Bought a raspberry pi from these guys with the software ready to go. I plugged it in and it failed to load. I called them up and the sales guy (patrick) spent 20 mins on the phone with me configuring the device. Super helpfull would defo come again.

Up at advance technologies, who advised me rather than replace why don't I just upgrade. The sales rep advised me on some upgrade bundles they do as standard, after a few minutes of chop and change I finally ended up with some hardware to suite my requirement. Definitely would use again. Thanx guys
Placed order online 28th October for a overclocked bundle. Received 29th next day was well impressed with the express service and the price. Everything went sweet with this company will be using again very soon. Just to add website was really easy to use and find what i wanted and the one page checkout is great too.
On October 10th I ordered a "6 Screen Monitor Desk Stand" and paid via PayPal. Advance Technology informed me by e-mail that they couldn't dispatch the product because of the fact that my address was not verified by PayPal. However, my credit card was charged and payment was made. After PayPal checked my credentials and I confirmed my credit card, which took some days, I e-mailed Advance Technology on October 13th that they should now be able to ship the product and ask them to inform me in case of any further problem. They didn't respond and I didn't trust it anymore so I filed an issue with PayPal on October 14th in which I wrote: "The order is paid for but the order status still says "processing". I sent an e-mail yesterday (and before) but I didn't receive any answer or order update. I am afraid this is a scam and will leave this complaint open till I receive the goods. I expect PayPal to return payment if the goods are not delivered in short time." On filing the issue I received an automated credit memo and the message that a full refund would be made. The amount on the credit memo was 5 GBP short so I e-mailed Advance Technology. They e-mailed right back that they didn't initiate the credit note and were looking into the matter. I have not heard anything ever since. Advance Technology didn't respond to the issue and on October 17th the issue was promoted to a claim in which I commented: "The seller didn't react and I didn't receive a message that the goods were sent. The seller probably cannot make the delivery. Please return the payment I made". Advance Technology received e-mails on October 14th and 17th but did not respond. On October 18th I e-mailed Advance Technology: "Please let PayPal know your are not able to make the delivery so I can get my money back and can purchase this item elsewhere". October 22nd I received a message from PayPal that they had concluded their investigation into my claim and that they would send me a refund.
All I know is I paid for the product and Advance Technology did not ship it. I don't know why because they did not tell me which I think is inappropriate. They had the chance to respond and to make the delivery but they didn't. I am just glad I was in time with filing an issue and claim via PayPal so I received my money back. After that I ordered the product in France and had it up and running in three days.
Used these guys for years, built several computers using components supplied by them. Very good prices in-store that easily compete with online retailers, which is a rare thing nowadays. Very knowledgeable when it comes to repairs and assistance with building PCs. A modern company with seemingly good old fashioned customer service.
I ordered a radio last week and called yesterday to find out what had happened to it as I had not received it. I was told my order had been cancelled and my purchase refunded. I received no notification from this company - although the guy was quite adamant it had been sent - and, if this is how they treat customers - would advise anyone to think twice about shopping with them. There are nicer and more reliable sellers out there.

Ordered a barebones system with upgrades and the additional parts need for my new system on Tuesday 27th August 2013. as part of the package had to pay for 1-2 day courier delivery. On Thursday 29th contacted the company to find out when I could expect delivery first by email which received no response then by phone and was advised that it would be here on the Friday. So with the delivery expected on the Friday I cancelled all prior arrangements for that day and eagerly awaited delivery.... which never came. tried to contact company on there "Live Chat" , no response, On Monday 2nd Sept tried the live chat, still not working so called yet again to be advised that the computer that was supposed to be delivered on Friday was in fact still in there "warehouse" as it had just been wrapped and was awaiting collection from the courier. Monday evening received notification that the parcel had been collected and would be delivered on the Tuesday. Late Tuesday afternoon 2 parcels arrived. When I opened the first parcel It contained the empty boxes for the components for the pc. The second parcel had a worrying rattle when I was opening it in which I found the pc tower. Instantly upon opening the box I noticed that there was a hole in the back of the case where the graphics card should have been located so I opened the case up to find the graphics card had dislodged during transit.as the unit had not been secured with the screws supplied with the motherboard. Looking at the rest of the unit I also discovered that the components that they had fitted had not been installed correctly either the hard drive and the dvd player had only been loosely fitted in the bays with one screw in each component, not even tightened properly, instead of the prescribed 4 and they was pretty much just flopping around. So spent the next couple of hours stripping the unit down and rebuilding it including taking out the cpu fan and cpu as at this stage I had absolutely no confidence in there building work or there quality control. Would I buy from them again...... Definitely NO. the prices were pretty good but the amateur standards of workmanship in building my new PC, coupled with the miss information and lost time I incurred over the delivery leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth especially coming from a company that is supposed to be a multi award winning pc company. More Del boy like than a company I feel I could trust again given that I spent over £500 with them.

I have been using Advance Technologies for a long time for all my computer parts. I must say the prices are really good and very competitive and if they are out on price they will match the the price if you ask the staff! Also the staff are very polite and helpful and will make sure you are satisfied with the service and parts! I have never had any problems with this company even when my computer parts go faulty they will swap them out straight away with no hassle. Furthermore, they give you free technical advice if needed as I have. I have rang them many time to resolve my issues and technical advice always help. I will definite recommend this company to anyone who is looking for computer parts and good customer service.
My laptop screen broke went to Advance Technologies to get it replace. I was very impressed they replaced it while I waited plus they gave my laptop a health check too. Great guys and they know how to look after customers. Definatly will use them again and would recommend to my friends and family. Thanks
Wanted a gaming system after intensive searching i came across this company.
Placed an order for an XPredator gaming system. i loved the spec and the price, so I placed the order online. I got the system delivered within 5 days and i was well impressed. Came carefully packed and now i am enjoying playing all the games I like. I would idefinatly recommend this company as i have had no issues and will defo use again. So i decided to get myself a new keyboard after some research online found advancetec.co.uk who happened to have the ducky keyboard i wanted @ a very competitive price. After a quick chat on live support through there website confirmed they had it in stock so i decided to go ahead with my purchase. ordered it on Monday arrived on Tuesday just like the checkout says. well impressed and a happy shopper.
when i purchased the 9.7" tablet from advancetec, i did so through eBay. i tookwhat would call an informed punt by buying something from them that ihoped worked, and ifnot, some support from them. the tablet arrived - it looked smart and up to date and was fast. A few days later ifound the usb port didnt work :-( i telephoned them and found an informed, friendly voice coming from the other end of the phone.. to cut a story short, i returned my tablet an two days later recieved a fully functional tablet. the problem solved in double quick time, extra friendly support and no hassle. Thank you advance tech,an from one very experienced retired business man, all that said, if i were still in business i would know that i had stiff competition in the tech market. Thank you again.
I placed an order for a KWorld UB499-2T PlusTV Dual DVB-T USB, completed their checkout and paid... I was then sent an email saying they are out of stock, but more was due in soon. I would however have to send them more money because they were increasing the price.... I asked them to fulfuill the order because I had paid and thus its legally binding... they refused... In the end i gave up and asked for a refund.... and now im still waiting to receive it !!!

Needed an Android tablet, after searching and comparing I found one on advancetec.co.uk and no one else had a dual core and they had them in stock too, so I decided to take a trip down and have a look.. For the the specification the price was really great. I even got a demonstration before I bought one. The sales person was very helpful and informative about the tablet. I would definatly recommend Advance Technologies as they know how to look after customers and give them plenty of information on the product they are buying.
placed an order with advancetec yesterday at 1.20pm for one of their ATFX overclocked bundles immediately received an email stating that they have received my order. a minute later i received another email stating that the payment had been accepted and another email stating that my order had been processed. i then received a further email with my tracking number and estimated time of arrival from advancetec that my order had already left.
i checked my email in the morning and received another one from advancetec and i received one from the courier who are delivering giving me a time when i could expect delivery. took delivery at 12.30pm and what i ordered was there. i have now set my new ATFX overclocked bundle and i have to say that it is a beast of a pc.
well done guys keep it up. would recommend all my friends to advance tec.
The case I ordered was only stocked by a few outlets and not high stock, so I was not surprised to be sent an email to say that the Lian Li case I ordered would take about 3 weeks, almost to the day I received a phone call asking if I still want the case and if so they would dispatch it the next day, it arrived next day (I live in Scotland and often next day means 2 days) well wrapped in perfect condition, only then did they take payment, I look forward do dealing with this company again.
I'm local to Rochdale and had never used this company before, I had a PS3 Console which had stopped playing games and movies. I took it into the store after visiting a couple around the area. When i explained my issue with certainty they said there able to do the repair work for me at a cost of £55, this had been the cheapest quote i had received from anybody else. I booked my PS3 in for the repair and they advised me that it could take up to 1 week if they had to order any parts, 2 days after booking the console in i had a phone call advising me that it was ready to collect. At pure amazement i went back to the store and took the console home... My console is still running perfectly fine and cant fault the service that advance tec has provided me.

I've always bought from Advance Technologies be it components for my pc or peripherals. This time round I had a problem with my iPad. The screen on my iPad was cracked and needed replacing I took it to them and they booked it in for me and told me it would be ready in 3 - 4 days.
In 3 days I get a call that my iPad is ready and it only cost me an amazing £65 for new screen and fitting.
I was very very amazed and yet again they have given me a fantastic service. So I decided the best thing I can do for them is write a review for them as this company really dose look after there customers. I would defiantly recommend to anyone to give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

I found this company first rate- they kept me fully informed at all stages of the ordering and delivery processes, with a prompt and efficient service even giving me a one hour delivery window in advance, without having to be asked - almost no other company I have ever ordered from has managed to do so and I order products from multiple suppliers all the time as a part of my job. After a number of phone calls and emails being passed around to various "other departments" I am still no nearer to getting the board I payed for.

Just bought a basic AMD PC kit to build with my son, delivery was spot on and easily rescheduled when inconvenient. Thought that they had left out a power lead for the HDD which they quickly offered to send out to me - then found it was there all the time!
Ordered a Corsair Force 3 60gb from here, due to my original website being out of stock. Advance tec were only a few pounds more expensive. Shipping was quick and the item came 2 days after. But be warned! The item you purchase, may not be the item you expect it to be at first glance. A large ish box (Compared to the size of a SSD!) arrived, and the box it self was for a 500gb External harddrive. The box came opened (The seal on it was broken) and this had me worried. They had delivered the wrong thing, and the seal was broken. They wouldn't take it back. But there was something in the box, something unsecured that was moving lots. The seal was already broken, and for a hard drive that seemed unsafe to package it like that so I took a look inside the box.
There it was! My SSD. Brand new, as described. All was fine after the little scare. Not sure why it wasn't just delivered as is, to save shipping costs and confusion at the customers end, but still.
Good company, just make sure to check inside the box!
Due to the Christmas period i was getting worried as i had ordered a saitek pro flight yoke for my sons Christmas present and was let down by a few other online retailers. However i called Advance Tec on Monday to check they had stock, i was assured that they did so i placed my order online. At 6pm that evening i received an email from their courier company advising me that my parcel would be with me on the Tuesday. Come Tuesday i received a further text notification from DPD advising they would be arriving between 9:45 and 10:45 that morning. at 10am i received my item!!!.. Advance tec i have to say i will defiantly be shopping with you guys again. excellent service.

Ordered the AT-FX Polaris rig from Advancetec, delivery was fast. Unfortunately it was damaged in transit but Lee (the tech manager) was more than happy to have the whole rig collected the next day for repairs.
A few days later it arrived back at my house, and again - damaged in transit. Ofcorse I was frustrated but it was with the delivery company. I spoke to Lee again and I said I would just bring the rig down to the Advancetec shop in Rochdale to have it sorted once and for all.
Lee and the Advancetec team were very welcoming to me when I arrived and the Polaris rig was looked at right away, it was the graphics card that was faulty and it was replaced with no fuss.
The customer service was outstanding from the first order to when I left the shop. Very happy with the way the problems were delt with, always had email updates, communication is obviously essential when dealing with online orders and they delivered 100%

I've used Advancetec before and have been impressed with the speed of their service and helpfulness of their advice.
This time, I placed an order a week ago asking for parts to be delivered to my office. I was immediately contacted and asked to send a letterhead from my work with the order details for 'security reasons'. I queried this and had another prompt response confirming I had to do it.
Having sent it, I've heard nothing back despite sending 4 e-mails now to check whether it has been received and whether my order is now being processed. Their swift responses have turned to stoney silence for nearly 4 days and I have had no indication that my order will be completed.
I will not be using this company again.
There are a plenty of PC systems web sites out there, all offering best prices and good quality service. very few actualy deliver what they promise.
Advance Technologies was recommended to me and I was in the market for a motherboard upgrade and thought I'd give www.advancetec.co.uk a try, best thing I done for a while. The website offers a huge amount of details on the product you buy, which really help to makeup your mind on what you want to purchase.
The help and detail on the website proved to me that this wasn't a Mickey Mouse company. All that remained was to see whether they delivered the same level of service. I placed the order, which was nice and easy. Within an hour received a an email confirming my purchase. I also received a text messages updating me on the status of my delivery and when I could expect delivery.
My purchase was delivered in time slot promised, very well packed.
This company goes the extra few miles, I recommend Advance Technologies to anyone in the market for PC Goods with my eyes closed. You might find better prices but I'll be surprised if you find better customer service.
I spent a lot of time researching for a new PC which I could customise myself. I found www.advancetec.co.uk and thier system section is very good as I could pick and choose what I wanted and it was very clear on what I would be getting. I also liked the total care packages for extended warranty just for that peice of mind if somthing would go wrong.
I placed the order online and then rang them to confirm what I had ordered. The sales person was really good and courteous and confirmed to me they recived the order and what I had ordred and what I would be getting plus gave me a more depth in the gold total care package which I opted for. I was futher told they would call me once the system is build and fully tested, so they could deliver at a time which would be convenient for me.
4 Days later I got a call to say system is ready to be deliverd.It arrived all set up just plug in and power on. I also received the accessories provided with the individual parts, discs, etc. The PC was packed really well to protect the goods during transit.
I feel very confident and pleased about recommending Advance Technologies if you're looking for a new PC.
After Serching high and low I came accross www.advancetec.co.uk and thought I'll give them a go as the systems on the website looked very tempting. Drove down to there premisis very neat and clean I must say had a budget and they offred me the ATFX Tron gave them a deposite to build my system. 3 Days later got a call systems ready you can come and collect.
I am very impessed just bought this rig and boy these guys know what they are doing.

Responce time from ordering online to being dispatched is very fast and if a problem dose arise with any of my orders I make a quick phone call and problem solved, with a replacement item posted in less than an hour.

Don't be fooled by their cheap prices, they make 10 times as much money as you think you are saving by selling you second-hand refurbished items as brand new. I ordered a brand new motherboard through them, which turned out to be at least 6 months old. It stopped working 3 days later, they refused to accept my return claiming it isn't the board I got from them because they only sell "brand new items". Beware.
i bought a product about 5 year ago from you at advance tech four month ago i took it back with a falt hoping that they could repair the card seen as though it was 5 year old. when i went in to the shop i spoke to the sop staff at his name was abeeb he then said very politely we will take care of it and he asked me to go and see lee on the counter he said one moment and hell check on my card lee found out that my card was still under a warrenty my card was a avga 9800 super clock lee said he would send my card back and i would have to wait two weeks. in this time he said i would not recieve any cahrges lee took the card off me and sent it to avga thanks to these two staff members i recieved a avga 570 super clock and i recieved no extra charges this service was outstandin and i thank the shop and its staff.
I wouldn't call myself a computer adept, and you don't have to be- I found out for sure when I got a system built from old parts. These guys know what they're talking about and will go out of their own way to help you out of any technological dialemma. Not only that, but sincere and trustworthy salesmanship does go a long way in building an excellant customer base- these guys have taken more than one step in that direction. For example, I purchased a zalman 850w psu a few weeks ago, and after realising it was the wrong one, wanted to return it (yes- after already opening up the box i.e breaking the seal). I thought it'd be a hassle to explain to them and ask for a refund, but the main dude then Abid Naseem (sorry about the spelling) was an absolute hero. It was an amazing show of customer service when he quickly refunded my zalman for a 1000w psu which I initially wanted to pick up. THANKS ABID!
These guys are amazing, without ANY extra charge what so ever, these guy overclocked my 1090T hex core to a stable 3.8ghx WITHOUT changing the Vcore! These guy really are something else. I'd like to see curry's or PC "WORLD" do that. These guys actually KNOW what they're on about- to be honest that's rare these days. A friend of mine walked into PC world asking for thermal compound when he was building his rig, he came out dumb founded- none of the techies knew what they were on about. But let me tell you, these guys at A.T. are ace. I'm coming back here for upgrades- you can count on that.
