Great value and very simple

Very easy to use and very simple to choose what extras I wanted if any, I have been a customer for just over a year now and have just renewed my products with the greatest of ease, not being one for automatic renewals (which is an option) I found renewing all my domains and extras was done in just 2 or 3 clicks.

I also have had to call a couple of times to get some advice on using an external email as I had not opted for their mail option and found them to be superb no hesitation in helping me get set up (although I had not taken there product)

Domains auto renewed in error - refund given with no quibbles!

There seemed to be a glitch with the auto renew removal, some of my domains for deletion reappeared as auto renew. When noticed ( as they renewed), I contacted support, the transactions were reversed and a refund given within three hours!

Problem solved, very happy.

I went into the Live chat support and was dealt with by Diana.
I explained my problem in detail which was a problem with uploading images into wordpress and that it may be something to do with my permissions. Diana said she would check this for me and came back to me a few minutes later and told me to upload images and see if they worked properly. They did! This was a major problem and it's good a job I got in touch with Diana as I was trying all day last Friday to get this sorted, but today managed to get it sorted in 10 minutes with some professional help. Very pleased!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME

I have been with them quite a few years and the ONLY reason is the hassle and time involved changing my website over and all my domains

To be honest I get better service from webs com and THAT IS ALL FREE. They have never managed to resolve any problem, just made it that complicated and time consuming I've ended up working through it and doing it myself, rather than reading what may as well be automated replies solving nothing

I monitor all my websites and 123-reg websites are going down ALL THE TIME. When I advise them of this, usually its back up and they are not bothered in the slightly that business is being LOST. Constantly up and down. Monitor your own websites (the website host won't advise you when they are down)

The final straw came with numerous renewals of domains and instantsite hosting via topcashback and NONE OF THE DISCOUNTS GETTING PAID as they are ONLY applicable to NEW BUSINESS not renewals, however no where is this clearly indicated therefore just misleading. I CAN'T WAIT TO CHANGE THEM OVER AT RENEWAL !!!

Excellent support

My website has been with 123-reg for about one month now. I don't have much knowledge in hosting the website with VPS and asked many many questions, technical stuff. All these questions are answered or solved within one day, and accurately.

123-reg is an efficient friendly company who genuinely tries to be of service in a modern way

I find the company offers packages and terms and services that could suit a variety of different needs for people who want to have their own website for whatever purpose. It works hard to be organised and responsive to general queries and needs, but has a friendly and personal service if you want to or have to go beyond that. The prices are reasonable and the service is tops!

WARNING - auto payments taken from credit cards with no refund option

To those that decide not to renew their demain name. this is a warning. In the Terms and conditions you tick allegedly you give 123 reg permission to auto pay after a year. I have had this and been told that because I did not cancel the demain 38 days before the payment was made I can not get a refund. I do not think this is fair considering I am bombarded with emails from 123 reg and failed to notice the one telling my my demain mayment was due again. I also was not aware they automatically take money from my creidt card. I think this is very unfair and divioud business practive and should be banned.

I am about to tick another T&C box to get this out there in the ether (TRUSTPILOT This time) and I hope that does not meet I have signed up to further dodgy dealings.

Update on this review Date: 20.3.14. Since posting this review I have been contacted by a "caring" 123 Reg staff member who have not left a means of communicating back. Yet again...Poor show!

123reg flat out lied about a grace period

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Ended up on the phone the registry, only to be told 123reg had lied regarding a domain just to make £75.

I messed it up and 123-reg fixed it!

I decided to transfer my domains over from a US based registrar to 123-reg, rather than reading the instructions first I just went ahead. When it didn't work I discovered my domain was locked, my admin email address was wrong, the domain was registered with a privacy company. What a mess!

However thanks to the support team who just said leave it to us my domains are all now safe in my control panel, phew! Thanks 123-reg support.

The worst customer experience I have ever had.

It's now been 6 days I have been trying to renew a domain and I'm no further forward. I have spoke with maybe 5-6 people via livechat and support, all of them saying they've passed it on to their superiors. Horrendous.

Appalling that cannot remove payment details or cancel hosting without calling

I have just cancelled all my hosting packages.

I am tired of having to call every time I want to prevent a hosting from renewing. I should be able to do this through the control panel. Payment card details should be allowed to be removed by the user via the control panel and not have to call to do this!

123-reg is quite a good service but I have cancelled for the reason above. I like to be in control when it comes to payments. 4 star for service, but 1 star for lack of ability of financial control.

Competative pricing and superb customer service

123reg provide hosting for numerous websites for me. They are the best value provider of domain / site hosting with customer support that is second to none.
They can speak to you in English rather than jargon but know how to provide assistance to experienced IT staff when required.
I have used several hosts in the past but 123reg are by far the best.

Very efficient

This is the best site I've found. They have a range of unusual domain names not available on other sites. The dashboard is great and setting up an email account was much, much easier than BT or Sky.

They take a while to answer the phone but, once they do, problems are resolved politely and swiftly.

Piss poor hosting, don't bother.

Unbelieving of the numerous bad reviews of 123-reg dotted about the internet, I went ahead and got a hosting package. What a fool.

Put it this way, although the site loading speed should be in the 1/2second range, I am seeing a range of anywhere between 5seconds and 35 seconds for a 1.2mb page. I'm not even sure how it's possible to be that slow these days. According to my analytics, 95% of this time is spent waiting for their servers.

This morning I was trying to put up a new blog post. I couldn't even access the front end of the site due to #500 internal server errors. This lasted for about an hour, and then the rest of the day would crop up everytime I reloaded a page, so I spent the majority of my day waiting for 123-reg servers to decide to work, instead of running my business.

Haven't heard from cust services yet, and from the reviews I've seen here I doubt they'll be any use. Looking to switch asap.

Save yourself the trouble and just go for a hosting company that actually does what it says it does, i.e. host the damn site properly in the first place.

impossible to get technical help and will not cancel services when asked

123-reg have the worst support centre I have ever come across. keep well clear or use at your own risk. I have spent the last two years moving all of my services away from them, and still they are using outdated cards to renew services that have been cancelled and they have emailed conformations of this, but still they are renewing the services. My bank are now pursuing them for fraud. beware.
