I ordered a Bed via Worldstore last week and it was supposed to be on next day delivery, which was Friday, I have just moved into a house and I have been sleeping on the floor so was looking forward to having a bed sorted for the weekend. However, little did i know that excitement would be shattered! And 4 days of frustration was beginning! The tracking website didnt get updated until 12noon to say deliver would be between 4.30 and 7.30 - not the 8 - 6 I was previously advised. If I had known this i could have actually gone to work and not taken the day off at all. I did get a call about 4.55 asking if i was in and 10 minutes later the van turns up ... a plain white grubby looking van with no logos on it! My friend that was here assisted bringing the boxes and mattress in as 1 of the delivery men never even got off the van to help! And then I was told only 2 of the 3 boxes for the bed frame were on the van, i asked why and when i was to expect the last box and i was told it will be on a van coming later that day - a clear but very well rehearsed lie! I was then pushed to sign for the delivery so they could leave which i wasnt happy to do as it wasnt all there, he reluctantly changed the figure on the form to 2 and said he would park up properly and make a call for me so I stupidly signed and surprise surprise he just drove off! I called him back (had his number as he called me before arriving) and he said he would text me his managers number. He did this and I called but it went straight to voicemail, no response was ever received to the message I left and the depot number on all the emails just rang out, after 5.30pm I gave up and tried contacting Worldstore but they only accept post sales queries via email and you dont get a response the next day despite what the automatic reply says. The end result what that i went the whole weekend having no idea if or when i would recieve the last box - I am still sleeping on the floor. I managed finally to contract Worldstore on the Monday using a number I found online and someone was looking into it for me but were not getting any commitment from XDP on when I would get the delivery, just that they would try and delivery the next day (Tuesday). So here I am another day off and it is now 12noon and i still dont have my box. Worldstore contacted me at 9.15 as promised and said the XPD said they were loading the van but still wouldnt confirm a delivery time, I was then given a number for XPD to call if I needed too but I was told they should be calling me directly to say it is on its way. XPD never called me. So I have just called them on the number provided, I explained the situation and was told they couldnt help me as I shouldnt have this number and I should go back via Worldstore. I explained that it is them that messed up my delivery, it is their delivery man that was rude and unhelpful and it is them that has my box so why cant she tell me where it is. She said no and she would be contacting Worldstore to tell me. I have heard nothing since! From either XPD or Worldstore. I tried calling Worldstore again and couldnt get through, on hold on an 0844 number is not what you want when you have already wasted £200 on an incomplete bed.
I have never known service like it and as a contractor myself this has now cost me 2 days money as well as the cost of the bed and I still have no idea what is happening.
My biggest fear is that I wont ever get the last box as yesterday the tracking site updated to say all barcodes delivered which is clearly not true - so will i ever get my final box. I will let you know if it happens!

After paying for a Divan bed i was surprised to receive the mattress the following day but alas the Divan seem to have become invisible so if you want to buy anything DO NOT USE WORLDSTORES Avoid like the plague.
Ordered bed and mattress on 6th may to be delivered today... 13/05 took a day off and been waiting. Called couriour company they said to contact world srore who only accepts emails.... this is ongoing issue wish I had read the reviews beforehand.

I ordered a sofa last Friday for next day delivery for my new flat and 3 days down the line I have heard nothing from them to organise delivery. We have been without a sofa in our new house for 4 days now. You cannot get through to them on the phone, I have been on hold for 25 minutes 3 times and then it cuts out, premium telephone number as well so costing a fortune.
When I finally got through to someone they said they couldnt help me and I had to call someone else. The number they gave me wont connect and I have been on hold for so long.
Terrible company, wish so much I had seen these reviews before hand. This has really ruined our moving in experience.

this company is fradulant not only do they not respond to emails..which is the only way you can communicate with them after you order...they do not deliver on specified date. you know the saying buy cheap buy twice l am going to demand a refund.
l ordered a mattress from this company and it was meant to be delivered on friday today is monday..recieved an email on thursday saying order has been dispatched with a tracking number, when you check the delivery it says at collection depo, rang the delivery company and they said they have not recieved mattress yet and they are just useless. l have emailed worldmatress several times and they do not respond l just wish l had read these reviews before ordering, its better to pay extra for items that you know will definately be delivered than cheap and not get delivery. if you value your money do not order from this website.
I ordered a rattan sofa set via world stores with next day delivery on Sunday. I booked a delivery slot for this Tuesday. After waiting in all day, it did not arrive. The online tracking stated it was at the xds distribution centre, ready for delivery. It is now 5 days later- no sofa set. All companies have the occasional problem, but what is unacceptable is the absence of any customer service. I have sent an email everyday, there website says they will get back to you the same day. I have not heard anything. I have called them everyday, but it diverts you to a message that states that due to exceptional call rates all customer services are via email. I have also tried the xds distribution centre, which gives you a telephone number to ring. However after numerous calls at various times during the day, they do not answer the phone.
This has the characteristics of a company with cash flow issues or is a fraudulent company, ie takes payment but does not deliver the products, delays delivery or has them held by the distribution centre. In the absence of any information from world stores, it seems the only logical conclusion.
I note they are still taking sales so I would suggest that you treat world stores with caution.
UPDATE (18 may). Managed to get hold of someone from customer services, Ben. Actually via advice from another member of trust pilot, so thank you. Ben was dealing with this and confirmed that the sofas would be delivered last Friday. We waited in all day. THEY DID NOT TURN UP. Both the delivery company (XDP) and Worldstores customer services still do not answer their phones. Still no delivery 2 weeks after order (redefining the term, next day delivery). Was promised refund of delivery charge, still not received.
Am so angry.
A week after ordering next day delivery promised. Product not delivered but card has been debited over £200. Customer service rude and useless.
Premium rate phone number for customer service - waste of time.
Having read other reviews am formulating complaint to insolvency service to ask them to investigate.

"Next day delivery" - rubbish.
Nine days on, no table and chairs. They are allegedly at the courier depot, but have been for five days. Courier does not answer phone.
Worldstores/Garden furniture world do not anwer the phone, the claim they are experiencing high call demands (all day, every day, all week) and to fill in a form.
They do not respond to the forms. They do not deal with you in anyway at all.
I advise people to stay away and do as I have done and contact trading standards and Watchdog. Looking at how the reviews of the past two weeks on the internet have all been bad (other than the obvious shill reviews from worldstores employees consisting of one liners to try and offset the negative reviews), I would guess they are in financial difficulties and cannot pay staff or get the goods they are selling.
I ordered a bed from this company, the bed turned up a day later than I was told it would ( I had taken a day off of work!) and when it did arrive, much, much later in the day than I was led to believe it would the box it arrived in was heavily damaged with parts of the bed hanging out. I was handed a handful of loose nuts & bolts by the driver who delivered it,...so, when it came to assembling my bed I couldn't because more than half the nuts & bolts were missing. I rang the after sales department but the message said email which i did, i emailed world stores immediately explaining that I was now sleeping on a mattress on the floor..... not good at all. . No reply until today, some 3 days later but only AFTER I sent another email marked COMPLAINT that I receive a reply to my original email. The bed is still sitting there less than half assembled and I still have to wait up to 5 days for the replacement parts!
Had seen some other items of furniture on their website I planned to order, I'm not going to bother now. Wish I had seen this website before I placed my order with them..... I expect to see them on watch dog before long with some lame excuses!
We ordered a new bed as part of a surprise makeover for our daughter. Only half the bed has arrived!!!
I've called and called, emailed and World Stores NO RESPONSE, NO HELP. This is a truely appalling company, looking at the reviews on Trust Pilot many many people are very distressed, upset and feeling abandoned.
If you value your time and money DON'T waste it on this awful company. You will regret it as many on this site have done.
If you have Twitter accounts, or your family do tweet your customer service nightmare at @WorldStoresUK. Perhaps if we all do this they will start to listen!!!

We ordered a chicken house online via next day delivery and received a confirmation email stating delivery would be made the next day. Somebody waited in all day .
No chicken house was delivered.
I phoned their customer service to be informed that they were unable to help me and they ''were not trained to help customers, only sales". They were rude and neither apologised nor rectified the issue.
This is quite the most rude, incompetant company that I have ever dealt with. I would strongly advise you not to buy from these people.
The sizes of bedding are generous, the range of colours is excellent and the prices are competitive. Delivery was prompt. I shall use them the next time I re-vamp a bedroom. In all, I would highly recommend them.
An update from my previous review. After my order failed to arrive on the day I contacted World Stores via e-mail. It is pointless trying to contact through the phone! They offered me £50 refund if I waited for stock to come in. They had taken my money without knowing what I wanted was in stock. I decided to ask for a full refund.
They did refund my money within 3 days and replied to my e-mails quickly.
I was suprised by this after reading other peoples reviews.
If you are chasing a refund then contact by e-mail, know your rights as a consumer, be firm but polite. It worked for me.

Ordered over 500 pounds worth of garden furniture which still hasn't turned up,took a day from work to get my delivery on specified date.but nothing.And there is absolutely no way to contact them over the phone as they just put you on hold and take even more money.i have emailed them but still no reply.not very happy.
I order regularly from lots of companies on the Internet and have NEVER received such bad customer service as I have from this company. I cannot believe their lack of care and lack of concern when things go wrong as they have with my order. Please think very very carefully before ordering from them if you have any kind of deadline.
Long story below but I felt it necessary to detail how frustrating this has been - and I still don't have the goods I ordered.
My 4yr old nephew's birthday was last Saturday. Earlier in the week I ordered a seesaw as a present from me and his nana. Delivery was confirmed for Friday, the day before his birthday. Perfect timing for his party on Sunday. I received an email from the delivery company on Friday evening to say it was awaiting collection. I tried phoning them but no one answered so I waited until Saturday morning and called world stores to see what had happened. Their website says they are open for calls on Saturday but a message said otherwise.
I emailed to report that my delivery hadn't arrived and got a reply on Monday to say it has been delivered to the wrong depot and would be delivered on Wednesday. I replied asking for a quicker delivery as it was already way past the agreed delivery date but was told this wasn't possible.
Wednesday came and went and again no delivery. I emailed again on thurs morning to ask what had happened. I got no reply so called the delivery company who said the package had arrived with them late on Friday (so no chance it was ever going to get delivered on Friday anyway) but that it hadn't been seen since. In other words they had lost it. Not world stores fault but I don't understand why I had been told that it was out for delivery on Wednesday given the info I had just been given.
I emailed world stores again to say I had clearly been given incorrect information and felt I was being fobbed off and ignored now. I then received a call, no apologies but was told that they would send another seesaw out for delivery on Saturday, or Monday. Now it was over a week overdue. I asked for an express delivery given the problems I had encountered but was told this wouldn't be possible but she could get it out for Saturday for me - if that's what I wanted! I said tha t if that was a definite delivery date then I would grudgingly accept it but that I wasn't happy at all.
Today, Friday, a week after my delivery was due, I received a text asking me of I would prefer a tues, weds, or thurs delivery. I could also request a callback which I did immediately. An hour later I received the same text again. I again requested a callback. Again nothing.
I have emailed customer services, complaints and replied to the email I received originally from Lucy regarding my original complaint. It's now 17:30 and no-one has replied to me.
I am now going to attempt to cancel my order, get my money back and order this elsewhere..
Within 15 minutes of leaving this review I had a call from word stores who had read my review and received all the emails i sent them today. The news was not good. They had never come across the delivery texts that I had received earlier and on contacting their supplier about this.....er hold on I said - what supplier - I ordered from you, are you not the supplier? Turns out they are not and just order from other people when they receive orders. The plot thickens. Anyway, despite being promised a delivery tomorrow (3rd delivery time I have now been promised) that is not going to happen as the 'supplier' has not sent the goods out yet.
So I requested a refund and again stated that I have NEVER received such bad service in my life before. I have received an email to say that my refund has been processed but given the problems other people appear to have had after being promised refunds, I will not hold my breath. Sadly my lovely little nephew will have to wait until I do get this refund before I can order a replacement for him.
They have an extremely professional looking website but unlike many other suppliers, there is nowhere on their site to leave feedback. Now I know why. Buyers beware. You might get lucky. Or you might not.

Garden Relaxer Chairs are excellent quality and a great price. The order process and delivery also excellent, and I will be looking to order again, mainly for the garden as the household range wasn't particularly exciting or inspiring (sorry!) The ordering part was fine, quick and efficient. I picked Friday as my delivery day (booked the day off work) the beds were delivered on the Thurs and left with a neighbour. Whilst my neighbour didnt mind, I think the items are too big to leave with a neighbour. The mattresses arrived the next day at 6pm. Would have been nice to have an approx time first thing so I didn't have to waste a day. Also the boxes the beds came in were dusty so it left black marks on my neighbours walls as well as our own.
orderd a bed yesterday wasnt told a time theyd arrived so stuck in all day with my son. After a whole day bed finally arrived, well i should say head board and the sides. There was no bottom underneath or frame asked corrier is that all he said yes just the 2 boxes. Tryed to ring costomer service HAHAHA what a JOKE send 2 emails no reply. If i do not get it resolved i will be going to trading standers and Watchdog. Will not b using again. BEWEAR
After shelling our £449.00 for a corner settee (black/grey) i was told it would be delivered next day on the date specified which i took time off work to ensure i was there it did not turn up i then rebooked with the courier myself as they had no idea where to dispatch the sofa too ..... when it arrived it was the wrong orientation and clearly not the colours specified , i informed sofasworld (worldstores) of this and was promised a straight swap one collected one delivered and recieved confirmation of this for wed 8th may so i took yet another day off work 3 days no win total costing me £250 per shift ..... it still hasn't arrived nor has the original delivery bin collected i've spent over 6 hrs on hold dealing with this company and only managed to speak to someone once....my fiancee is pregnant .....has no where to sit ...... i used this site after they boasted next day delivery/fast delivery ideal i thought! no need to worry love no more stress on your back after tomorrow a nice new sofa to sit on .......oh did i mention you get through to the sales team fine ready and waiting to steal your money THIS STORE / SITE / COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE WHICH HAS LEFT ME UP A CREAK WITHOUT A PADDLE! someone please advise me do i seek legal advice i'm getting nowhere and its killing me mentally!

I watched a 999 programme about how quickly a fire spreads and why doors should be closed. I have a 30s house and 3 different sizes of doors. Unfortunately, the usual companies B&Q and Wicks only do standard sizes, so I tried the internet and found World Stores. What a brilliant company. I even got an email from the delivery people giving me a 2 house slot for delivery. The doors arrived in perfect condition, what a change from the usual couriers. Many thanks. I have passed World Store details on to all my friends and colleagues.
I would like to say that Customer Service was appalling.....but it was non-existent. Having emailed, phoned and emailed again over 8 times....phone calls listening to a voice mail for over 20 minutes......I have now decided to seek legal advice.
Worldstores have taken my money and not delivered their end of the transaction.
Having spoken to my bank I have to wait 15 days to take up a dispute. In that I have contacted a solicitor and will be contacting BBC Watchdog.
I want my money back NOW.
The dressing table mirror I purchased for my bedroom is beautiful. It looks as if it cost me much more than I actually paid! I have looked at similar products on other websites and found similar mirrors far more expensive. My mirror arrived without delay and was well wrapped and protected from damage in transit! My only negative comment is that the details stated 'white' and when I opened the box, it was more of a pale cream colour. I was disappointed at this, but because I love the mirror so much I got my husband to paint it white with a satinwood paint! It looks brilliant and I finally have exactly what I wanted!!!! I will definitely use this website again!!!!

I'd been shopping around for a bean bag for my 2yr old son for a while. I found this one that was a good price however wasn't very happy about the delivery charge. After looking on different websites the bean bag I bought was so much nicer & cheaper than all the others & that included the delivery charge, so went for it. My son loves his bean bag which has a lovely design perfect for little boys. I would recommend the product & website to anyone. The courier service that delivered the bean bag sent me a text with a time slot so at least I knew the approximate time so I wasn't waiting in all day. Fantastic service. Thank you!
If you want to order something quick online, fine, but if you have any questions or problems expect appaling customer service. Emails ignored and recorded phone messages telling customers only to use email, innapropriate charges, staff having no knowledge of orders even when they contact you and not bothering to respond to actual queries made, wrong dates given for deliveries and pick-ups, lack of communication with couriers, couriers leaving large orders outside properties without collecting signatures/ coming in contact with customers, lack of information given about order processes and processes generally not adhered to and, after all this, I was only apologised to once - for something that I hadn't even complained about (although it was appreciated)! I really wish I hadn't bothered, I would have been happier without the door on my bathroom!
Manufacturing however - very good. Whoever is actually creating and supplying these products should go it alone and find themselves a new sales force to represent them.
I was trying to get through by phone today 9/5/13. Was waiting 20mins. Didn't get through and ran out of time. Nightmare!!
This is the worst experience I have ever had when purchasing goods on the internet. This company is completely incompetent and offer no customer service whatsoever. It is impossible to get hold of anyone in their customer services department they either leave you hanging on the phone on a premium rate number ripping you off a second time or they fail to respond to any emails.
I ordered 6 doors from them which were due to be delivered over a week ago and to date I have received no explanation as to why they have not been delivered or when I can expect them - yet they have my money! I feel completely let down and at the moment am beginning to wonder if I have ripped off and this is some sort of sham company. BEWARE
NO response on true delivery date!! 3 emails and a phone call to the none existent customer service team. In 24 hrs there will be a comment at the bottom of this from someone called Prachi who will promise to look into this but nothing will come of it!!..
I have emailed again to request my money back as the item is still showing awaiting shipping dispite being ordered last friday on "next day" delivery. Lets get this people on Watchdog!! (thats if the BBC can get through to them!!!!)
Everything else about the transaction was excellent.
Having ordered garden furniture to the value of £1900+ pounds I am devastatedat the trouble i having getting it delivered to me. They have now been 4 failed deliveries. The only way you allow me to correspond with you is via your email system. I have had one useful phone call form a young lady yesterday but heard no more from her after she promised to taken on the investigation with your delivery company. Today I had a very vague voicemail left on my mobile phone saying she hoped I now had my furniture. I reported yet again, late last night, after latest failed elivery that NO I DO NOT have my furniture and I have no confirmation on when anyone plans to try and deliver it again. Please contact me onthe land line numbers I have provided as I live and work in a rural area and signals can be unreliable at times on a mobile phone.
I have spoken wiht my credit card company who advised on my next steps to get redress.

I found a great range of products available, and really liked how searches could be categorised with common sense refine options. Doors I required were not of standard size, so saved a lot of time. Great price and delivery costs, and super fast delivery also. Unequivocally recommended.
I bought a chiminea from this company waited a complete week for it to be delivered even though they offer next day delivery. I've been sitting indoors all day for a reply to my numerous emails and for one of their customer service members to pick up the phone but due to unforeseen events noone can!... Ridiculous a whole day wasted and no response.. FSA or Watchdog needs to know about this shady company! They have someone to reply to reviews and no one to pick up the darn phone ridiculous!
