Long Dispatch Times and Cancelled Orders (after lengthy wait) Outweigh the Discounts
Update: After not having ordered from Achica for quite a while, they tempted me back with a £25 voucher. It's now the end of week 6, and as I check the status of my order, it hasn't even been submitted to the warehouse. So much for the 15 day period they claim in their FAQ's on when you will be given a delivery date! AVOID.
I do like the items Achica stocks, and the discounts are pretty good (though do check around as you can sometimes get cheaper when you factor in the site's hefty shipping rates--probably to claw back some of the discount!).
What I really dislike, and what others have complained about is that they are quick to take payment, but then it can take months to get items--in my case it's nearing month two, and still awaiting shipment of 2 piddly pillowcases I ordered in a large order of bed linens.
In a different order, I waited nearly 2 months again before they cancelled part of the order and marked it refunded (which took at least 7 days from when it was marked refunded in my Order History). The cancellation of the order after you've waited so long is highly irritating--surely there is a better way to manage stock with the manufacturer that it doesn't take 2 months to find out if it's available?
Bottom Line: Discounts are decent, items are appealing, but they really need to sort their system out with their manufacturers to dispatch goods quicker, and not in such a random fashion (even with the same manufacturer goods came at different times) and to make sure stock is actually available!
