Telephoned on Monday for full chainsaw PPE to be delivered before or on Wednesday. Abbey took details of requirements and called back with suggestions. I ordered the recommended items and they were delivered on the Wednesday. Only minor issue was that trousers didn't fit ever so well with boots - struggle to fit trouser leg inside boot or fit boot inside trouser leg. Have returned trousers and am waiting to hear back from Abbey regarding suitable replacement. Hopefully should be able to resolve this without it being an issue.
The item i had ordered had been delayed, an upgrade was offered and a great deal it was. I was impressed with the service and delivery. i placed the order on the friday and delivery was promised on the monday, I was surprised when the trousers arrived the next day.
I would certainly recommend these to others and have been very happy with the service.
Having previously had excellent service from this company my latest experience has been absolutely awful. I submitted a high value order for a number of items I needed urgently. The items did not arrive in the 48 hour time period as promised it took a good three days. Promise on order "Sent by Royal Mail Tracked on the 16th December. (Please allow up to 48 hours)" When the order did arrive one item was missing - a felling wedge - and another Petzl I'D Descender was the wrong size (11.5-13.5mm which could not be used on the 11mm climbing rope I had ordered as well) despite the part number being clearly noted on the order sheet and on the delivery note!! I contacted Abbey Pro who assured me that the felling wedge would arrive the following Saturday and the Descender the following Monday. They would also send to me a prepaid note for the wrongly sent Descender. Nothing arrived in that time frame. (I did receive deliveries from other companies I had ordered from on line by Royal Mail on 48 service and got things on time despite bad weather etc.) Following a telephone call I was promised that they would arrive on Tuesday 24 December but nothing has arrived. The sales staff have always been polite and reassuring (Sam who I have spoken to and also Nick who took the original order). I have already paid in good faith for these goods. Why should I still be waiting one week and one day after I was promised a 48 hour turn around? If Royal Mail are at fault Abbey Pro needs to deal with that as it does not seem to happen to other reputable companies. I regularly order over the internet and I can only say this is the worse experience I have ever had.
Went on to the website and couldn't immediately see the solution. On the phone, the staff were clear and in next to no time I'd ordered, paid and - believe it or not - delivery was as promised, from stock!
After searching for my item (Electronic ear defenders), AbbeyPro were by far the cheapest and despite not having heard of them, their website made me feel confident enough to buy. Fast delivery, great communications - all in all a great experience
Once I had settled on what I wanted, the rest was made easy by AbbyPro. They kept me informed about the progress of the order form start to finish, so I was never left guessing when it was going to arrive.
Service matters when there is a problem and as I ordered the wrong size chainsaw blade, I phoned them and there was no problems in exchanging for the correct size. The guy I spoke to was polite and helpful.
