Cannot be recommended.

Received item was faulty.
Return for refund was requested in line with the "14 day money back guarantee"
Returned item was received by them in HK 20/1/2014
Refund still not received 8/4/2014.
Repeated polite requests are met by "stonewalling" with meaningless responses that give no indication of any other action being taken nor of any likely resolution of the issue.

The purchase, Delivery, and supporting information was very good.

I purchased through ValueBasket.co.nz but the delivery was from ValueBasket.com.
As a consequence the delivery time indicated seemed long as I thought the product
was already in NZ. Once I realised the product was being forwarded from HK the delivery time was good. That situation could clarified earlier to avoid confusion.

Very, very happy :)

I’ve ordered a Nokia Lumia 1020 from Value Basket on Tuesday the 1st of April. For the first few days the status was “We are arranging stock for your order. Dispatch can be expected within a few days.” Then on the 4th of April the status changed to “Stock has been allocated and will ship within 1-2 days time." Only a few hours later I got an email, that my order has been selected for upgrade to priority processing and shipping. An hour later the status changed to “Your order was picked up by our courier and will be with you soon”. In the email I also received my tracking number for Toll Global Express. Well, my new phone arrived yesterday on the 7th of April. Correct phone, correct colour… everything perfect. I’m very happy and will definitely order with Value Basket again.

Brilliant

The order was a few days late but there was very good communication all the time down to the delivery day. Very good experience, tempted to visit Valuebasket again, if necessary. Good luck to them.

Servizio pessimo

Ordine effettuato a febbraio, dopo un mese lo stato era ancora inevaso.
Inizio a chidedere spiegazioni via email e mi rispondono che "a causa di un grande flusso di richieste l'ordine è in coda, ma con priorità".
Chiedo tempistiche e non sono in grado di darmele.
Aspetto ancora e mi fanno sapere che a causa di un errore l'articolo non è più disponibile (?!?!?!).
Mi propongono altro acquisto di pari valore o rimborso, scelgo quest'ultimo.
Mi assicurano che in 10gg riavrò i soldi; ne passano 18 ed ancora non ricevo nulla.
Oggi stesso ho scritto e mi assicurano di aver dato priorità al mo rimborso (questa l'ho già sentita) e che in max 3-5 gg riavrò i miei soldi in conto.
Se andiamo oltre inizierò a muovermi per vie legali ...
Sinceramente non comprerò mai più da loro ...

Honesty would go a long way - don't say you have stuff in stock when you don't!

I have had to wait nearly a month for my goods which came from the USA.
All you had to do was say that it would take 24 days for you to source the goods because the Americans had them here in 2 days!!!
The product was worth the wait but I would rather have paid the extra few dollars and had the goods so much sooner.

VALUE FOR MONEY GREAT PRODUCT INVENTORY

I have purchased a few things now from value basket and my shopping experience has been one of ease. I think their service is top notch with periodic emails along the way containing updates about your purchase. The only thing that I think is missing is a tracking system on purchased items to see their current destination. Receiving emails about it's current whereabouts is helpful but I like to be able to see it's location via a tracking tool.

i ordered sony mobile phone which been delivered with in a week.
Didnt face any problem in shipping.The only problem i faced my sim card wasnt working in the cell phone den i contacted the customer care team all problem sorted out very kindly.I gonna keep valuebasket as my first option for buying stuff.
I saw very bad reviews about site but i will say dont go on that reviews.The service i have got i dont think other company can provide me .

Ordered 2 items in a short period of time, both arrived very quickly and in perfect condition.

I had never heard of Value Basket prior to using them. Ordered two items and must admit was worried about some of the negative comments I saw but still received everything in perfect condition.

Would have no reservations in using them again.

great price easy to contact

i bought a camera from value basket and the price was very good it took a few days to show any sign of shipment and after 1 week the camera arrived and cannot fault the communications with customer service they were very helpful

Aweful, useless.

Ordered a product from them not realising the company is based in Hong Kong, so firstly items take a long time for delivery. They state on average delivery takes 6-9 days, however on occasion 30 days. For me it was nearer 30 days.

The main problem has been after the delivery, the product (Canon 5D MK3 DSLR) was faulty so tried to return it for repair or replacement under their warranty. Everything is done through emails, and a strange online ticket system, sometimes it took quite a while for ValueBasket to respond, other times quickly, but repeating an earlier message. I told them the issue multiple times, and never got a helpful or related response, eventually they responded with an address and somewhere for me to send it. At first they did not want me to send the item to them. This process took a whole week.

This does not end there, having now sent them the item, a month and a bit later, apparently they still have not received the item. Their base in the UK received it quickly, but somewhere between sending it from their UK Depot to the repair centre in Hong Kong, it has possibly got lost, they do not want to admit this yet, so currently there is an ongoing investigation into the whereabouts of the item, and they are trying to speak to their couriers to find the item, this so far has taken about 2 maybe 3 weeks (to angry to check at the moment as fear it may be more). Meanwhile I am sitting waiting, having to hire cameras to cover this while it is gone. Every time I call I get told I will receive an answer by the end of the day or the next day, I never hear anything.

Their Customer service team are friendly, but useless, as they have no power to do anything, but no one in the company seems to be allowed to make any decisions.

I have already put many people off buying from ValueBasket.com , and I would advise everyone to go somewhere else. They are useless. Do not buy from valuebasket.com

Process was friendly and efficient from beginning to end

We were kept up to date at every stage of the order. We were very happy with the service and the price!!! We must also mention you carriers-DPD they were brilliant! We were kept informed at every stage and could even book our preferred delivery place and time online. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

Highly not recommended

Order nr 201343 - 443457 placed on the 24th of March for Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 T520 (black). It was priced at 311.99 GBP at that time and I paid straight away using my MasterCard. My card is run by UK bank HSBC, so it should be debited in Pound sterling. To my surprise when I checked statement two days later it was charged in foreign currency PLN (Polish Zloty) and the amount was 1617.02 PLN - that was equal to £321.45 plus I was charged NON-STERLING transaction fee of £9.61. Totaly I had to pay £331.06 - so £19.07 more than price on their website. Tried to contact customer service about that and was asked following:

So I did and got another response :

Few banks have other fees when you are using your credit card to purchase online such as exchange rates/transaction fees/bank-to-bank charges. Rest assured that the price you see on our website will be the only amount that we will charge to your card. We kindly suggest you to contact your bank with regards to the extra value added to your purchase price.

All future customares please be aware, even when you pay for item with an UK Credit or Debit card they can still do it in other currency rather then pounds and you will get extra charges that are not mentioned on valuebasket website.

Valuebasket replied below with the same nonsens answer. Why did they charge me in a foreign currency ?
Nobody knows who works there. Why my card was not just charged in GBP, again nobody knows.
They did not even understood my negative feedback here and just posted "explenation" which does not resolve anything.

Again avoid.

GREAT SAVINGS TO BE HAD AT valuebasket.com

just purchased a nikkor lens for my Nikon camera at less than half price.
delivery took 8 days but was included in the price,well worth the wait.
