I found the AFerry website easier to use than going direct to the Blue Star Ferry website. We have travelled our chosen route before, so this made selection easier. We booked a ferry for 4 passengers from Piraeus to Astyypalea with a cabin. I would have liked to have a breakdown of costs, rather than just the total cost.
Hi, The site was very easy to use , and i would recomend this to all my friends ,can't wait to travel .Kind Regards.
I was attracted by the 20% offer but to be honest, it made no difference because they offer that discount to anyone over 60 on the Newhaven Dieppe route. It's just a pain to get it though because you have to ring the office in Dieppe (although it's free from a landline). The price for this crossing was the same, £80 here or £100 less 20% on the LD lines website. But I was charged an extra £1 for paying by debit card, but why? LD lines don't charge that!!
No problems with travelling and very helpful when we needed to alter our booking but disappointed with size of on board shop.
Everything went smoothly as usual booking with AFerry. Unfortunately we had to reschedule our passage over to Ireland-this was also done without any fuss! On the journey back to England the weather was wild causing our ferry to be 1 hour late docking at Dublin. Stena didn't keep us informed of the delay which was very annoying!
Very concerned that the full amount of the ferry return trip has been taken from my bank account, but I have yet to receive a booking confirmation, which Iwas told would be with me very shortly. I have been waiting for this now for several weeks.
Aferry.co.uk delivered a great deal to my inbox at exactky he right time. I was really pleased to get this email as I was just about tp pay more for my trip across the channel.
An incredibly useful website.
So. You get on their web site, look for the route you want and select the time frame. Enter the few simple details, remembering your car registration if you are going by car. They send you a confirmation. Simply print it and arrive at the port an hour before departure. Minimal but necessary customs annoyances. Then go on board and off you go. We had to come home early due to illness. Rang up Aferry and they got us sorted on the next ferry. Very informative and very helpful. Difficult to know how they could improve. Am now a regular customer.
very easy to use and does exactly what you need. We always use Aferry to book our trips to the UK
In my opinion if someone wants to charge you for using a debit card, it's as good as going to a shop, buy something for a tenner pay cash and then get charged for using that cash.
That's just silly.
Ferry was comfortable and had good facilities.
The website booking information was confusing and lacked explanation of what is available eg. travel from Rotted to Amsterdam, I only found out about return bus once I'd landed by enquiring with (Dutch) terminal staff. I was preparing to travel by train.
Also when first onboard there was no welcome or explanation of the ship facilities and events.
i booked on line and the website was extremely easy to use. the booking used my credit card and i received the confirmation within minutes of completing the booking. the next step is that the accommodations are correct when we arrive at the ferry...hoping for the best.
All the booking was very easy and simple. Would definately use everytime
I found the booking process easy and efficient.
Easy to book, lots of choice, have already recommended
If only I had realised that this was not the ferry company itself I would have paid much less and avoided paying an amendment fee. Don't use them!!
You were the only site where I could do a completely generic search, i.e. UK to France ferry and all options came up. Your price was also strangely much cheaper (over 50%) than the ferry companies own price.
Booked ferry tickets online. Got email confirmation giving departure as Calais to Dover. This was not what had been booked. The departure points were the opposite of what I had asked for. I phoned to query this and was met with the worst customer service dept I have ever encountered. They would not listen to a thing said and insisted upon 26 quid payment for their mistake. These people will fleece you for as much as they can . Will not make the mistake of using them again. Will go direct to ferry company website. Very little difference if any on price and guaranteed customer service. Deal with these people at your peril. You have been warned.
Make sure you do not make a mistake booking your dates! An incorrect click July instead of June cost me dear. Check your details before confirming the deal.
Straightforward and simple booking process!
We had provisional confirmation for a Ferry Booking by e mail on 25 April in spite of a reply to that e mail from us and 2 phone calls to AFerry we are still awaiting confirmation we were promised e mail and hard copy of which we have had neither.
I have now used Brittany Ferries on two occasions from Plymouth to Roscoff. The booking online was easy and cost of crossing good. The whole experience was excellent. Well done.
Decent website that allows to compare the various ferry operators but unfortunately let down by the additional fees charged to amend a booking (£25 fee when this is free if you booked directly with the ferry company).
I have used AFerry many times as it has a clear and easy to use system. I have never had a problem and would recommend it without reservation.
I was looking for the best choice of ferry crossings to France and AFerry was qucik and easy to use.
Great site for price comparison and ease of booking. I always useAFerry.co.uk
I booked a return ferry journey with Northlink Ferries from Scrabster to Sromness due to leave Scrabster on May 8th and return May 13th. The ferry had engine trouble at this time and all ferry crossings were cancelled until May 24th. Luckily my friend in Orkney informed me of the problem and after a number of phone calls to Aferry and Northlink, all of which gave me unhelpful and misleading information, I booked on another ferry. When I phoned to enquire about a refund and complained about the lack of information the staff member said that all affected customers had been informed by email on 1st May. I have checked my emails and this is untrue. The only positive thing I can say is that I will have a refund. I hope at least this is true.
Just find this site the only way to search with plenty of choice on price and availability!
Aferry.co.uk has this marvellous function which allows you to compare prices in one simple view, not having multiple windows popping up. Booking process is as easy as it could be. Only problem is that if you travel with pets, you cannot book for them. Aferry.co.uk ought to add a choice for pets next to Adults and Children select boxes.
easiest booking and great pricing, bargain. Dover - Calais and back for £29, booze trips are back !!
I was looking to book a single trip from Jersey to St Malo in July. This site was really easy to manage and the booking simple - would recommend and definitely will use site again.
It can be hard to sort out the cheapest ferries- this site saves time and is pretty good at sorting out lowest fares- best of luck!
say no more AAA+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Found this site whilst checking ferry prices ... quick and easy, trustworthy, booked ticket same day as travelling and saved money (spoke to ferry company to check on-the day purchase price) ... would recommend to anybody !
The usual easy and trouble free booking through AFerry. This time Greek island hopping.
My only frustration and annoyance is the final page addition of a £1 fee for using a Debit Card. We have all grown accustomed to fees on Credit Cards because of the commission the seller pays the card companies. But why on Debit Cards?
The webside did the seach for me and i only had to choose what suited me.
