I've been unable to receive calls, send or receive texts, or use data for three weeks - since adding their new two-in-one sim offer. Their customer services have been unable to fix the problem. I even went to their office in Docklands and sat in reception until a customer services manager came out and promised to send me a new SIM. Nothing ever arrived. I eventually gave up and asked for my pac code to leave them. They said they've been unable to provide my pac code due to further "technical problems", but I suspect they were just delaying while they used me as guinea-pig for their 2-in-1. After many days and around 50 calls to their customer services, speaking to perhaps 10 different people, I finally got my PAC code tonight. But suddenly over £20 has disappeared from my Vectone account. I have only called customer services in the past few days which is free. My bank account was not refunded. So I have another day arguing with their customer services to look forward to tomorrow. I am in hell. I'm a savvy shopper and love a bargain, but please heed my warning: Vectone are well beyond any level of dreadfulness of any organisation I have ever dealt with, and would be poor value if free. They don't give a damn about Ofcom regulations, and are borderline criminal. Devils be here, stay away.
in a nutshell: * terrible customer service *limited reception on internet and calling *difficult to set up settings *terrible customer service *incompetent in billing *will cut your line off with no notice for more than a week.
I have vectone sim card and after top up with 30 pound I tried to make international call and it always give the same msg ( you credit is not enough to make call to such a desination) I called customer service 10 times but they were very stupid to fix it and sometimes even rude. Finally, thier sim card now in the trash for collection. this is the worst provider I've ever seen and it is shame to be working in the UK.
I suggest to all of Vectone Mobile customers to double check their Direct Debit charges in December 2013. They've charged me twice for 2 phone numbers for the same amount at 17th and 23rd of December. I contacted them via email at 23rd and still haven't got money back. All they said that they will come back to me within 48h. Today is 1st of January and I still haven't got my money back...
Went to sign up with Vectone but in a way glad I stopped. For one when you sign up and it asks your card number / bank information the page seems to be unencrypted, so anyone can see it. Wrote to support by email got no response, rang them directly and when it said connecting to a customer service rep I just got loud static noises. By all means if you want a cheap network go for it, but if you have a problem just remember support is non existant and be careful of no SSL (at time of writing).
Have been with vectone for 2 years now. I must say that they have consistently given the best possible mobile deals in the UK. There have been some glitches in CS which recently they have tremedously improved.
If you really want to save on your mobile bills and have a great flexibility to call cheal anywhere in the world go for vectone.
