Staff rude about query as to why such exorbitant additional charges were being added when, if booked direct with P&O, they allow amendments within 4hrs (or just turn up) for £20. Operator lied about the ferry being almost booked up - the ferry was less than 1/3 full.
There was a problem making payment over the phone - teller refused to accept that the problem was at aFerry's end and made me make expensive phone calls from Holland to arrange for someone in UK to make the payment after I wired them the cash. Needless to say, there was nothing wrong with the card, as was confirmed by both the bank (said there had been no attempt to charge the card) and the fact that the card worked no problem on several other purchases later that day, both in-store and over phone and internet.
I also received no acknowledgment, invoice or receipt for the extra charges when amending the ferry booking which, as a business user, were absolutely vital to me. I will never use aFerry again as going direct to P&O is much better.
Works well for me booking ferry crossings to he continent. The website is easy to follow and get to where you want to be. I use them often and will continue to do so.
Searching for a reasonable priced ferry to Calais I was amazed to find that AFerry's price was almost half of the others I looked at on line.
Their web site was excellent. Had we had to pay the higher prices quoted I think our trip would have been cancelled.
So thank you AFerry
This website is easy to use, and has a clear layout of all the pricing, companies and even the destinations nearby ( ie Calais & Dunkirk) instead of just the one requested. It's great that it does a price comparison between all the ferry companies and EuroTunnel .
Just need a bit where regular customers can just sign in and the details are already on file.
Gives you lots of options and lets you quickly change details such as times to get the best deal. I have found their prices to sometimes be cheaper than booking direct with the service provider. I don't look anywhere else for deals !!
Better than dealing direct with ferry companies, aferry has saved us lots of money,
is impartial and simple to use, it is the ultimate comparison site and bucket shop
for ferry crossings ! Couldn't recommend it highly enough !!
Often use AFerry to book continental ferry trips. They cover a wide variety of ferry operators routes. Prices are comparable. Web site easy to use.
Thank you AFerry it was so easy to book online with you compared with other sites,
a reasonable price and I have no doubt that I will use your site again,
it is the first time I have used you and DFDS so just looking forward to the crossing.
From the moment I went onto the web site, I was confident that I would be able to find the ferry crossing times that I was looking for. And was very pleased with the ease of compleating the booking. And receiving and be enable to print of the boarding passes.
Brilliant service, will use this webpage in future again and I will recommend it for all my friends...easy menu, so you can choose the right ferry for you in couple of minutes....
Having paid over £60 just to go and see family in the Isle of Wight we booked the wrong date by mistake despite having paid £60 already I had to pay £25 for someone to click a button to change the dates. We will NEVER book through this site again. Disgusted at the cost just to amend a date on a 20min crossing that is not a main crossing or busy.
HAVE USED AFERRY MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS FOR BOOKING FERRY CROSSINGS.TO AND FROM PORTS THROUGHOUT EUROPE WITH OUT ANY PROBLEMS WITH MOST OF THE OPERATORS.HAD SOME DEALS BETTER THAN OFFERED BY OPERATORS.
ALSO FOUND BOOKING SYSTEM AFERRY MORE USER FRIENDLY THAN GOING DIRECTLY OPERATORS SITES ALTHOUGH SOME ARE ALSO VERY GOOD.
THIS IS A TRUE REFLECTION OF MY EXPERIENCE OVER 15 YEARS OF SETTING UP HOMES IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF EUROPE AND CARYIING LOTS OF PERSONAL POSESSIONS
very cheap but efficient and professional service. I booked this thursday lunchtime for an inpromptu 3 day 2 night visit to France. I travelled from Dover on the 8am ferry on the friday. My 3 year old son was happy for the entire trip after finding the soft play area. I managed to purchase all the legal requirements for travelling in France (e.g GB plate, headlight convertors etc). Upon returning to my car i found it already held the GB logo on the number plate, this was returned and kindly refunded on my return journey.
The journey back was delayed by 1 and half hours due to the MASSIVE STORM which was battering most of England. The crew were friendly and kept us well informed of the weather situation and any expected delays with docking. A delight to travel with and great value for money, i can see plenty more 3 day city breaks on the horizon.
I've used this site before, and therefore trusted them to give a good deal. After I made this booking, I checked with the ferry company and found that I could get a better, more flexible ticket for a few quid less. I'll book direct with Stena next time.
Decided to travel to France at 2-15pm and by 2.20 had found what I wanted, at the price I wanted and everything was booked. No doubt I could have got similar service on other websites but I now know AFerry.co.uk did perform.
Hi, we are not traveling because one of our daughter's passport expired!!! You spouse to highlight on your booking page to check passport expiry!!! Our Disneyland trip is gone in mud and also money!!!!! We bought non refund
