A straight forward deal and good value for money
I attempted to find out if the Canaries were covered on the Travel + annual policy both by e mail and live chat. I know the e-mails were recd with read receipts but no response after 3 days. The live chat took so long I thought Jo was asleep. I tried again 10 minutes later and did get a responce, albiet still very slow, telling me that it was covered by this policy.
Really I shouldn't have to ask which geographical areas are covered, it should be clear in your documentation.
I just hope the rest of the company act more responsively.
Unfortunately there are not that many insurance companies that will cover conditions such as Crohn's Disease. However even though AllClear would supply travel insurance for myself and my wife, we found them expensive. My wife has suffered from Crohn's Disease for some 23 years and found the questions being asked were too restrictive. She believes more detailed questions would enable the insurance companies to prove a more suitable, cost effective policy that would benefit all parties. Another suggestion she has is that Insurance companies, such as AllClear, should provide policies, for example, that cost in excess of £800 (as it did in our case) but if a claim is not made then half of the premium is returned to the customer.
Absolutely recommend all clear insurance form was very easy do understand and the price very good value specially for a year and with a pre existing illness.
Almost immediate quote I was extremely impressed and will definately recommend them and am considering other insurances like life insurance but not sure if they do this
The website was very easy to use - however the medical questions were common across all websites - so I was familiar with the format and this aved time.
Had a bit of trouble getting the e-documents but the problem was resolved after a few telephone calls, so no real complaint here.
The experience was very favourable. The process of getting the travel insurance was very easy and straight forward. Quick and not too many qustions to answer.
The policy documents - very concise and easy to follow.

I have purchased travel insurance from All Clear before. It would have been helpful to have been able to recall my previous application which had all the relevant conditions and medication etc on nad modify this, if necessary, rather than having to start from scratch.
My elderly farther in law recently died on holiday in Greece, and all clear travel insurance were useless. Left my poor mother in law to deal with the whole situation on her own. In the end my mother in law had to enlist the help of the British embassy in Greece to help. The first thing they did was tear a strip out of All Clear for treating my mother in law so badly.
Have a look on line to see if you can find a happy customer that had to make a claim, i couldn't find one anywhere.
I found dealing with Allclear insurance a welcome breath of fresh air when arranging my travel insurance! I had a heart attack 2 and a half years ago and it makes you feel like an outcast when trying to get holiday insurance as most companies just don't want to know! Allclear made me feel normal again! My wife is a GP and deals with many patients with per-existing conditions who want to get travel insurance. She has recommended Allclear to many and they have all been absolutely delighted with the service and excellent cover they receive.
This is the second time i have used All Clear and found them very good. However questions can be a little difficult ie if tablets are there to keep you stable rather than are they for this purpose or that purpose, mine are just to maintain but I start questioning myself and whether I am giving the right answer.

This is the second year that we have purchased holiday insurance from AllClear . The price was very good for the medical condition we were covering. We haven't needed to claim so can't give any feedback on that part of the policy.
Ok, "the next bit" would be having to use the insurance so I can only comment on the process.
Being "newbies" to the travel insurance market I tried the usual searches. In all but a few I went through the whole screening process only to end up with "We are unable to offer cover ...". This response included some which "specialised" in over 65s with health issues. Given that I have been stable for some time it was an extremely frustating experience and some of the prices were HIGH in the extreme.
A friend suggested I try All Clear and there it was - a nice clear site with common-sense questions/supplamentary questions and a sensible choice of policy types and prices.

Having been diagnosed with a medical problem that will be with me for life, I had to find new travel insurance to cover me for this condition. I tried confused.com, looking for the best deal around, but this was actually not so easy to navigate forward and back when I was trying to input data. So I gave up. That was last week. I met a friend on Thursday who recommended AllClear.

I was looking for medical insurance for our holidays at Christmas/New Year. I compared loads on line and phoned AllClear. The girl on the phone explained it would be cheaper to book it online as there was a discount. I was a bit unsure, with me being a novice silver surfer. Anyway it was really simple and I did it. I have had heart problems 10 years ago and I needed angioplasty and a stent, since then it seemed that no travel insurance company would touch me, and if they did cover me they would exclude my existing conditions. When I have found one or two they would charge more than £400 to cover me for everything, then I heard of AllClear and their website was easy to use and I had cover in minutes.......Job done and for less than a third of what others wanted.

Having suffered a heart attack at 51yrs of age it became more important than ever to have holiday insurance.At the beginning the difference between ordinary holiday insurance and med.conditions insurance in price was miles apart, but it was I believe a necessary expence. we are now 5years down the road since my heart attack and I have had no further problems, but what happened 5years ago is allways at the back of my mind. Having suffered no further problems the price difference now is much smaller,so even though our next holiday is only a short break to jersey as far as I am concerned, ALLCLEAR, I wouldn't go on holiday with anyone else!
Getting travel insurance when you are over 65 ,relatively young at heart and as fit as one could wish is an ordeal . Just try telling companies that you are 67. Sorry. ..no can do. With all clear , although the premium can be. Bit higher ,, there is immediate acceptance. Even with pre existing medical conditions. Thank god for this type of company. Why are others so shy at assisting our older people.

All Clear Medical Travel Insurance has a common sense approach to medical insurance. Simple online process and easy to follow forms and very competitive pricing. I would recommend the company based on price and simplicity.
I have used AllClear travel insurance a number of times and have found the online process easy to use, pricing to be competitive and the service (providing documentation) to be efficient and first class. Thankfully, I have never had to claim but if the 'up-front' service is anything to go by then I anticipate the after-sales service will be excellent.
