Good transaction, but don't expect to understand shipping costs for combined orders
Having won an auction on the sister site, I decided to make the best out of shipping costs by also purchasing from the Web store. A quick phone call confirmed that was possible. However, upon checkout, shipping is due, as it is upon checkout on the auction site. What I was told to do is pay both and the difference would be refunded. For the goods from the shop, it is a flat rate up to a certain weight (ca 4£ up to 2kg). For the auction site, a different flat rate (ca 8£ up to 2kg). Both combined, still falling under the same weight category, a third rate, not indicated anywhere (ca 10£ up to 2kg). I discovered that on the invoice in the parcel. Although it is nice to be able to combine (auction results can be slim), more transparency around shipping costs would be welcome.
