it looks awesome, hard work to put together as the wood is difficult to screw into as its real wood. my only critisism is that the wood is a fair bit darker in person than on the picture, hence 4 stars not 5.
My order from allure furnishing took 2 weeks to be dispatched (although their web site stated 2 days!) and when it arrived it had the wrong handles (metal instead of wood). I emailed several times to request the correct handles be posted to me with no response. I have phoned their offices at least 8 times, holding for in excess of 20 minutes and have never had a call answered. I have left numerous voice messages and again have had no response. Basically their customer service is non existent. I would not recommend allure furnishing to my worst enemy (which is a shame because the product is quite good quality (just not what I ordered)). Very disappointed and angry!
I'm afraid this is yet another review to say that the service if something goes wrong is simply unacceptable. Our furniture was delivered damaged, but Allure refused to remedy the situation, simply saying that the damage must have been caused by the courier. Apparently there is no remedy against the courier because we signed for delivery. This is completely incorrect - the goods were delivered damaged and we informed Allure by email within 2 days. Unfortunately it seems we have no remedy unless we were prepared to sue!
update: it's simply wrong to say that goods which the seller says must have been damaged by the courier are our problem because we signed for delivery - consumers can't be asked to sign away their rights in the way this company suggests: http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/problem/i-received-damaged-goods-in-the-post-what-can-i-do .
We were very happy with the price, communication before delivery and the speed of the delivery itself. But after putting the computer desk together we found that some of the screws were missing, meaning that we can't put the handles on the drawers or the door - making it diffiult to actually open and access anything we may want to put in the desk.
I received numerous emails telling me my opinion mattered and asking me to write a review yet have not received a reply to any of the 3 emails I have sent requesting that they provide the missing parts and when I tried to call them (on several occassions) I was on hold for up to 30 minutes and unable to actually speak to anybody there. So my opinion apparently only matters if it is positive and I don't have a problem that I would like them to deal with. Such a shame because the whole process started well, but I will be extremely unlikely to purchase from them again.
We ordered an oak corner display cabinet after struggling to find what we liked locally. They said delivery would be 3 to 5 working days which was amazing and we actually picked the day we wanted it delivered. The delivery man were in contact with us on the day and they even unwrapped it so we could check that every thing was ok. It was wrapped very securely especially the glass shelves. We are so pleased with the quality and so glad to display our ornaments once again. Would definitely recommend them.
I am awaiting for the second part of the delivery which was returned as was damaged product. I am calling the customer service everyday and leaving the message. The customer service cannot give any feedback and just say that somebody will call back. This is wastage of the customer time. I have sent so many emails, but most of them bounce back. The situation is very frustrating. I would be very careful ordering product from this company.
I got response that the second parcel will be dispatched next day but same has not been done till date. I have send number of emails without response. I am not impressed with the customer care.
16/12/13 No delivery of the missing parcel. Shameless company. Does not bother about customers. Its is scam. 19/12/13.product ordered on 30/11/2013. Only one parcel received still awaiting for second parcel. I am stuck, cant buy another product. Now will apply for refund through credit card company.I have never faced such poor service. I will never order any product from this company. Hopeless
Broken parts have to be reported within 24 hours, which is often difficult. I did and weeks later still waiting for a call back/email to confirm they are sending the part, from the moment they acknowledged the part is broken they have gone quiet. Very poor. They use a third party call answering service who can give you no details just pass on the message. On the other hand the product was ok for the money, packaging poor hence broken part.
UPDATED: Leapt into action once I posted complaint on this site and facebook, first time they replied or responded in 3 emails and 2 phone calls...way too long, way too quiet, this is not an apology this is glossing over the fault, you went quiet...you had a chance to contact me 5 times!
Even though a website and customer service phone number are provided there is no customer service for this company.
The only response I have received from this company was when I emailed them for an approximate delivery date which was stated at two days. Its a month later and after numerous phone calls and emails I have received no response. The phone line provided on the website is an external company who cannot answer your questions or put you through to management.
I am now in a paypal dispute with the company. I have requested cancellation of the order. Since opening the dispute they have provided tracking and miraculously shipped it on the day of the dispute (despite my cancellation request). I no longer want the item as I have purchased elsewhere and will be refusing delivery. Terrible company, even if you find a cheap deal it's not worth it.
