Simply great
I would like to share my experience using Wimdu.
1) variety of places You can go - I think they have biggest appartment database ever seen. Thanks to them I can simply point my finger on map and decide where to stay. Of course I am looking for best cost effective offers and I can find it here.
2) superb support - Gergo Kalcsics is the best man! While I had small difficulties with booking apartment in Zagreb, Wimdu rewarded me with discount voucher. Then I could rent another apartment even more cost effective
3) payment - everything is clear, if the booking won't be finalized, they won't charge Your credit card.
I was in Croatia with Wimdu, now I am going to Amsterdam. And yes, I will book with them more more and even more!!!

Great website, Hassle-free booking !
We've booked through Wimdu for our vacations and have had very positive experiences. It is easy to navigate and reliable. Must mention the prompt and excellent Customer service we received from Wimdu.

Good selection :)
Traveling somewhere new is hard enough without having to stress about your lodgings. Wimdu's site offers a great way to find and experience something outside of the bread and butter tourist hotel... from luxury private flats to 4 bunk bed hostels, there's something for everyone. Just make sure to give yourself time to talk to your host before going - sometimes things don't always work out. That being said -- I am looking forward to the wimdu network's expansion :) There's not always a host available in the city you want to be in, but make sure to check wimdu first!

The best!
I want to share my positive experience with using Wimdu. The website is easy to navigate, even if you are a new user you could easily find what you need. With the budget i had, I was able to find a place that is nice and comfortable.
All I wanted in a flat was there...clean, not old, peaceful, good facilities, fully furnished and no issues with the piping and garbage. All in all I got this for a very reasonable price using Wimdu.com! I would definitely recommend this to my friends!

Excellent customer service
Over the course of my booking and booking changes Wimdu was there with very quick email replies to my queries. Even after issues were already resolved they were still emailing to ask if everything was okay.
I'm definitely going to use wimdu again!

Very good service from Wimdu
Everything was ok with WIMDU service but some homeowners who cancelled our booking some days before our trip so we had to start looking for another appartment. The Service was excelent from Wimdu, next Summer we are going to book another property through this page again.

THE BEST INVENT EVEN ;)
I do love travelling, and fortunately, nowadays the flighst are really cheap with all those low cost companies ... but there's always a problem with the place to stay.
In some cities / countries, if you want to sleep in a double room with your own bathroom, you have to spend a fortune! (or sleep with 34758943 people around you ;-)). So when I found Wimdu, I couldn't believe it was true.
the 1st time I used it (last summer in London) was a bit sceptical, honestly, such a nice room with ensuite bathroom, couldn't be so cheap, so I wasn't sure what I was going to find out .... and trust me, was even better than I thought.
Since that moment, I'm a huge wimdu fan, why to stay in hotels when you can get almost the same kind of rooms at half-price?
Also their webteam is lovely, they always answer the emails, and helped me with a problem with a book and was solved inmediately.

I'm a traveling musician, currently looking into the scene in Japan. With the high cost in Japan, Wimdu just can't be any better for someone like me. I had a great time in Fukuoka last year(with a great host) and I'm very much looking forward to my first Tokyo visit in couple of weeks, thanks to Wimdu! For the same price range as a CHEAP youth hostel, I can find numerous PRIVATE rooms with the extra opportunity to get to know the locals, which just makes you feel more at ease in the new environment. Thanks again and keep up the good work!

Easy and effortless
I booked a stay in Paris and the whole process was simple and easy. Thanks to the apartment/host reviews I quickly found several apartments that looked great. The online booking was fast and secure, the host contacted me ahead of time to make arrangements and the apartment was simply gorgeous! All in all, a very easy and pleasant stay! Looking forward to my next trip with Wimdu!

Excellent customer service!
An excellent experience, I recommend. The last time I went to Barcelona chose another site made four attempts to reserve an apartment the first three had no response, for Porto in Wimdu when I made the first reservation the owner refused, I received a call shortly to propose them another apartment cheaper and better located and spoke my language (Portuguese). Excellent customer service!

I booked my Hong Kong accomodation through Wimdu during peak season (christmas 2011). I got the best value for money deal at Wimdu vs. other websites like booking.com etc. and had a pleasant stay as well with my entire family. Wimdu verifies most of the accomodations which is very important and thus I trust Wimdu.

Good stay in Paris due to Wimdu
It is easy to book a private place in many cities and places through Wimdu. It is checked and you can find good value for money.
You experience how locals live and can stay with local people, which makes your trip a worthy experience.

Loving wimdu!
I used WIMDU to travel to Berlin last New Years and we had a perfect apartment in a nice neighborhood! Travelling is much cheaper this way and way more comfortable and special. Not giving it 5 stars (yet!) because sometimes the website isn't functioning the way it should (think: can not define neigborhoods, places outside the city I am looking are also in the search results). Definitely will book through WIMDU again :-)

Easy to Use
I used Wimdu to find a place in Hong Kong in Oct 2011. Was easy to use and there were no problems with the payment or the booking. The website still has some glitches/bugs in it that should be fixed to make it more user friendly, however this did not hinder my booking at all. I will definitely use this service again.

Wimdu - the best option for everyone!
WIMDU - The best option to find a cheap and nice place wherever u want. I was looking for some cozy and cheap bedroom in London and it took me 3 mins to find it on Wimdu. I was really pleased and thankful.

I found cheap apartment in Singapore, but unsuccessful. On the site Wimdu I found apartment in the Normanton park condo and was very glad, because I lived in similar apartment 1 years ago. Very nice place close to city center (transportation by bus or MRT-10-15 min). Thank's Wimdu for service. Vasily, Russia

so easy
Stumbled onto this site and decided to book through Wimdu for our stay in London.The variety of accomodation was fantastic and catered to all price ranges and types of rooms. We booked accomodation in North London and were very impressed with our host ,the location close to transport and shops was exactly as described. Ticked all the right boxes.There were a couple of very minor things and the host was greatful for the feed back.
How good to have a viable alternative to commercial, impersonal hotel accomodation
Will definately be using Wimdu next time we head overseas

Wimdu makes it fun and easy
The concept was totally new to me when I stumbled upon the Wimdu website last summer, while looking for places to stay in New York. I thought, let's check this out and see what happens. It was such a good experience, meeting local people, being able to pick the part in town where you temporary want to "live" made. It made using Wimdu for my round trip through the U.S. one of my biggest headlines. The service is so easy to use, and all goes very smoothly. Last month I had to cancel my room in London booked via Wimdu, and the cancellation was communicated and arranged in 15 minutes. I had my money refunded within 2 days. I am a big fan!

wimdu.com is such amazing! Excellent customer service at wimdu.com.. The website is customer-friendly. There are wide varieties of accommodations you can choose from, the rates are so affordable than hotels. You can book anytime of the day and can get confirmation immediately. :) The hosts are accommodating, friendly and nice. We really had a good trip. I rented 1 condo unit in the heart of Makati City in Manila, the unit was so perfect! It has a complete facilities. When Travelling Choose Wimdu
Wimdu is perhaps the best site I have come across so far while searching for accommodation overseas. It offers rooms with a wide range of prices. So expect to find cosy rooms located in prime areas- well suited for the adventurous solo traveler, to luxurious suites for you honeymooners. Rooms on offer usually include amenities such as a washing machine, kitchen, WiFi and television, all situated within walking distance of public transport.
Personally, my stay was further enhanced by the friendliness and generosity of my host. I really appreciated how she went all out to ensure I was comfortable, even providing a humidifier when I mentioned how dry the air was. She took me around some lesser known areas which made it all the more unforgettable.
All in all, Wimdu makes travelling possible for those on a tight budget like myself without sacrificing safety and the unique experience of life as a local.

Good for areas where Airbnb hasn't penetrated
Interface is still inferior to Airbnb, however. Also users in Brazil generally have no experience with such sites and are very unreliable.

One of your best choice to travel
We have been using Wimdu for a couple of trips within Europe. It is such an excited moment! We found a new way of traveling like locals with less than what we used to have paid for, the offer of the apartments is unbeatable not even with hostels! We find the site is very user friendly as well and we will definitely come back for more for our future trips!

Best Vacation Site Ever!

Travel like a local
Wimdu has become my new favorite way to travel. Forget spending $300 a night in a hotel... I rented a cozy studio in the heart of Hollywood for under half that price. It had a jacuzzi, queen bed and was adorably decorated. I recommend Wimdu to all my traveler friends on a budget.

Great website to find apartments
I traveled with my family last month and we booked 2 bedroom apartment. Room was in perfect condition, very clean and with a nice view of the city. Never want to stay in a hotel again!
Such a better way to travel. We used Wimdu for a trip to Paris and staying in a local's apartment completely changed how we experienced the city. For less than we would have paid for a hotel, we had our own entire place, with a kitchen, living room, balcony, record player and even a washer. And our host was so nice and gave us a list of his favorite places that he suggested we visit (which we did!). The site is very easy to use - just find the apartment that speaks to you and book!

Easiest site to book trips for the family
