being with admiral for 5 years i expect my polciy to go down a fair bit.... nope... it doubled, so i called them to say i did not want to renew it was a ridiculous price, as i had a multicar policy they said that even though I am the policy holder they would have to speak to my brother first as his car is on the policy... fine... so my brother called, confirmed that as he now no longer lived in the same property as me he would not be renewing either, so i called the next day only to be told that they had no record of my brother calling and that he would have to call again, i did point out that they had changed all my details to my brothers new address so how is it that he hadnt called! told them that i just wanted to cancel as i was not happy with the renewal quote, they then say "well if you want to cancel then your brother doesnt need to call frustrating isnt the word!!!!!! i THEN get an email confirming the changes to my policy as if i had renewed!!!!!!! so was back on the phone to them... "dont worry' they said "its just the way the policy is worded, it hasnt been renewed"......"but you will still have to wait for cancelation confirmation"..... its so bloody difficult to cancel! if they didnt hype the prices up i wouldnt be going through this! money grabbing gits!
After Admiral automatically renewed my insurance and took the money out of my bank account without actually sending me any renewal quotes I rang and asked for a refund as a) the quote was too high and b) the money was taken from an account that was inadequate for such a payment. Admiral customer service assured me the money would be back in my account within 3 days, 3 days later I rang and the money had only just been sent as a refund to which I was told it could now take up to ten days. Meanwhile they had already taken the new quotation amount from my other account leaving me massively out of pocket. Then to my surprise I did get a refund from Admiral this morning for £100.....a full £750 short of the refund that I am due. I have notified my bank of all this and they said that Admiral should have used a faster payment transfer which is FREE and takes 2 hours to refund. I have been with Admiral for 6 years but this disgrace of a customer service has now made me want to cancel the policy altogether.
I cancelled my policy with admiral after being quoted double the amount for my policy than an alternative provider.
I need to send my new insurer my renewal notice but as my policy has cancelled before the renewal date, they are stating they can't send this.
I've now called more than 3 times to try and get proof of my no claims bonus and have been given different information each and every time. I am now being told that I can't get proof of my no claims until the end of the policy which will mean that I won't receive this in time for my new policy to start, invalidating it.
I have had nothing but terrible service since I took out this policy and I can't believe it took me so long to move insurers.
Standard insurance for one car, they can do. Multicar policy? It's a total scam. You can insure two cars far cheaper individually with other insurers than using Admiral for a multicar policy. Don't fall into the trap. Just insure each car on it's own. The renewal rates are a joke.
2013 Well another year of games, admiral multi car was far more expensive than single insurance and they really couldnt care when i phoned - its simply maths to them. Well its maths to me also so I changed and recommend everyone to challenge and search for the best deals every year.
2012 having to go through the annual game of silly insurance premium increases is crazy.
why can't they simply be transparent and honest and quote the price that will keep your business.
Rang up and dealt with Dan Miner who was very helpful, and did everything possible to make sure my enquiry was dealt with as smoothly as possible. Where he did not know the answer, he sought assistance so that he could give me an accurate answer. Very impressed with the service received.
Rang up to take out a policy, customer services rep. was very aggressive in her manner. When i refused a certain part of the policy she was very condescending and as the above review states, our conversation veered off towards an argument too! Not what you expect from a 'professional' outfit.
