8th of April for my 7 year old daughters birthday on the 24th, taking into account their 10 day delivery window...spoke to them several times over the phone, each time they are 'prioritising delivery', yet here we are , still no headphones.
They don't respond to emails.
Trying to cancel and get my money back now, but this seems impossible to do.
Clearly, just like everyone else's' comments, this is a scam company. Do not use them, their website and business needs to be taken down. Will be contacting trading standards.
will never shop anywhere apart from amazon.com, they truly put customers first.

Placed order 11th April. Item stated in stock and 7-10 days delivery.
Order status has been at 'being made ready' for most of the time despite the fact that they have now told me it isn't in stock. I've had quick responses to all of my emails chasing delivery but you basically get fobbed off. New delivery dates promised have all been missed.
One reply said "There are just a few more formalities that need to take place and the then final quality check before it gets picked up by the delivery people. We always want ensure that our goods are properly bubble wrapped and packaged to absorb any pressure or disruption during transit to your destination. "
However after chasing again they tell me it's not in stock - proof that they are lying to their customers (as if the standard practise of putting bubble wrap in a parcel should cause a delay anyway!!)
Responses tend to be from a different person each time (I suspect they are all the same person under different names). I also suspect that any positive reviews on here are from those same 'different' people!
I would not recommend ordering from this company and will give them one more week before I cancel my order.
Me and my partner were very excited to be getting an iPad for our daughter. We placed the order at the very beginning of April, expecting it to be delivered within the 10 days stated on the website, as when ordered it said there were 5 in-stock! However, it is now the end of April and still no sign of our iPad!
I have sent numerous e-mails enquiring of a delivery date but I just keep being fobbed off and told it should be sent out next week but they can't state a precise delivery date as they don't want to fall through on a promise. I have been told twice that my order has been upgraded to expedited delivery for my inconvienience and they are including a free screen protector! I already have screen protectors and a case for our iPad, as I ordered those through Amazon, and that company sticks to its promised delivery times! So a free screen protector is of no use to me, I just want our iPad or a full refund, as £289.00 is a lot of money to anyone especially when you have nothing to show for it.
I was so regret that i trusted this website and having placed order for 2 lenses for my projects. Items were NEVER delivered after months and it caused great impact on my works.
I canceled the orders and successfully gotten my refund back in 1 week time. I guess i am the lucky one as i learned that some buyers are having problems with their refund.
My advice is to stay away from this fraud website and not to be impressed by the attractive price and commitment stated. What you will get from them are the frustration caused by template email reply and contradicting excuses but never the items you paid for.

My camera did not work. The UK returns address in the UK (Luton) is not accepting returns for Value basket. This is a Regis office and I am told that Regis have terminated their contract with value basket and the Trading Standards authorities are now involved. VB do not answer my e mails

I have the same problem as many over customer under garanty with valuebasket.com.
My phone was return on January to valuebasket.com, and I am still waiting for his return from Honk Kong today.
I need my phone for mid-May and if I can not get this phone, i considering filing a complaint to the Commercial Court for illegal procedure and commercial warranty abuse. It should not make fun of the world rather than it is now three months. In the future, never i will buy something on this site and i will make bad publicity.
Please, give me urgently my phone, and definitively repaired.
Please respect your customer.
Surely the price indicated are cheaper than those in retail store but once you place an order the product just wont arrive. 10day? It almost 20 days now and "your order is being made ready". When I spoke to the hotline, they promised me that the product will be delivered the following week. But NOTHING!
If you can't deliver than just return back the money to your customers, dont give empty promises!!
Since I put my review on the system yesterday and after a lot of phone calls the Asus tablet finally arrived today Only one problem, this is an American model not the UK one so plug needs an adaptor.
Would I buy from this company again? Probably not as I now have to buy an adaptor and I am not sure about the warranty if anything goes wrong. I do not fancy sending this back to Hong Kong., especially looking at some of the other reviews on this procedure below!!
However, given that it did arrive at last I improved the rating (but only slightly!)

The performance of this company is disgusting. No commitment to promises or deadlines. Constant fobbing off with generic and standard poorly written and contradictory responses. Funds were debited at point of sale - absolutely no sigh of the product. Likely to be making a claim on my credit card as this transaction is giving me the confidence associated with fraudsters.
I wish i had seen this review page at the time as its been a while since i used this company but neverless i will leave my feedback now!!!
Back in september i placed an order for an ipad for a birthday on the 29th november thinking i wanted it erly never did i imagine it would arrive on the 27th novemeber lol...
The replies and countless emails and general fobbing off by ADMIN staff were just terrible. they had my cash for ten weeks with an estimated original date of 10-14.. they got the order wrong to begin with then sold me a case that wasnt in stock (which didnt get refunded until after the tenth week too lol)..
They promised a free gift by way of compensation which never materialsed and when questioned about tHAT WAS NEVER REPLIED TOO!!!
over 100 emailes to them and probablly 20 different names eventually replied..
I can honestly say that i have never dealt with such an inept company in all of my life!!!
I have never sought a forum such as this until this happended.. Disgusted wouldnt even come close..

I was excited by value basket, and gladly placed my order after reading many good reviews (which I now regard as dubious). I waited and I waited. Their website says orders are dispatched within 3-5 business days, then delivery in 7-10 days.
2.5 weeks after ordering, I keep getting similar responses saying that it will be dispatched next week (and it is Monday today, so more than another week). That was what I was told a week ago, so I was expecting dispatch this week.
Other emails contradict what they have told me before. I'm starting to think they have a range of standard replies that they cycle through, usually not answering specific questions that you ask. The latest excuse is too many orders and stock being allocated on a first come basis, yet when I ordered the camera it said there were four in stock, now the website says six in stock, so I cannot see how this excuse is valid.
The upshot is that I don't trust Valuebasket.com to have the camera to me before we go away, so I have just cancelled the order. I just hope I can get a refund very soon so I can place a new order with a company who actually carries through on the promises they make.
UPDATE: It is now one week since I cancelled my order. When I cancelled it, I said that if I didn't get a quick refund, I would go to the Police, MasterCard and the Trade Commission (which I would have, and still might). I cancelled last Monday, and have my refund. The night I cancelled, I went online and found the same camera at another company (also in Hong Kong) through Ebay.com.au. This camera was the same but NZ$60 cheaper and included a case, 16gb SD card, a card reader and a screen protect as free gifts (plus an adapter). I ordered and paid last Monday night, and today (the following Monday) it arrived in perfect condition with everything included). I find it ironic that this company could get me the enhanced and cheaper camera from Hong Kong in one week (and NZ isn't as easy to deliver to as UK or US and I'm not in the main city!), something that was apparently too hard for ValueBasket.
Placed an order in March, my daughter needed this camera for an exam. Ordered in plenty of time for the 10 day delivery time specified. Money taken from her account which she has been saving since Christmas. To date no camera. I have spoken to customer service several times over the last three weeks, who assure me the camera will be shipped "by the end of the week" guess what! It hasn't! What a joke....not even simple to get your money back. Customer Service can't help you with anything they just revert you back to the webite. Disgusted. First thing Monday morning I will be contacting Trading Standards, The Police and Visa re this company as I can only assume this is some sort of scam.
