Ordered washing machine part Saturday pm. Soon realised I'd stupidly ordered wrong part. Called to cancel. No one there until Monday
Sent and email saying I wish to cancel order. (Still to this day 3weeks later no one replied).
Monday morning 8am called to say I wish to cancel order. To late I'm told, it's gone to packaging. You'll have to send it back.
Items arrives, more calls to premium number to request returns labels.
Item sent back proof of postage obtained. Item refunded back onto my card, minus 2 delivery charges. (They charged me to send back)
Yet more phone calls to premium number. Eventually sorted and money refunded
Yes it was my stupid fault I ordered the wrong part, but the standard of customer care at this place is shocking
This company is not a serious business. Its Fraud company that have no idea what they are doing.
My order was cancelled and was promised a refund. No refund and dispatch of package anyway with a really bad packaging. The result a damaged item. (Which i fixed my self and had to cover the cost my self. Very hard to get any responses from this company. Så please do not order anything from here. You will be dissapointed and i am so angry that i didnt read the reviews my self before i ordered.
I ordered 3 of the same items. Had an email a day after to say, order was placed. Then another to say it was dispatched a day later. I called 4 days later, Told I had to wait longer. A total of 10 days later... I'd not received it. 2 x days later I had it.
Packaging undamaged, items well wrapped, 1 broken... I guarantee it was packed broken, and the packer just didn't care.... Called to complain, sounded like Telephonist was well pissed with this company and the complaints. I would not recommend. Pay more for better service else where, next time.
Ordered parts for our washing machine from this company now 11 days ago (their site said 5 days for delivery), this is because they don't stock anything. I think they are a shed in someones garden in Birmingham (that,s about how professional they come across)
3 days ago they told me they now have the part (that they have taken my money for) in stock and did i still want it.
i told them as I have already paid for it, yes i did want it.
Yet they still fail to send out the parts.
My summary is this company are useless and very laid back (because it's not important to them that you get the parts; they assume it is not important to you)
terrible experience all round with this company; in future I will steer as far away as possible from them.
I needed some small rubber washers for my dishwasher, found them on the manufacturer's website, but had to buy through this company. The items were very small in size and very light in weight, only a few grams and could have easily have been posted in a small envelope first class for around 60p. The goods after about a week (not particularly good), second class postage in a large padded envelope and they had charged me £4.25. This seems to me to be a complete misuse of fair and reasonable postage costs. I contacted their customer services department by email explaining that I thought their postal charges were excessive and asking for a refund of some postage costs. As other reviewers have said on this site, their customer services department was unhelpful, quoting that there was picking, packing and postage involved, all of which could have been done for a matter of a few pence. Try not to use this company if you can.
It has taken over 6 weeks to get an incomplete (and therefore useless) vegetable container for a Bosch fridge from 4ourhouse.
•I ordered the part on 24 Jan. It arrived on 13 Feb.
•It came without the front panel…
•I spoke to one of their assistants and asked for everything required to make it usable.
•I received an email on 20 Feb advising me of the part required which I received on 22 Feb.
•It came without the fittings to make it usable…
•Today (2 Mar) 4ourhouse have advised me they can’t find the part I need.
I phoned Bosch who identified the part immediately. They also checked to see if I needed anything else.
I still can't decide whether 4ourhouse are completely untrustworthy and money-grubbing or complete imbeciles. Either way, these are not characteristics of a sound commercial enterprise.
Lessons learnt for me: 1. I will never use this company again. 2. I will check out ‘unknowns’ on this website before I order.
I ordered carbon filters for a cooker hood, but found out they didn't fit when I receive them, so my mistake. When I called to get a refund, they told me I would be refunded for the item only, not the delivery to me, fair enough. I told them I could send them back to them, I would pay Royal Mail for the return post, but they said I had to send them back with their free post label. So they deducted another £5.25 for this, and refunded only 1 item.
When I called them today, I had a very bad mannered man on the phone, who then accused me of lying when I said he misunderstood me. This was surreal! I have never experienced such an AWFUL after sale service.
I can't believe Argos is associated with them! I should have read the reviews here before ordering...
Ordered a replacement front panel for my car stereo after being directed to their website from the Sony website. Thinking that Sony are a reputable company, I expected that their spare parts suppliers would also be.
The order was placed on 18th of October last year. I was to "allow 10 days for delivery". Needless to say, nothing arrived within 10 days. I have since written to them about 5 times about the order. Every time, they say the "anticipated arrival date" is some point in the future, normally a couple of weeks ahead of the date I have written to them on. I am sure these dates are just random ones picked off the top of their head. I have now written to them requesting either an actual, confirmed date of delivery or they can just cancel the order.
I am giving them 2 stars, because I don't think they are malicious, just deeply incompetent.
load of BS'ers. Bought a blender jug for sandstrom blender which clearly indicated it included the base and cutting blades in thier online picture, they delivered the item without the base and cutting blades. Despite refering them to the their online picture which clearly showed the items, they claimed the picture was outdated. Following up a couple of days after this, noted they had still used the same picture without any change. They are a bunch of first class BS'ers, as this was my second blender jug, the previous replacement I ordered through one of thier sister companies which did inlcude the items in the picture, yet ther still denied it. STAY CLEAR OFF THIS COMPANY, as well as thier other sister companies, they are all one of the same rubbish.

the actual cost for me to send would only cost £2.20
and they get it cheaper as they are prepaid labels
and if you want to send one item or items back they supply you with a return label and charge you another £5.24

Ordered a cooker part 8th Aug 2012. Waited for a month and enquired as to whereabouts and was told the item would be in stock early Oct. Sent an e-mail enquiry but received no reply despite their claim they would reply to e-mails within 48 hours. Phoned their "non" customer service three days later and was told the item was now obsolete despite it still appearing on their website. Can't understand how they remain in business with such a lack of service or communication. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Perhaps one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. In short: I tried to order a part for my Kenwood food processor. It arrived after six months later...but in pieces. They wouldn't send me a replacement. Instead, I had to request a refund and then re-order.
I re-ordered and few months later needed to change the delivery address. They said I could only cancel the order!
Eventually the item arrived one year later - yes one flipping year later!!!. In future I will not buy brands which only use this parts service. Goodbye Kenwood.
tried to order a replacement cable for my hedge trimmer giving make and model. Explained that I had cut through it and I needed a lead with the connection into the appliance on one end and a 3 point plug on the end. Not that difficult to understand you would think. 1st someone tried to sell me an extension lead and then after explaining fully again when I went to order, I was told that he knew what I wanted. Totally wrong part has arrived. Now got to send it back and wait another 2 days (3rd time lucky) to get the part texted so I can order again. Watch this space!
Ordered part for food processor and paid for NEXT DAY DELIVERY- THEY DON'T DELIVERY ON A SATURDAY !!! so why did it let me pay for this then?

THIS I BELIEVE IS UNREASONABLE AS WITH ALL OTHER COMPANIES YOU NORMALLY GET 28 DAYS TO RETURN AN UNWANTED PRODUCT.
ANYWAY THIS COMPANY KEPT SENDING EMAILS TO MY HOTMAIL ACCOUNT AND I REPLIED TO ONE STATING DO NOT SEND ME ANY MORE EMAILS I WILL NEVER BUY FROM YOUR COMPANY AGAIN.
I THEN RECEIVED A CALL FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO SAID THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE PART BACK AND SHE WOULD SEND ME AN ENVELOPE TO RETURN THE PART. THIS WAS OVER TWO WEEKS AGO AND I AM STILL WAITING.

I've now been with out a usable oven since 5th May 2012. Today is June 10th.
I ordered an inner glass door panel for my Samsung BF641FD May 5th and the delivery period shown was 21 days i.e 26th May.
I called soon after 26th May to inquire as to why the order had not shipped and was told the delivery had not arrived but was imminently due.
Having called again today June 10th, i'm told the delivery - to 4ourhouse not me - will be June 15th. I half expected an apology but did not get one.
As the order is clearly late I asked to have the item put on next day delivery but was told by the operator and her supervisor that the SYSTEM didn't allow this. I asked for an exception to be made but the supervisor told me he was not able to override the system.
What a crock.
The vinegar in the eye is the fact that to get 4ourhouse's version of "customer service" I had to call their 08445 pay-as-you-go number too.!! I've now called twice.
I'm told the order will not be delivered to me until w/e June 22nd but i'm not holding my breath.
Unless I'm wrong this works out to be 49 days!!!! A little more than the 21 days stated when I placed my order in good faith.
TAKE THE DELIVERY DATES WITH A LARGE PINCH OF SALT.

Having phoned Samsung UK they assure me the part has not been discontinued. i can order it from 4MySamsung - the same company as 4ourhouse !!!!!
Flabberghasted I've ordered it elsewhere. It's cheaper and it'll take 10-15 working days.
After reading these reviews I must say that I was put off using this site. But I wanted a microwave plate that another spare parts company and 4ourhouse said they did not have, but took a punt on the nearest Samsung product code plate - it was delivered within two days and fitted perfectly!
I order an item for £29 which in ebay costs £2, then I after 5 minutes from the order I changed my mind I rang them and canceled it. The guy I spoke to said that everything is fine and we won't charge you. But after two days I check my account and they had charged me. Then I received the item two days later. I rang them up again and I requested, return and Refund and they said fine, we will fully refund you once we receive the item. I checked my account today to see that they have only refunded £15. I couldn't believe my eyes. I called them and they fully refunded 3 days later
I bought a small cooker switch that weighed not much more than a feather and the postage was £5.10!! How could this be so? I thought, but maybe it was coming special delivery or at least first class!
It arrived about a week later, wrapped in an ordinary flat brown envelope, no bubble wrap, 2nd class post. It got 1 star because it was the right item and it did actually arrive.
This website is seemingly not interested in pleasing the customer or giving value for money. I will avoid at all costs in future.
Now 10 days since my order has been "lost" in the post, not one reply from them despite various useless ticket numbers.
This company are scammers, take the money, take the postage payments then that is the last dealing you have with them, no goods and not contactable.
Ordered spare part through web-site, firstly the site was very unclear when my results came up, two very similar items were on the list but when you click on them there are no more product details to give you further information, in fact apart from the image there is no way what-so-ever of distinguishing between the items. Then when I ordered the wrong item turned up, then I was told it was my fault and the customer services representative was very unhelpful. I was told that I should have searched by 'model number' I was also told that this is how you are instructed to on the site which is not true, as there are searches for "Brand", "Model" and "Description". I didn't know my model number - like I would imagine most people wouldn't unless you are with it at the time - so searched by description and then got the wrong item as explained above.
I was given a refund but just for the item price minus delivery both ways £10.20! Since I ordered the item the price has gone up by £8 and they weren't willing to give it to me at the old price, when I originally ordered it. I found the company unwilling to accept any responsibility and very unhelpful, avoid like the plague. I'll be going elsewhere.
I contacted them recently about a spare part I'd purchased which had become faulty during it's six months use and they immediately refunded me the full cost of my order. Amazed at such fantastic customer service after reading some of the reviews here.
I recently ordered a part for my flymow. The wrong one was sent. I contacted the company and after several weeks of jumping through hoops I was emailed a returns label. I returned the item and and asked for a replacement not a refund. I paid over over £10.00 for the part and was refunded just over £4.00
I would not recommend this company to anyone. Find a local supplier.
I ordered a Samsung Fridge Door Lamp Switch Assembly solely on the basis of the next delivery service. When the part arrived it wouldn't fit, after calling customer services I was told it's a Samsung compatible part. That's no good to me as I've wasted over £8 on postage. From now on I'll be using http://www.espares.co.uk. I'll never be using 4ourhouse again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
I ordered a part which never arrived and then was treated to delaying tactics for my refund. Their processes are intended to hinder rather than help. I would not use them again and would warn anybody else off.

This company is simply a disgrace. Their customer service is a non-starter and they lie about items being delivered.
A next day delivery I ordered, still didn't arrive AFTER two weeks and still hasn't arrived. I received one response saying that they had tried to deliver - not true - we have orders coming in from all over Europe on a daily basis - and always have someone on hand to receive deliveries.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - THEY ARE COWBOYS
I wish I had seen these review before I used them. I bought a fridge shelf. The web picture and description stated a 'Servis' product - it is not. It is a generic product of much poorer quality. And funnily enough no answers to my emails. They obviously do not want repeat business.

Would not advise you to use this company paid for next day delivery as needed item urgently to fix cooker hob. Three days later still not received appeared to have gone missing a DHL but could get no one to verify was being delivered on day four nor send me a replacement to help me out. In the end cancelled order, returned on delivery, yet to see if I get my money back.
Any company can get things right. All they have to do is deliver the correct goods in reasonable time. It's what happens when things go wrong that separates the wheat from the chaff!
I had a problem when I paid for Next-Day-Delivery last November, and the item finally turned up a day late. When I called 4ourhouse to track the item the person I spoke to was very rude, and DHL were just as bad (search for DHL reviews - they are as bad as 4ourhouse).
I wrote a letter of complaint to 4ourhouse on 21 November 2010, which was received by them at 09.39 on 24 November 2010, but I received neither an acknowledgement nor reply. I wrote again on 18 December 2010, which was received by them at 10.45 on 21 December 2010, chasing up the first letter. To date I have not had a reply from either letter. IS THIS THE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS - DO THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS??
The only sign of life has been a partial refund of the next-day-delivery charge. I suppose that I should be thankful for that.
Reading through other reviews I find that I am far from alone with delivery problems, in particular next day. My experience with the rudeness of 4ourhouse staff is also prevalent.
Apart from the rudeness of the staff their main problem seems to be using DHL for next day delivery. 4ourhouse insist that DHL 24@Home is a next day delivery service. DHL insist that they only deliver the next day if they can . . . NOT what we pay for!!
I would like to give them less than two stars, but they do provide a good service with parts, which I suppose is why they can afford to treat their customers like a bit of dog muck on their shoes.
In future I will only use this company as a very last resort.
Order item but a different item was sent than that advertised on their website. Sending it back wil cost me so I'll lose out and they won't refund the money I have already spent on postage. Also the item sent must have cost them all of 60p to post but they charged £3.10 P&P!!!! Never again
High prices alerted me to the possibility that this might not be a good company to deal with. Sure enough I found a company with good ratings, supplying the parts I need at half the price. Fingers crossed it works out because judging by the other reviews here I can't risk going with 4ourhouse or its clones.
Having arrived home with our new born baby on Monday I put on the 1st of many loads of whites to be washed, the washing machine made a horrible grinding noise intermittently.
I made a very lucky guess that it must be the pump as it was quiet during the spin cycle and got to work googling repair prices and spare parts.
Found the pump at 4ourhouse and as it was cheap took a punt, after placing the order I read the reviews on here with a sinking feeling.
I was emailed that the pump had been dispatched and it arrived the next day, took twenty minutes to fit and the washing machine sounds like it did when it was brand new.
Repair prices started at £120+ and other pumps on there own were £75+, mine cost £32 delivered and it has saved buying a new machine or waiting for a repair.
Its a shame other people have been let down but my purchase has been flawless.
I ordered a spare part for my TV from this company only to be told 2 days later that the item would be out of stock for several weeks. On this news i cancelled the order and was given a cancellation number by the Customer Services.
Three days later i received an e-mail stating that the item had been shipped so i called again to be informed that the parts department had not read the cancellation notification sent internally and sent the part (how if they did not have any i'm not sure). I informed them that the order was cancelled and that i would reject the item when delivered.
However, they continued to take the money from my account even though the order was officially cancelled and at this stage nothing had been delivered or even attampted to be delivered and so in my opinion they had no right to take the funds from my account. The delivery was rejected and i'm now 10 days on and still do not have my money back.
Please do not go near this company as they have no interest in customer service and there is no-one there of any authority to deal with. For such a large company i find this whole situation totally unacceptable.

Bought a Door Hinge online, they took my money quick enough but after tracking my order after 2 days via the website, my item has yet to be despatched!
I called customer services who told me that it will take up to 5 days to arrive as it's with Royal Mail, I found the same Door Hinge on Ebay which was cheaper and offering next day delivery without extra cost.
The customer service advisor told me that I should have paid for the next day delivery service charge for which I would have now got my door hinge.
I understand the fact that delivery can take a while but it's annoying that my item hasn't even been picked and despatched from their warehouse on the day of purchase!
Never again will I shop there and will do my very best to spread the word to others, this will be easy enough as my sister works for the Daily Mirror.
