We journeyed to Gatwick during the afternoon on the day before we were due to fly to St.Lucia - no pressure or heavy traffic. Arrived at the airport where parking was easy, bus arrived within minutes - from parking to checking in at hotel less than 10 minutes.
We had an extremely enjoyable evening, good food and a couple of drinks in pleasant surroundings.
In the morning we strolled into airport and spent a leisurely couple of hours chilling in the No. 1 lounge, where we enjoyed breakfast snacks, tea and coffee. An excellent way to start our holiday.
Large room with 2 double beds great service to and from airport worth the money would recommend this hotel
Wonderful service & value.
Will certainly be using again & again.
Thank you
The hotel room was adequate, after all, we're only going to sleep in it. Trying to get anything to eat or drink was a nonsense. Stood 20 minutes at the bar trying to get a drink. At 8.15 the restaurant was full and places wern't available until 9p.m. Not wanting to eat too late, we opted for a bar snack. Big mistake!! Ordered the 2 burger meals; there were a few 'technical difficulties' - the computer was not playing. As the kitchens were only adjacent to the bar, we couldn't understand why the staff couldn't simply walk through and give the order. The snacks didn't appear in the first 20 minutes, so we asked the staff. Still computer issues. After 40 minutes, we asked again; still no joy. After an irate dicussion with the staff, the meals finally appeared 65 minutes after ordering, at 9.25!! So much for not eating late. The meal itself was quite acceptable, but don't go along and expect to get served within an acceptable time frame!!
the hotel was as expected no nasty surprises in the room, however there wasn't much around in the food steaks. The whole package was pretty good value for money.
Fantastic!!! Hampton hotel Liverpool. With easy access to airport. Just leave your car on hotel car park book in and settle for the night. Breakfast was superb for early start. Helpful staff.
When booking the hotel we had no idea which one it was. Room was standard, but clean and the restaurant and pub served good food. Wake up call on time, so was transfer to and from airport. Car had been "stored" off site and it had an extra 20 miles on the clock, but for the price it was a bargain. Will use this service again
The car park was very full as their was an Indian wedding taking place and it was difficult to find a space. On arrival the male staff standing around, did not offer to help us struggling with our cases through the doors, despite one of our party being on crutches. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all necessary ammenities. The meal was very expensive, but good quality. We did not have the breakfast. The bus service to the airport was very efficient and easy. The staff working at the reception desk were very helpful.
Very happy with hotel, room very comfortable. Found a lovely pub serving great food just around the corner. Will stay again
thankyou we've never done this before with your help it was perfect. We got married at gretna green stayed in the ramada hotel on Glasgow airport got an early morning call went to airport used the VIP lounge which we arranged through you then went on an amazing holiday thankyou .
Fantastic hotel, really good service for food and drink, very good breakfast.
Very reasonable price for car and hotel, overnight stay.
Will certainly use again!
Very good hotel stay and excellent pick up from airport on return.
The hotel was very close to the airport and offered an easy check in service and place to leave the car. The bus to the hotel was very busy and only had one exit making it quite chaotic when being dropped off at the south terminal.
Best way to start a hoilday. So relaxed when you get to the airport no stress.
Excellent Hotel, Good customer relations, Good food. Quiet location so could get a good nights sleep. Only onecriticism, lift to second floor not always working properly and appeared to be very old and delapidated.. My 65 year old friend ended up carrying her case up 2 fights of stairs.
Our arrangements were complicated, and we needed to rely heavily on the Stay and Park facility offered by the hotel. Our party consisted of 5 adults and 2 children, so we booked 2 rooms overnight, and the 5 of us not going to the Coldplay concert ate at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, the evening meal was very good, the children were well catered for, and at 4.15am our driver was there waiting to take us to the airport. We were able to leave our cars at the hotel car park for the 12-day duration of our stay abroad, and despite heavy traffic due to the Download Festival, we were collected promptly from the airport and transferred to the hotel car park.
Everything went smoothly, the overnight stay at the premier inn was very comfortable and the reception staff were very helpful, the car parking was easy and there was a bus straight away to the terminal and the driver was very helpful and told us which bus to get on the way back. Very impressed and good value for money.
Yes it was fine. Only one night prior to early flight. No complaints. Only people we dealt with were Reception Staff who were very friendly and obliging.
This is the second time that I have used the park /fly services of the Sofitel Hotel at Gatwick. Both the hotel and its park/fly services are of a very high standard. Should they continue to offer such good services then I will always use them in preference to all others,
hotel was lovely, staff at reception very friendly and helpfull, room spacous, car safely parked and looked after throgh out our whole holiday, but restaurant on an evening was appauling, staff quite rude also manager on shift not helpfull at all, booked table at 7, was asked drinks ,food etc quite quickly, but the had to go to bar to get our own drinks, kept asking where the food was, to be told there was a problem in kitchen , was asked about another drink whilst we waited, which yet again we had to go collect from bar as still hadnt received after 20 mins, i then approached manager on shift who told us to sit down and wait as other people were also waiting like ourselfs, which i found quite rude, 1member of staff was lovely, and appoligised for our wait and offered for us to go elsewhere if we would prefer, but as there were no other places around to get food, unless it meant getting our car out of secured parking to drive further afield, she then got us another drink and brought it to our table, we had noticed other people arriving and had been served drinks and then food within half an hour i then approached the manager again, to ask about a compaint procedure to be told i'd receive an email if not happy, and that there were only 2 people on tables that had arrived after us and been served before us, thee was only 4 in my family, after 2 hours we eventually received our meal and the streak was under cooked and quite red/raw looking when i had asked for my steak to be done medium,, the friendly staff apolised and then told us we wouldnt be billed for our food, which i think was a nice offer from staff, but should have ben from the manager with an apology not the serice we did receive
Hotel was nice enough for what we wanted but Holiday extras need to re-phrase there selling techniques, as the £2.10 for the airport bus is actually the local bus that would run in any City. This was very mis -leading(when booking) and the bus stop was a fair walk from the Hotel! The Taxi(hotels) charged £18 each way which, so it was not as cheap as it seemed and a bit of a scam really - half a mind to call trading standards! If it was pointed out fine but it was not- more covered up!
We stayed at this hotel because we had recently stayed at the premier inn near to Manchester airport and had a really good experience particularly with the £22 meal deal.
However on this occasion the experience was less than satisfactory as the meal on the evening was fine but the breakfast looked like it had been cooked on a poorly cleaned grill or frying pan and took an age to arrive, this of course may have been because of a fire alarm (false) sounding between 7 & 8am causing disruption to all residents and leading to the majority arriving at the dining room at the same time.
Easy hotel search with instant booking online translated into a completely seamless check-in experience on arrival at the hotel. Great room plus parking for the duration of our trip all for a very good rate. First class all round.
£89 is good for a nights stay and parking for 9 days. But the hotel was tatty - curtains ripped and falling down and valance on bed ripped - I tripped over. It was clean enough but as a paying customer I don't expect the above no matter what I pay.
The hotel is a stone throw from airport, food and room excellent, staff so attentive and friendly would highly recommend to anyone. Parking is just down the road, I drove my car there got bus back to airport walked to hotel and then walked to airport with cases after b/fast only got bus back as it started raining. I must compliment all the staff here from reception to dining room fantastic service.
We had two visits to Premier Inn in a week. One was planned one wasn't. The second one was after a 8hr. flight delay so was unable to catch the train home.We were treated as if we were old friends and was no problem. Will be recommending Premier Inn, Manchester Airport to friends.
We booked a family room and got 2 adjoining rooms. Bonus.
Hotel is nice, clean, we had a swim in the pool and a meal at the bar. Airport transfer were reliable and well organised both ways. Would defo use again.
I travel frequently around the UK and can honestly say this is the worst hotel I have ever had the displeasure of staying in.
For starters avoid the food, with prices that make the Hilton menu look like a bargain you would expect a decent meal. Well unless you like your food cremated avoid.
The room - ok I really do not know what to start with. Our
Room was so hot even with all the windows open I would propose they rename the rooms, saunas!. Secondly I don't expect a vegetable / mould patch in the extremely dismal and depressing bathroom. Sockets falling off the crumbling walls.
Staff - must have just skipped the customer service manual and gone straight to the chapter on being ignorant and unhelpful.
Look I'm not being picky here. I stay in Days Inn hotels and Travel Lodges as well as 4 and 5 star hotels depending on my plans however no one deserves to endure the pain of this crumbling place they have the cheek to call a hotel.
That's my oppinion. I hope it helps.
It was very basic. Torn carpets, everything looking very tired. I only had to be there for a few hours so didn't mind too much but it was way over priced for what you get. Wouldnt go back.
My check-in was really smooth and efficient and I was pleased with my room. there was a comfy sofa to watch TV from and I could control the room temperature. The bed was a comfy good sized double with a choice of pillows. I was a little disappointed there was no bath-I was staying the night before an early flight and had looked forward to a relaxing bath but this may have been my oversight when I booked. I went to eat in the restaurant which was quite soulless as there was no visible evidence food was on offer and eventually I realised I had to order at the bar. The menu did not offer anything I particularly fancied so I chose salad and chips. The salad was awful. It had clearly been emptied from a bag into a dish without any washing. It tasted stale and a bit dirty and was very dry (except a few slices of raw onion and two small tomatoes) and very bitter. I asked for some olive oil but was told they didn't have any! So, I am guessing that none of the menu items are cooked from fresh. The chips were, well, just chips, which I couldn't finish just on their own. I told the Manager I didn't enjoy the salad - he was very nice about it and gave me a refund for the salad. Next morning, I was disappointed with breakfast as I anticipated a similar breakfast to Premier Inn (the hotels are very similar in price and in this instance next door to each other) a good range of cooked general breakfast items including bacon, tomatoes, hash browns and mushrooms. But it was pan baked scrambled eggs, beans and meat sausage (alongside cereals and fruit and bread) served again in the unwelcoming restaurant area. So next time I am likely to book a Premier Inn stay if I use the hotel before a flight again.
The hotel was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The car parking arrangements were really convenient. We simply left the car at the hotel and they dropped us off at the airport. On our way back we simply called them from arrivals and they delivered the car back to us within 10 mins. Great service!
This was ok ,good parking a bonus .Very clean and rooms were comfortable.
Relaxing way to start your holiday, once the car is parked up, your checked in, its time for a nice meal and adrink.a stress free way to start your hols
Stopped in the hotel After a long flight back from Egypt would recommend this hotel very pleasant room we had was small but a place to rest for the night was good and breakfast was good bit expensive though at 10 pounds per plate!
Booking the airport hotel was a definite benefit. For the price of parking at an airport, bolting on the hotel and doing it in one deal only added a few pounds to the total. Let us not worry about getting to the airport on time (as we arrived the day before). And meant we didn't have to remember where we put the car. Hotel was amazing with quality food at the restaurant was top quality.
Hotel good Car returned with all setting changed and seat set so that I couldnt get in radio on full volume with a new radio station to me.??
A comfortable room, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and use again.
Quite disappointing all round. The instructions given by you to reach the Chequers Hotel were wrong-you gave wrong motorway junction. On arrival at Chequers the receptionist was unwelcoming. We were told that the restaurant was fully booked that evening. It was 8 pm and was empty. The 2 receptionists couldnt agree when the bar stopped serving food. 8-30 or 9. When we went into the bar the electrics went off-the staff said the same had happened the previous evening. No food was available and nobody seemed to care less. After a 4 hour drive we were tired and hungry. A local pub was much more helpful. Whilst they had closed their kitchen they were able to provide a pizza and we spent an enjoyable evening there and £50. Chequers in my opinion at best warrants 1 star. We will not stay there again.
excellent drop off and pick up went very well, hotel very clean and breakfast was lovely, would definitely use again
