The courier firm used was dreadful. What should have been a simple scheduled delivery turned out to be a complete farce and broken promises. They even forgot to put the item in their delivery van, despite this the driver turned up at our house and then looked very sheepish. The courier company was only contactable by a mobile number which was switched off after about 6pm and their message box was full.
Wayfair constantly pestered me for feedback and reviews, despite the fact I asked to be unsubscribed and removed from their mailing list. Well - here's your review.
Going on the experience I had, I would recommend people go elsewhere if they want a positive buying experience.
After trying several bed companies, i discovered a very reliable one that is customer-friendly and always on time - WAYFAIR. The company might not be that BIG, but it has got what it takes to attract and keep potential customers. Give them a trial and you won't ever regret doing so. I didn't. I will fully recommend them anytime.
I was let down by another bed company. Wayfair went way beyond the service I was expecting to get me the same bed delivered within 48 hours of my first call. I was blown away by the level of customer service I received and would recommend Wayfair unreservedly!
I've just bought this great glass pedestal cake stand from Wayfair.co.uk. They have so much great stuff on their website and the delivery is really quick.
The stand turned up 2 days after ordering, was well packaged and looks great. I've used it twice already to display 5 tier wedding cakes and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and Wayfair to anyone.
I'm really impressed with Wayfair. Bought 2 things so far- they have a MASSIVE range of stock and site is really easy to use. The first item was great, the second item I had a problem with but customer service resolved it really quickly. Will continue to shop here and recommend to friends and family.
Wayfair will do everything to rip you off! First they tell you it's free shipping, BUT if you return it then they will charge you for the supposedly FREE shipping - what a joke!!! Second, I found one of my identical items on Amazon for $30.00 less - WAYFAIR RIPS PEOPLE OFF!!!
Ordered on a Wednesday for Friday delivery.
Not delivered Friday so they offered a Saturday delivery.
Not delivered on Saturday so they offered a Tuesday morning delivery.
It's finally due for delivery on Tuesday afternoon - and not in the morning as promised.
Customer service were friendly when I contacted them it has to be said, although they didn't manage to get the item delivered when they said it would.
I purchased a fire-pit table and garden chairs from Wayfair. This was my first purchase from them. The goods arrived really quickly, delivered by two friendly and helpful chaps. Everything was extremely well packaged so no fear of transit damage. After assembly of the products, there turned out to be a problem with the stone lid for the fire pit table. I emailed Wayfair late on the Friday evening, I had a very polite and friendly response on Saturday morning asking for a few more details. These I gave and had an immediate response back telling me they would order another stone lid. The replacement arrived on the following Wednesday. Extremely fast and efficient service and I am one very happy customer.
I have made a purchase online on Monday with Wayfair. It indicated approximate dispatch date on Wednesday, and indeed I have received the goods two days later on Wednesday afternoon. Fantastic delivery service and product arrived nicely packed ! Highly recommend purchase on this website. I will definitely use them again.
Was a little dubious about ordering from here following some dodgy reviews on here but I ordered anyway as the tv cabinet was perfect for what I wanted. Ordered monday night and arrived thursday on normal shipping. Build quality was superb, worth every penny. Couldnt fault the company or the product, would recommend to anyone, don't be put off by the bad reviews. I will be using them again.
Had bedroom furniture delivered. Delivery was sooner than I expected. The 2 chaps who delivered it were very prompt and courteous throughout. Furniture is good value too. Would recommend despite the other feedback I had read. Most of the problems seem to have been with the carrier rather than the company but I had no problems whatsoever.
Awful customer service bordering on moronic.
Numerous lies told about stock and price throughout the order process, let the order go through then 5 days later cancelled it with no explanation

We had a problem with a faulty light but had no packaging to return the old one. No problem... New one delivered almost immediately without asking to return the old one. Massively impressed and thoroughly recommend. Very happy customer who will be a customer for life.
Over 6 weeks ago I ordered 2 bedside drawer units. Didn't get them at marked delivery day so I phoned tesco direct to ask what happened. Tesco send me back to wayfair because that was there order, so I phoned them. In wayfair customer service nobody even knew about me. No name or address, no traces of order. Had to forward an email from tesco to confirm my order. Week after had to do it again because was no answer and story was exactly the same. Another week odd of waiting. Nearly 2 weeks ago I received and email saying that the refund had been issued and I can expect money in 10 days. The day had come yesterday and guess what?! No money. Phoned them again and they told me again the same story. Something happened that they are not able to explain. The will investigate and they will get back to me!!!

Wanted to order a pancake pan so contacted the company to ask if they actually had this in stock. They confirmed by return that it was in stock. I ordered it immediately and was advised delivery would be made within 10 days. Then, around the time it should have been delivered, they emailed me to say that there would be delay, again quoting a revised delivery date. That date arrived and the pan was not delivered. Contacted Wayfair to ask why it had not been sent, they merely said that it would be sent 'soon'. When asked why they initially said they had this item in stock, when clearly it was not, they simply ignored this question. Now realise this is just a ploy to get you to place an order and part with your money. Advised me a refund would only be made when they have confirmed that it has not been despatched - even though they apologised today for the fact that it had not been despatched!! Filed dispute with Paypal to get refund. Will NEVER EVER shop here again - take my advice and steer well clear of them.
I am so impressed with this company, I ordered a clock from them and it was £60 less than the exact same clock in John Lewis, I needed it quickly and they went out of their way to make sure I received it quickly (at no extra cost). I received excellent communication from Arno regarding its despatch and a tracking number as soon as the product had left their warehouse. The clock arrived well packaged and on time. Will definitely buy from Wayfair again and would recommend to anyone.
We were sent a mother and child uplighter (it arrived within 3 days of ordering), assembled it and switched on but after an hour the bulb failed, even though it was meant to last 1000 h. So, I emailed a complaint and suggested I was sent a replacement bulb. Within 2 days a whole new replacement uplighter arrived. So, I emailed to tell them they'd made a mistake and should I send it back. "No", they said "you shouldn't have been inconvenienced and in case the whole unit is defective, we have replaced it." I think this is first-class service.
I'm terribly disappointed from my first Wayfair experience as the order I received today is a pure disaster.
Let's start with a phone call from their help desk on Thursday the 25th in which their operator was checking the finishing of the desk and the bedside table as the details weren't for some reasons appearing in the order.
I confirmed the entire bedroom to be shipped in white and pink finish; the operator acknowledged the fact stating that it was clear from the bed and the wardrobe but her phone call was just to double check the selection.
Today the 29th of October we have received the packages. Parts of the packets were visibly damaged and as a result of this the most important part of the order, the mirrored door of the wardrobe is broken. The glass is cracked and a lot of piece are missing (perhaps lost in the tiny cardboard that is wrapping the item). No protective film was layering the mirror. Even Ikea that is renowned for their cheap stuff are used to wrap their glasses with such a protective layer.
For what I can see the mirrored door was exposing the mirror on the external side, thus making the glass easy to be broken because everything could bump into the external part of the packet during the storaging or loading/unloading operation.
As the total assembling process will require some time, I decided to give the easiest thing a go. So I unpacked the bedside table with a surprise: the finishing is white and taupe rather than white and pink ordered. Very frustrating indeed.
Because of the total discomfort, I decided to have a look at the desk ... same wrong finish.
Carrying on with the check, it looks the bed is fine at least, but what about the mattress support? How can the mattress be supported without wood slates or a metal midbeam?
I can't imagine the mattress to fly!!
On the order page anything was stated on this regard, so I assume the bed to come with everything except the mattress which clearly is not part of the order.
So in the end, out of 4 items, all of them are either wrong or broken which means I can't use at all.
I have already submitted a replacement order, but considering the situation I will be more than happy they to come and take everything away providing me with a full refund, which should include also the expense I imagine I have to pay for the courier to come here and take the items back.
The funny thing is that I decided to go for Wayfair as reading the review of another online shop, the latter was having wrong commentaries and reviews. So we decided to pay £40 more to be sure of a "proper" service. What a shame!!!
Ordered a oak bedroom set for my little boys bedroom. Delivery guys came to deliver and they did nothing but moan as they had to take upstairs. As the carpets are cream I asked them to take there dirty shoes off but due to HSE reasons they declined so they ended up putting plastic bags over there shoes. On carrying upstairs they took big chunks of plaster and made scrapes all the way up the stairs.When I pointed this out to them they said they where more interested in there hands. On reversing out of the property in the delivery van they desecrated the lawn by reversing over it and put 5"deep.As they had a few attempts at it the total length of these wide tyre tracks was 70feet long. Signed there delivery note as goods damaged and property wrecked. Contacted way fair 5 times and now over 2 weeks and nobody seems interested or has come back....disgraceful
I ordered some princess curtains from them and they took ages to arrive then when they finally got here there was only ONE. I complained that it is not clear on the website and they said "Well it does say CURTAIN and not CURTAINS"
Jesus above, how ridiculous. The curtain cost me £45 and to make another would cost £90. If I want to return thats £10
Have ordered a few things from Wayfair and they have arrived very promptly. I did try searching for a few other things (bathroom furniture/accessories) on their website only to discover that they don't actually sell the items - you can locate them using the menus and it shows pictures with the number of relevant items in brackets. When you click on it there is nothing there. I phoned up and was told that they don't sell the items.... managed to waste half an hour.
I ordered a Caxton display cabinet on 19/03/12 and was told the delivery will be on 5/04/12. As I did not get any notification for the delivery the day before, I called them and was told they couldn't do the delivery on 05/04/12 as there's a system error. Then I was told they would do the delivery on 11/04/12. Again, as I got no information on the delivery day, I called them and was told they couldn't deliver on 11/04/12 and will do on 12/04/12. On 12/04/12, I got a phone call from the deliver and was told the cabinet was booked in error, actually there was no such cabinet at their Delivery Depot they could deliver to me. What a mess! Completely outrageous! Where is my cabinet? How can people trust such terrible company? !

I ordered a bed from them, after calling first to check that they had it in stock
My original delivery estimate was fine, and I arranged for somebody to be in to receive it.
They then emailed me to say that there was a problem with the supplier: two days before I was due to receive it: and that my delivery would then be delayed by over two months!
Absolutely outrageous unprofessionalism, and the website is still showing that there are over 10 in stock.
If you can find the item you want anywhere else, for even close to the price then I would advise you not to use way fair as they are not to be trusted.
