The camera and lens kit is first rate, yet affordable. Delivery was very quick and easy to track.
This has been one stressful experience. I used value basket who clearly spend a lot on paid search as they come up quickly to order a nokia lumia on the 15th november and was told it would be dispatched within 3-5 days delivered in 10 max. The order still wasn't dispatched after 2 weeks so I cancelled and was told to give it a few more days which seemed a stretch given that it wasn't even posted at that time. I was fobbed off and told my order had been escalated which it clearly hadn't. Fobbed off with more emails, eventually had enough so cancelled to be told my funds would be in my account in 2-3 days, then 7 days then it still hasn't been sent but they will do soon. It seems they make their money on keeping yours and not fulfilling anything. I've reported them to watchdog after sending an email about the sale of goods act which seemed not to phase them, in fact they responded to say they would refund me but still to give it 7 days, it's been weeks. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN will I use this ridiculous company. It's christmas time and they think it's ok to keep hundreds of pounds of my money with no real time frames as to when they will return it. Please don't put yourself through this and share this experience.

A pesar de leer opiniones negativas en internet quise arriesgarme y comprar en value basquet. Hice el pedido y recibí en tres días el articulo (smartphone) en lugar de los 10-14 dias que me indicaron.
Recibí el segundo día un correo en el que me indicaban que como politica para mejorar el servcio y por el mismo precio mi pedido lo habían enviado como urgente!!
La verdad es que estoy muy satisfecho hasta ahora con el servicio y con la rapidez en la recepción. En todo momento supe el estado en el que se encontraba la mercancía gracias al seguimiento online. El producto se ajusta a lo que pedí y estoy a la espera de probarlo.

I ordered a phone from this company on the 18th September 2013. I was lured by how professional the website looked so I confidently placed my order. If only I had read the reviews on Trustpilot (not the obvious fake ones).
By the end of September no phone had arrived. All the excuses given to the many unhappy people who have reviewed on here have also been given to me. I have now requested a refund and guess what...I am now being given the same excuses again regarding ValueBaskets refund procedure that are being given to the many people reviewing ValueBasket on this site too.

I was given the option of a refund via bank transfer. I was initially sceptical but decided to provide my bank details. I'm happy to say that 6 days later my money was refunded. In fairness to ValueBasket they did reply to every message i sent them and it eventually paid off, it's such a shame that the whole process took so long.

4 days after ordered I expected the camera to be shipped already since in website and confirmation email they stated they would ship in 2-4 days. The status in my account is still "Your order has been approved" never changed. So I started to search for website review and found many bad reviews here... this is so scary, first experience buying online in Singapore now I guess have to count on my luck... buying it for my dad's for his upcoming birthday present really hope it would arrive in time and I won't have to request for refund.....yes they charged the debit card already too...
Status: sent email to costumer service and got the automatic reply waiting for their proper reply. I'm giving they 3 stars first, still have some hope...
Value Basket will take your money, then tell you they cannot fulfill the order.
They will then say they cannot process your refund.
Stay away from ValueBasket, unless you like working with your bank's Card Services department to claim a fraudulent refund as having to do now.
I placed an order with value basket but cancelled within 12 hours. I emailed and called requesting my refund but to still no luck. They just feed me the same crap that they do everyone else. Today i gave them 48hours to return my money or I go to my bank. But after reading this thread im going straight to my bank now. I will also notify authorities. As this is theft.

Stumbled across Value Basket when looking for Bose ear phones. Easily the best prices to be found, so a great result from my perspective. Feedback on the product was also excellent, and gave me the confidence to buy on line.
Once the on line sale was complete, the Value Basket team have been very professional in their communication, so I am able to track delivery after advice that my purchase has been despatched. Nice to deal with this level of efficiency.

I bought a camera for £250 from them for my holiday. It never arrived. After 3 weeks of promises and "being moved up the Queue" I asked for my money back.( To be honest I do not think they ever had the camera). I was promised a full refund but never got one. E mail after e mail and all I got was things like "your refund has been escalated to the accounts team" and "we are working with our partners to expedite your refund". All empty promises and do not even try to phone them, I phoned about 15 times and they only answered once. That's when you find its a company in Hong Kong and will not do anything on the phone bar sell you stuff. After 6 weeks I had to go through my bank to recover the money. What ever you do, do not use these people.
I advise you NOT TO TRUST THIS COMPANY they have precedent for taking your money and running. For more information I have summarized my experience below which is ratified with other reviews I have read since making the mistake of purchasing through Value basket.
I ordered a Samsung III from Value basket on 15 September 2013 with advice on the selling page that there were products "in stock now". I made the payment on 15 September and received order confirmation that included advice that the product would be delivered in 10-14 days.
By the 8th of October I had contacted value basket 3 times to confirm delivery and had been told that my order would be "given priority". On 8th of October the value basket customer service team advised that my product had still not been shipped but would again "be given priority". The empty promises of 'priority', mal administration and buck passing between Value basket departments resulted in me cancelling my order and requesting a refund on the 8th of October.
Now, the 26th of November following a tedious period of ongoing correspondence with 3 separate representatives of Value basket (non of them supervisors as requested) I am still awaiting return of the money sent to value basket on 15 September. The correspondence outlines a line of excuses and empty promises with absolutely no indication of action or intention to refund my payment.
I have been advised at different times of "oversights and human errors" of both the shipping department and accounting areas which have resulted in the payment not being made. Each time I have contacted the accounting department I was advised the payment would be sent in "two or three days" yet no payment has been forthcoming - my last correspondence was on the 9th of November some 17 days ago.
I have now started seeking legal advice regarding refund of money for goods not received and am pursuing this matter through my financial institution in hope of some reasonable resolution.
This organization is at the very least dubious and maintains poor administrative practices that are not in compliance with consumer law or even their own policies. My experience has shown that contact with them is met with rhetoric and false promises.
Any consumers considering a purchase with this company should BEWARE.. Your hard earned hundreds of dollars may just end up in a black whole like mine.
I have finally been refunded my 399 euros after cirka 1 week. After being contacted by Skrill that they have had problems with the payments shows that ValueBasket is not to blame for everything.

Keep contacting them because it is clear that they may have organizational problems or something. In the end I got my money but I still had to contact different authorities and my bank for chargeback as an plan B. I have now withdrawn my actions towards them.
So ValueBasket kept their word and were during the process answering me on every mail I had sent to them. Within a maximum of 1 day.

Je suis très satisfait de mon achat sur ce site. Bien qu'ayant des doutes quant à son service (j'ai parcouru terrifié les avis négatifs s'accumulant sur les sites de consommateurs recommandant chaudement de ne pas y commander ...), ma commande à été expédiée rapidement (commandée le lundi soir, expédiée le vendredi) et j'ai finalement reçu mon téléphone une semaine après (lundi dans l'après-midi). Ma commande à même été placée en livraison prioritaire (sans doute suite à mon avis d'annulation si ma commande dépassait 5 jours ouvrables comme ils l'annoncent) ! J'y retournerai peut-être pour mon reflex !
In data 09/11/2013 ho acquistato un obiettivo canon su Valueasket.it, approfittando di un prezzo veramente competitivo.
Alla conferma dell'acquisto mi dicono che gli ordini sono spediti in genere entro 5-7 giorni e consegnati entro 7-10 giorni lavorativi e che quando spediscono inviano una mail con i riferimenti per monitorare la spedizione.
Nel frattempo ho iniziato a navigare su internet alla ricerca di recensioni.....
Ladri, truffatori, frode, proposte di denunce alla polizia postale.... Di tutto e di più,in negativo ovviamente! Potete immaginare la mia ansia... nonostante tutto decido di aspettare i 10 giorni lavorativi prima di scrivere o muovermi in qualche modo.
Oggi in data 25/11/2013, con un giorno di ritardo, il mio obiettivo è arrivato, ben impacchettato e funzionante, mediante corriere DHL e ho anche potuto monitorare tutta la spedizione!!
Non ho voluto mettere 5 stelle per il giorno di ritardo, comunque il mio giudizio è sicuramente positivo considerando che spediscono da Hong Kong!!!

Il 1 novembre ho ordinato un telefono, non ricevendo nessun avviso di spedizione entro i termini indicati (7 - 10) preoccupandomi di aver perso i soldi, ho inviato delle email che hanno sempre ricevuto risposta ed indicazioni riguardanti la preparazione dell'ordine.
Mercoledi 20 novembre ho ricevuto email dell' avvenuta spedizione con relativo numero per poter essere tracciata sul sito del corriere.
Venerdi mattina ho ricevuto il mio telefono ed all' interno della confezione c'era anche un regalo per scusarsi del ritardo.
Ottima anche la consegna da parte di D.H.L. : e gentilissimi dal call center.

Alla fine facendo due conti ho deciso di prenderlo lo stesso , e mi è arrivato in una settimana. Dopo due giorni stavo già chiedendo al servizio clioenti se il mio pacco fosse partito, e loro mi hanno detto di sì, che hanno un nuovo sistema di consegne e senza intoppi.

iPhone ordered and paid for on 23rd October, with 2 in stock. Stock situation even improved a few days later, with 6 in stock. But they never shipped within the quoted time frame (didn't have any stock) and of course, I did not receive the phone until yesterday, 21st November and not in the 7 - 10 business days they quote. It was a couple weeks late which normally I would not be too fussed about, except that all the negative reviews on this site made me more than nervous.
In my dealings with them, there was good, and bad.
They replied promptly to every email enquiry. I may not always have been happy with the response, but they did make an effort to respond quickly. I appreciated that. Whilst most replies were stock standard, they did actually address specific questions individually when I asked them.
When they finally did have the phone in stock, they posted it will TOLL couriers. I have read poor comments on that service but in my case, it was exemplary: posted in Hong Kong on 19 October at 6pm, and arrived at my door on 21st October at 2pm in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
The phone is exactly the one I ordered and even though I had concerns that it may not have been covered by warranty in Australia, I immediately searched the serial number on the apple website and yes, it's covered by warranty in Australia.
The price was about $62 cheaper than the apple website and that included delivery.
The iphone was well packaged in a new kind of protective plastic air-filled casing which was very secure.
Advertising stock they obviously don't have, and taking the money immediately.
At the time of ordering, Apple was quoting 2 - 3 weeks delay on delivery, and seeing ValueBasket claimed to have 2 in stock, I bought there.
You won't get a straight answer when you ask for a definitive delivery date. Just lots of apologies, and appeals for you to be patient. And some of their reasons why the shipment has been delayed are less than plausible (i.e. to ensure the shipment is properly bubble wrapped).
To move things along, my husband decided to visit their Melbourne offices, in an effort to get some straight answers. The address they show on their website is for 'virtual office space' which is unattended. They obviously only rent these 'virtual offices' to give their company some credibility.
Would I deal with them again? It would have to be a damn good deal. Maybe then I would. I'd just have to be prepared to wait a lot longer than they say.
As per the thousands of other reviews (I should have looked here before ordering) I too was lured into the trap of ordering items that were never delievered. weeks later I have finally managed to get my refund, after a dozen emails.
This site is obviously a scam where they list items they pretend to sell (but never do) and then make a tidy profit off those that don't follow through with threats of bringing in the bank and or the police. Thankfully they do refund those that are willing to go through weeks of requests and eventually theatening to go to the authorities, but I imagine a decent percentage of the their customers never do, and this is where they make their money.
It's a nice little scam they have running, no need for stock or anything, just a website and a credit card machine and keep the money from those that don't go through the dozens of steps to get a refund for products they ordered that were never coming.
Smart business model, no over heads and easy money.
There a lots of stories about poor service from value basket here and problems with refunds. We don't know if any of those people eventually get refunds and don't bother to come back here or not so I thought that I'd say I eventually got my refund after an experience similar to that described by others here.
I ordered a camera before heading off on an extended holiday. I wasn't shipped in the stated usual time and after a few email and promises of extra bonuses like better shipping I cancelled my order. It took several days with several email as they offered me more and more bonuses not to cancel. I should say that when I bought the camera elsewhere worldwide stocks were low according to the second supplier as it was effectively in run out hence the good price so maybe Valuebasket weren't totally at fault..
So 3 weeks after I made my order it is cancelled. It took another 3 weeks and many emails to receive my refund. After 2 weeks I contacted my credit card company about starting a disputed transaction process and emailed Valuebasket telling them. The day before the CC company got back to me to get the wheels turning I got an email from Valuebasket saying that the refund had been made. 2 days later the refund was there. Whether the process prompted the CC company or not I'll never know.
It was frustrating but in fairness to Valuebasket they kept their word in the end.
