I had laser eye surgery at the Visualase laser clinic in Bolton. The Visualase team assessed my eyes incorrectly, and they gave me a standard treatment instead of a custom treatment. The aftercare was of a poor standard, and when I was experiencing problems, the staff were quite rude, especially the clinic manager Hilary Smith. The clinic is owned by Stewart Clough, the surgeon who damaged my eyesight is Dr Stephen Doyle. I have raised a formal complaints regarding my situation.
I had to pay another surgeon (Mr Sheraz Daya - a real expert) to perform a serious corrective procedure on my right eye, due to all the problems I have. This was not a laser procedure but involved stitches in my cornea. The entire experience at Visualase has been the worst of my life. I cannot begin to tell you how much you need to avoid laser eye surgery all costs. If you value your eye sight, please stick with your glasses. At the very least, pay extra and go to a real expert to be assessed.
I pray whoever reads this, is in good health and remains that way. Take care of your eyesight, it is so valuable and you would only appreciate it, once it is lost.
