The bed arrived on the day we had asked for delivery, the bed was well worth the money we paid and was very comfy, I would definitely recommend Worldstores for the ease of ordering online, the fast delivery and the quality of the product.
I ordered some wall lights, the price and quality were excellent, unfortunately when one of them arrived it had a small part missing. This wouldn't have stopped me from using the light, but I wanted them to be perfect. I rang Worldstores and spoke to a really helpful lady who said she would contact the supplier and ring me back. Within 5 minutes she had called me back and the supplier had agreed to send a replacement light and asked me to dispose of the 'broken' one. The light arrived today and the service was fantastic from both Worldstores and the supplier.
I bought a new mattress from bedworld and I have slept better than I have in ages. Their products are excellent quality and prices are great too. It's so important to have a decent mattress for a good nights sleep and bedworld have a good range of prices to suit everyone. It was easy to navigate the website and an easy transaction, with a choice of delivery dates. I would definitely recommend them.
Three months ago, I ordered the Gracie trundle bed through Worldstores over the internet as I was told that it was in stock and I could have it delivered 3 days later. They took payment, sent me through confirmation and I took a day off work (unpaid) to accept delivery that Friday. At 7pm on the Thurs evening, I received a phone call from them telling me it was no longer in stock and they had no idea when it would be in.
I received a call at the beginning of last week 3 months later) informing me that the bed was back in stock and ready to be delivered. The bed was arranged to be delivered on Saturday so I stayed in all day. No delivery arrived. I received a text message from the delivery company on Monday morning telling me the bed would be delivered within the next 4 hours when I was at work. I explained that the bed was due on Saturday. They checked their records and explained that World stores had not put in a request and paid for a Saturday delivery - it was the fault of Worldstores.
We assembled the bed last night. Firstly, when unpacking the bed we noticed the top corner of the headboard was chipped and damaged. In addition, one of the springs attached to the leg of the trundle bed had come away from the frame and was impossible to anchor back in - the screw hole was too big and chipped on one side. The general quality of the bed was shocking poor; I have never seen anything so badly made. As we assembled the bed, two screws broke as we tried to screw them into the fittings. Again, due to exceptionally poor quality, on both occasions the hexagonal grip of the head of the screw softened as we rotated it with the allen key, causing it to become a circular hole in which no other tool could bite onto, leaving it stuck (not tight enough to be secure but unable to remove it).
I am utterly disgraced by the quality of the customer service and product they have sold me and seething at the wasted time and money Worldstores has caused me. I have spent in excess of 6 hours chasing the order, arranging delivery, being kept on hold (over an hour during the last phone call) and putting together a piece of furniture that is frankly not worthy of the cardboard it is wrapped in. I don't want the product anymore - I wouldn't actually trust my daughter to sleep on it without it breaking yet I can't dissemble it to return it as the screws have broken. I have since sent an e-mail listing all of the above but have heard nothing from them.
Companies like Worldstores should not be permitted to trade - it is daylight robbery.

Item as described on the internet site. Delevery was on time. Item is beautiful and of good quality.
It was quick and easy untill i arranged my wardrobe to be delivered to a different adress. I rang the company and i was on hold for more than an hour and a half finally got through to change the address and they said yes that is fine ill put it to the couriers. i also asked when will it be delivered mind you this is 2 days after i purchased my order.
The company said that the couriers will give you a call to arrange a deliver 4 days passed and i didn't hear anything so rang world stores up again and on hole for another hour. they gave me a number that i rang and a guy answered and said he will call me the next day and i didn't hear anything by this time the couriers had my wardrobe for 3 days when i finally got hold of them they were on rout for delivery no call what day they would be or anything. i asked for the a address they where taking it to they said my home address i was like no it was suppose to be going to a different address they wasn't aware of this but in the end we sorted that out.
then 2 weeks later my wardrobe began to fall apart i made a complaint now one got in touch with me until i sent a second complaint then they asked me to send some photos which i did i sent these several times and they had not received them i sent them to a employee there and she was very help but it took 4 weeks to get this sorted so 5 weeks with a broken wardrobe.
arrange delivery and everything was fine. Told the couriers that the old wardrobe was upstairs because they were collecting and delivery they had no idea of this so on the phone to world-stores yet again didn't answer but they did take the wardrobe.got hold of the employee and she said a manager would get hold of me 3 days passed and didn't hear anything so emailed her again no reply.
Now another 2 weeks have gone and the new wardrobe is falling apart emailed the employee i was dealing with before and no answer after 5 attempts of emailing her i put another complaint in not answer after 2 days put another one in no reply but i had a reply of so called employee and she said it has passed on to someone else 3 days passed and still nothing so i emailed her back asking for collection a full refund.
this company are rubbish and having a nvq in customer service my self there's is poor i have now got a brocken wardrobe that i can not use and a loan to pay off for it.

They have now told me a manager will call me at 8pm tonite i have already gone to trading standers so if i have no reply this is going to go even bigger.
looking at the reviews by the look of it most of the positive ones are fake and when they reply to the bad ones they all say the same thing so you can tell they don't care about what happens its an automotive email system i would of had more luck off a baboon

I ordered a mattress and selected a delivery date of 2/10, took a day off work lost pay and at 4pm called and on hold on the premium line for over 10mins after being cut off 3 times. Was then told mattress at wrong depot so would have to deliver the next day. I asked if it could be delivered before 12 and was told they could not make any type of exception despite this being their error. I rearranged delivery today and my boyfriend took a day off work.
Again I called several times to check this would be coming as we have no mattress to sleep on, got cut off many times and then held on the 0844 number for 23 minutes and gave up, still no mattress and no phone call or e mail to notify me....
My e mail has been ignored, we have lost 2 days annual leave and I have no idea if we will ever receive the mattress we have already paid £379 for. I have NEVER experienced service like this and urge you not to use this company to save money as you may never receive your goods.... I have no idea what sort of organisation can think this is acceptable and I am contacting trading standards tomorrow to find out what can be done to stop these jokers ripping people off!!!!!
THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY - Ordered & paid for 2 items both for next day delivery, same courier company used as noted on the tracking link but only 1 arrived, delivery driver had 1 item only on dispatch note.. several phone calls left on hold to their premium rate number and emails sent which have not been replied to - customer service - WHAT customer service?? - happy to take your money but not supply all the goods..If our company treated customers this would we would not be employed for very long!! I wish I had read all the reviews before I placed my order, it has probably cost me more money on phone calls to their premium number than the item will cost.. cheaper is not better TRUST ME...
I am dissatisfied with the lack of communication from this company and I am tired of sitting in a phone queue for over half an hour, only to be cut off, and for the majority of my emails to be ignored.
I placed the order for my sofa on 24th September 2013. There was a 4-6 week wait for the sofa, but I was happy to wait as it was the sofa I wanted and I had, at the time, another sofa to make do with until then. Once the 6 week period elapsed I emailed the company for an update. I received a voicemail a couple of days later to say that there was a problem with stock and they would get back to me. They didn’t, and I checked the website a couple of weeks later and saw that my sofa was now available for next day delivery. Phoned, cut off, emailed, and got a call back on my voicemail a few days later (Friday 22nd November) saying that as there was only one left in stock, and that this would be shipped on the Monday and I should expect delivery soon. Nothing came, no communication, nothing from the courier. Emailed again later in the week. Twice. No reply. Phoned on the Friday night (called sales who were easier to get through to). Was told that Sofasworld had been trying to get in touch with me to arrange a delivery date (although I had no communication since 22nd November which was the voicemail indicating that my order would be shipped). I was told that they would email customer services who would get back to me on the Monday. To their credit, they did, and I have an email confirmation on Monday 2nd December to say that my order was being shipped that day. Great! But, on checking the shipping details, my order now reads CANCELLED. Emailed back on 2nd December to ask if my order was indeed cancelled, or if this was an error. No reply. Emailed back on 3rd December to ask same question. No reply. I really don’t know now if my order has been shipped or not. If it hasn’t, why? If it’s cancelled, why? And most importantly, will anyone be contacting me about a refund of my deposit? The whole saga has just been extremely frustrating and I wish I had never ordered from this company.
Update - we recieved our sofa today, and I have to say, we are delighted with it. The couriers, once we heard from them, were great. Called the day before, gave me a tracking number, I checked it in the morning, gave us a three hour window, and they came within that three hour window. Carried the sofa into our living room and were friendly. I stand by my comments re the lack of communication from sofasworld, many emails were ignored and calls never connected. Especially frustrating when the website was telling me that my order was cancelled. But alls well that ends well and I'm grateful to the member if staff who eventually shipped my order. The sofa is perfect and as described.
I recently ordered a bed and mattress, and thought it was great that I can select the delivery day. On the day, only the mattress arrived. No sign of bed.
I also had another order which was estimated to be delivered between 3- 5 days. But there was absolutely no news about it.
What really angered me was that my numerous emails were not replied. I tried calling, at least 8 times, always to to put on hold.
3 working days later, I received a text to say the bed will be delivered today, which means I had to take urgent time off. I finally got through to Worldstores to cancel my other order.
THis is completely unacceptable. Why give the option of 'selected day' delivery when they can't live up to it? Did they think customers can just take time off and rush home for a delivery?
I will never buy from Worldstores again.

You can use this company with complete confidence. From start to finish the whole process was simple and to finish it off, the driver exhibited excellent customer care skills. He rang me several times on my mobile (I was at work as a receptionist, so already answering a call!) and waited for me to drive home to sign for my delivery. Well done!
Order did not arrive in time. Contacted Carrier and they said that because the fireplace was a two man delivery they didn't know when it could be delivered. Called customer care team at world stores, I was waiting for 10 mins on hold before I gave up. Totally horrendous customer service. Pay a bit extra and shop elsewhere!

Ordered a mattress, booked a specific delivery day, took the day off work - and nothing! Not a word, no update, no delivery showed up. Sent Worldstores many emails, stayed on the premium 0844 after sales line for ages, no response, no reply, absolutely nothing!
Today I get a phone call from a delivery driver, saying he is on his way (not on the agreed date), and then we rushed to be home to sign for it - and turns out the mattress was never loaded on the van to begin with. Another day wasted. Again, I called Worldstores and emailed them, but no response what so ever.
I would never use this company again, not sure when (if at all) I will get the mattress.

Furniture arrived a day late, which cost us two days in time.
The dressing table stool, has now fallen to bits. All of the fixings in the legs have pulled out, and it is now unusable. Very poor construction, and looked weak before assembly.
very very disappointing, I'll buy from a good old fashioned shop in future.
The Dressing table and bedside cabinets, were in a thousand bits, and took forever to put together. The paperwork says twenty minutes, ha ha!, no chance!
These did look very good when constructed though, and I am very satisfied with these.
However, prior to ordering, I did contact world stores by phone, to ask about the amount of self assembly there would be on these items, and he said "there is an element of self assembly". This is a very misleading sales technique, and in fact not true. It is a complete self assembly, the like of which I have never seen before. I am fairly skilled being a shop fitter, but anyone with minimal skills would struggle.
I may report this as mis selling.
Simply - the goods were not delivered on the correct day. In fact, at the time of writing this, I still haven't received them. They are showing at being at XPD's depot awaiting collection, which was not my understanding of the delivery service which specified a certain day. I can't even collect them bacause I can't contact the delivery company to find out where they are because no-one answers the phone, unlike the premium rate 0844 number that worldstores.co.uk has which is answered quickly and then you are put in a queue........I still haven't got to the front of it yet. Also the opening hours of phone line advertised are somewhat different to the actually opening times. Anyway if someone would like to contact me to arrange a refund....including delivery costs....I would be very happy. I can't help but think that I am going to be speaking to trading standards over this.
I ordered a bed and matress as compaired to major retailers the bed I wanted was half the price, it came and was unfortunately faulty in being it wasn't square the top was narrower than the bottom at the bottom it was 3and a half inches too big for the double matress, I contacted 5days after receiving as I read that the mattresses can expand due to being vacuum packed. It took me 97minutes to get through to speak to some one regarding this there was then 3days worth of emails going back and forward with pictures and sizes, then they just stopped replying so after 70 minutes back on hold I again spoke to customer services and was told that I would be called back no surprise nothing happens I then went on holiday for 2weeks and upon my return found a mattress bag had been sent in the post no instructions of what to do or anything else just a plastic bag in an envelop, so again after being on hold for an incredible amount of time and explains again that the bed frame was the problem I was again told I'd be called back once they had spoken to the manufacture to no surprise no one called back I send 5emails on the online form on the website asking to be called and heard nothing so again I called the premium rate number and was again on hold this time for over 2hours on this call I spoke to a helpful ladie called Becky who promised me this would be resolved that day to her grave she did call me back and said I could pick another bundle of a different bed and shed have the faulty one collected, I asked her to call me back the next day so we could arrange this once I'd picked the new 1 and once again no call back, I called again after holding for 45minutes (the fastest the phone was ever picked up) i spoke to Matthew who arranged collection and re delivery , I work full time Monday to Friday they were not able to deliver to me on a Saturday without charging £35 deliver which I was not prepared to pay after ther diabolical customer service so I had to take an unpaid day off work to wait for the deliver as they also cannot give a time the delivery will be made , the delivery turned up as arranged but the driver had no collection details for the fauly frame i called customer service again soening over 1hour on hold supprise supprise the collection had never even been booked I point blank refused to take another unpaid day off to waste on this bed and asked for a manager to speak to the woman scoffed at me and said some one will ring back as you cant hold for the manager and hung up on me, the manager then called but I wasn't quick enough to answer and it went to voice mail she left a voice mail saying collection had been rebooked for Monday so could I ensure that it cold be collected!!! i had already explained due to working mon to fri 9-5 there wouldn't be any one in for the collection to be arraigned this went on for 2weeks I in the end gave up calling and arranged a courier collection my self on the couriers website for the item to be collected the faulty bed has been collected today after ive sat at home all day again unpaid and the courrier turned up at 6.20pm!!!!!!!!!!! so finally after 8weeks of me first reporting that it was faulty I never have to speak or deal with this shambells of a so called company ever again
So my advice is to order from a more reliable company. Who's customer service can acctualy be bothered to speak to you. In the end after a £145 phone bill and and 2days wage lost id have been better ordering the bed from anywhere else as I thought I was saving my self money I've paid more than I would ordering from a department store
All in all is safe to say I am more than furious about this.

This company are a joke, ordered a bed, we waited in day after day for it to arrive, everyday on the phone to them, each time promising it will arrive, finally get told that they have problem with supplier so we choose another bed, that finally arrived later than said, original bed due 26th sept other one arrived on 7th oct, damaged, the drawer was broken.
Been waiting since the 8th oct for replacement and one arrived last thursday, guess what it was damaged, in an even worse state that the original.
So the saga goes on, yet again another promised delivery today and surprise surprise, no drawer.
The staff promise to resolve it but dont, so it gets passed to someone else who promises to sort it but dont, i am have another name of someone else to do but havent phoned me today as they said they would and again emails not answered.
Nine weeks this has gone on for, keep threatening trading standards but they dont care. How many days do they expect we should wait in for a delivery because they wouldnt like it if they were being treated like this from another store. Disgraceful.
In total we have waited in at least 10 whole days, with 5 of the days being one after the other and its always going to be between 8-6.
Also spent over £20 in phone calls from trying to get the original bed but now refuse to ring that number as to expensive and of course they say they have no other number to give.
Thank you for your reply and trying to contact us yesterday, unfortunately every time we call the number you left it just rings and rings, please could you call again before 4pm and speak to my partner Don.

I ordered a divan base from divan beds world. It was cheap and exactly what I wanted and Saturday delivery was available at an extra charge that seemed extremely reasonable (£30.00) compared to some of their competitors (£80.00+delivery). Bargain, says I! I looked for reviews of Divan beds world and could not find many but of the few I saw they were positive ones. It wasn't until after I bought it I saw many negative reviews for their parent company Worldstores and I was terrified that it wasn't going to turn up. You must understand, I was very fed up of sleeping on the floor. To my surprise (and relief) they text me to say they would turn up between 9.30 and 11.30 and arrived bang on 10.30 (well ok, give or take a minute). The delivery men were lovely and chatted to me and even helped me part of the way with the bed. I gave it 4 stars mainly because there was a slight problem with the bed. The hole where one of the wheels was supposed to slot into had an obstructive piece of wood, the frame was overlapping the hole slightly but I soon fixed this with a drill. Also, I emailed them with a pre-sale query and it took them 2-3 days to get back to me. The quality isn't outstanding... but it's a bed, and a cheap bed at that. I'm not exactly worried about whether it looks cheap or not as long as it doesn't collapse under me. Which it hasn't. Other than that though I am a very satisfied customer.
Too long; didn't read? Okay quality bed, good delivery service, Anyone who complains that driver did not deliver into their house or did not give a specific time needs to read the small print, it's all there. You get what you pay for, don't complain about quality!
Brought a sofa bed through worldstores who have a working relationship with XDP.. The sofa bed was broken and I asked for a refund. Worldstores offered me a collection the next week, which I was away with work but would be back the following monday- so they agreed to organise it for then, I took the day off work, only to be told at 6pm that the collection had failed to be booked by the XDP team at worldstores and it was rebooked for the Wednesday- then on Wednesday, having taken another day off work, their courier called to say there was no room on the van for it, unable to get through to the mobile number they gave me to call to sort it out, I spoke to world stores who said that they would be back later that day once they had cleared some space in the van. Funny old thing, they never showed. Complaining, I was told that they would be there the next day--- here I am waiting, with little hope.... stay away from XDP and worldstores.
Update 1042- just called worldstores who have advised me they've spoken to the courier this morning and it is 'not going out for collection today'. This is day 3 I've taken off work for this, think a call to my lawyer is in order.
update 1515 - Thank you for your comment, I have emailed you my postcode, I eagerly await your response, worldstores said XDP had promised to call me to rearrange- that was at 1040 this morning, it's now gone 3pm and still no call- speaks volumes.
update 1548- Holding email from XDP Jennifer received- she is looking into it. Still no contact from the branch itself, following the review on this site.
update 29th 1313- phone call from world stores following this review, they have contacted courier, should be collected today between now and 1610. It is clear that, whilst worldstores made some mistakes initially, the major fault here is their courier not the company, looking through the other reviews, it seams to be a common occurrence. If I were them, I'd ditch the courier.

Took the Tuesday off work to take delivery of goods to arrive between 8am and 6pm, during the day I received various texts from both world stores and the courier company. The next message I received was as follows.
(Order Ref WS0085335 we are sorry to advise that due to an issue at one of our warehouses last night we are unable to get your order to the delivery depot in time for your delivery. Your goods will now be delivered on 27th November. We are sorry for the inconvenience that this will cause)I then rang Worldstores, after a 30 min wait the phone was answered, they were very sorry and agreed to send the outstanding three items to my work address the following day as I couldn’t take any more time off. The following day after the goods again failed to arrive I waited another 30 minutes for the phone to be answered and was informed that they couldn’t get hold of one of the suppliers and didn’t know where the other items were, also that they didn’t have any information on their system about the change of delivery address. This customer service lady promised to look into it and call me back by 10.30 the following day Thursday 28th of November with an update. She was true to her word and called me at 10 am to inform me that the situation hadn’t changed and I was no nearer to receiving the goods I had ordered one week earlier with next day delivery promised. I subsequently requested a refund on the items not received and wait in anticipation for the value of goods and delivery charges to be credited to my card,I hope that the refund department is as quick as the one that took the money so I can purchase the missing goods from another sourse
In short I will never use this company again.

Ordered next day delivery for full order but only half turned up on requested day. Delivery company made no effort to sort out, just calling me at work saying I needed to be at home to pick up delivery as they were outside home! Second time I have ordered something from World Stores - two times delivery did not turn up as requested.
