looking for a cheap crossing to France over the christmas period, I found this a breath of fresh air to have a comparison site to book through. And, when we went back after checking the prices on the following day - we were surprised to find that it was in fact another company who we ultimately booked with as the company that had been cheaper on day 1 were not the cheapest when we went back to book! We will definitely use this site again.
I have made use of your easy booking service on several occasions. So much simpler than the operators system and has more options at no additional charge.
Best price found on Aferry not available anywhere else , even DFDS were not offering this prce
My wife and I have used Aferry many times travelling from Spain to UK and also from France to UK and have always found the service 1st class with every trip being devoid of any problems. We have never hesitated to do our bookings with them and will continue to use them in the future.
A ferry .co is a good site for ferry bookings and offers most services required. They send plenty of email updates and even lower the price when possible after you have saved a booking price - very good.
Although I wanted to travel from Wales to Ireland, I'm not British & wanted to pay in euros. But by clicking the euro option the site would only allow me start my journey in Ireland. Then - having accepted that the real cost to me, after exchange rate differences would add a fair percentage on to the quoted cost - I progessed to the next screen to be greeted by a cheery message saying "Sorry! The cost has now gone up!", and then on the next screen you added £1 for paying by debit card. (& exorbitant amounts were quoted for paying by credit card). I am very unlikely to use this site again.
We have travelled with DFDS many times and have been the last twice through AFerry.
The booking was very easy. My husband is registered as disabled and I can confirm that the treatment that we received from DFDS was excellent. I have already told many friends about AFerry and some have already booked and used AFerry and were very happy
We had to make a car trip from the UK to France at short notice to deal with a problem that had suddenly arisen and needed our attention. As our destination was Central France and we live in the west of England near the Welsh border, we were not sure whether to make the Dove-Calais crossing or depart from one of the other ports like Poole, Southampton or Newhaven. AFerry simplified the decision we had to make at short notice because their site enables you to easily compare pricing and availability for different crossing dates and times for different routes.
travelled with "my ferry link",very quiet, both directions,17/10-21/10/2013,late morning going, early evening coming back. arrived early for return ferry as journey took less than expected, but was not put on earlier sailing had to wait 2 hours, then ferry was running late.choice of food limited, but staff very pleasant.would probably choose p+o next time.
I spent hours on my computer looking for a cheap and convenient crossing ticket to Dover. I failed. So turned to Aferry page and my problem was solved instantly.
I accidently booked twice, but it was efficiently sorted. Thanks to all.
Very very easy to go through the online booking. However, when came to payment it kept asking me for the same information. I gave up and at that point it told me my booking was successful????
That said, i promptly get an email confirming my booking.
We booked Hull to Europort (Rotterdam) online. The website was good & clear. The email confirmation arrived timely.
However were were unable to book the bus transfer to Amsterdam online and had to phone. Not a major problem, though perhaps it could have been highlighted in confirmation email?
The main problem was that the confirmation email for the bus tickets only confirmed money being taken from our account - not that we had booked bus tickets. We phoned to ask for a confirmation of bus tickets and still didn't receive anything. Its just a matter of reassurance for the customer.
I found the price was the same rate on all the sites i tried but AFERRY offered freebies thrown in ,
We booked a return trip to the Isle of Wight and at the end of the day were early for our booked ferry and the guys were very happy to put us on the earlier sailing which we really appreciated.
Internet booking good. Options great. It all worked without too much frustration. Didt get my gifts though. We found the food on th ferry highly overpriced for what it was. Captive market all that ....
Really easy process to book the ferry. Great how the website shows you alternative sailings and overall prices which are better than buying the ticket direct from the company. Will be using again in the future.
I checked availability early one morning, found a price and ferry, and went offline to consult the family. When I went back online later that day to book the same ferry the price had doubled. What a disappointment! Cheated!
