I've booked quite a few hotel stays with Alpha Rooms and have always found the procedure to be simple, efficient and quick.
This time, I made a ridiculous mistake and booked accommodation for the wrong night.
Alpha Rooms were very helpful indeed and helped me to rectify the error.
I was very impressed and a special thank you to Eddie who was great.
I booked and paid for one night at the Prince of Wales Hotel with Alpharooms. When I arrived at the hotel I was told they had no record of the booking and I would have to pay again if I wanted to stay. I refused to pay again. I telephoned Alpharooms but they were unable to help. I have asked Alpharooms repeatedly to refund my money but they are simply ignoring my emails.
I'm still waiting for you to resolve this matter. I have emailed you on 5 separate occasions and you haven't replied.
Stayed for 2 nights at the Molina Lario Hotel. Positioned opposite the new marina and just steps from the cathedral and old town so is as central as you can get in Malaga. You can get the train or express bus from the airport, the latter having a stop just across the road and both are cheap and regular. No need for taxis.
Hotel is very modern and comfortable. You can upgrade on arrival for 11 euros per night which gave us a good sized room with a view of the cathedral and marina. Amazingly not much traffic noise either. Whisky decanter in room and kettle with tea and coffee as well as bathrobes. 2 sofas in room and a huge comfy bed. (ask for a mattress topper). Gorgeous bathroom with good amenities, albeit the lighting wasn't very bright for using the make-up mirror.
Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Only downside was there was a wedding reception using the rooftop area on the Saturday night so it was out of bounds for a few hours. Also, ac came directly over the bed which was louder than expected and so had to keep being turned off. Overall great though and would return.
No problems with Alpharooms. Would certainly use again if price was right.
Before I start, I would like to say I have used Alpharooms before and had no problems whatsoever. This time however, was a very bad experience.
I planned a trip to Liverpool back in August to go and watch the football with my mates. Something we hadnt had the chance to do before as of the distance we live from the city. So I decided to book with Alpharooms as I have used them before on 2 occasions and had no problems as all.
I booked our hotel (The Liner @ Liverpool) and received confirmation straight away about our booking. I then received our accomodation vouchers a couple of days later when the full payment had left my account. I printed off our details and waited for the day of the match to arrive (oct 5th).
Saturday 5th October. We leave for our 4 hour car journey to Liverpool. We get to the Hotel around 2 hours before the match @ 3pm. so plenty of time to relax. We get to the car park, gather our bags and walk to the hotel reception with accomodation vouchers in hand. The receptionist asked for our reservation name and she looked through the system and found nothing. She then took our vouchers and proceeded upstairs to check thier offline records. She returned 10 minutes later and confirmed that the Hotel was fully booked and Alpharooms should have never have take our booking. Infact the Hotel fired off an Email to Alpharooms directly after our booking back in August telling them that the Hotel was full. But this information never got filtered back to us from Alpharooms. The only correspondance I had from them was an email a week ago, saying that 'your trip is only a week away', so we would never of guessed that there was a problem with the booking. The receptionist then rang Alpharooms where they continued to blame the hotel and vise versa. But Aplarooms took our money and left us with no acommodation. Alpharooms took my mobile number and said they would get back to me asap. We had an hour to get to the football, with no accomodation and all the stress of this going through our heads.
We were in the Taxi on the way to the match and I received a phone call from AR saying that they had found us another hotel and would you like us to book it for you. I replied 'yes, just get it done and send me a confirmation when you have sorted it.
10 minutes before Kick off I get another answerphone message saying I need to ring AR. Upon doing this, they tell us that they still have no accommodation for us. Byut this time im getting pretty irate. its now 5 mins before kick off and we still have no accomodation. So we tell AR to ring me after the football and only get hold of me when you have sorted something, otherwise I dont want AR ruining the football for me aswell. Half time I finally recieve a text message and answerphone message. The text confirmed we had accomodation booked at our original hotel (which was apparently fully booked only hours before). I also received a cheery message from AR saying ' Enjoy the football' and 'Have a good day'.......Which really hacked me off,as I havent been able to enjoy the match as we were in limbo and not sure we would have anywhere to stay. Not even an apology. Its safe to say that AR ruined my weekend and my first match watching my team play. I didnt enjoy the football as I couldnt relax and we couldnt have a drink because we didnt know if we would be driving home after the match.. Its safe to say, that I probably won't book through Alpharooms again. The Liner hotel staff however were very accomodating and professional in thier manor.
I have just come back from a great holiday in benidorm helped by alpharooms . i have traveled with them before and there always on time and try and get you to your hotel as fast yet safe as pos . there busses are always clean and drivers a great help. give them a try you wont regret it .
This hotel has everything you need. Great location, great views, walk on to the beach from hotel, great food in the restaurant. It will be very hard to find a gem like this for the price.
Booked hotel as price was very tempting but that is where it stops.
Having booked , paid for and received voucher for hotel was all excited about holiday.
Eight days before departure, received email to say due to "stop sales" reservation could no longer be fulfilled as originally booked and confirmed, alternative accommodation had been offered at a different location, which did not suit and was a lower rated hotel than one originally booked , in the end the cost of hotel was refunded

I chose the accommodation at Pins Platja partly because there was no mention of a breakage deposit before booking. However as soon as I paid up the deposit, I was most annoyed to see that a deposit of 120 euros was required on collection of the key. As a pensioner I am hardly likely to go on the rampage and do that much damage!! I shall be even more annoyed if my deposit is not refunded before I leave Pins Platja at the end of our holiday, as I can't afford to leave it behind!!! I sincerely hope that you will be able to reassure me on this matter.

on the 12/9/13 on manage my booking notified non customer service ([name]) of flight no change .......on the 13/9 informed that the transfer company had been advised and I will be informed when to re-print my transfer documents........21/9 asked again......no reply......24/9 asked again....no reply......28/9 guess what ....no reply
bit of a shame really after such a good start but customer service post booking is just as important .
I have used alpharooms many times over the years to book accomodation in several different countries, I have always felt the prices are second to none and have never had a problem at any point in the process.
I would certainly recommend Alpha Rooms to friends and family. I couldn't believe how cheap the deals are. I received brilliant customer service, which was a surprised considering the reviews I read beforehand made me very skeptical about this company. Very much looking forward to our holiday :)
Just retired. Was dubious about fixing up holiday on net. Always used travel agents before. Never again after this. Compared Alpharooms with using Skyscanner, Booking.com and taxi quotes. Alpharooms worked out cheaper and was so, so easy. Never going to holiday any other way in future.
Booking with alpharooms is so easy and straightforward, even for a technophobe like me! The choice of accomodation in the resort I wanted to stay was wide and varied. Information provided was clear and gave me the confidence to make the right choice for my needs. I appreciated being able to read feedback from others who had stayed there and was particularly pleased about the opportunity to put in special requests, such as seaview and disabled access. The steps throughout the booking process were extremely straightforward and, what I really liked was the almost immediate confirmation and accomodation vouchers returned by email. This is the fifth time I have booked with alpharooms now and, having compared with other sites, I find them very competitive and good value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending alpharooms to everyone.
For the hotel we stay at there is a comprehensive list of room types, however, it would be useful in some cases to know more about the room. On this occasion, for the first time we noted that the cheapest room offered 'economy half board', but we had no idea what, exactly, this meant. For us, this wasn't really a problem because we have stayed at the hotel we booked for the past 10 years or so and love it.
The booking is easy, however, we receive 2 emails - one booking invoice and other booking itinerary, but only one has the option for a printer friendly printout. It would be helpful if both to offer a printer friendly option.

Good morning Alpharooms, Mr Peter F Young just recently returned from The Los Dalmatas in Benidorm (13 Sep – 20 Sep 2013)
I have been using Alpharooms for booking holidays for several years in fact I only just booked another holiday just before travelling to Benidorm, the reason I use Alpharooms is I have always had terrific service from the company, never any problems, any slight hitches telephone and it is resolved, great service ‘until now’ I never complain about holidays you win some and lose some that’s my general attitude.
On this occasion I must complain, asked for adjoining rooms with sea views which were shown on the accommodation voucher. Arrived in good spirits, myself and my wife were on floor 6, my wife’s sister and her husband floor 11, no adjoining rooms, no sea views, in fact no balcony a side window when you stretched your neck you could see the pool, not what was requested.
Now I realise that we have been given promotional rooms but up until this point I was not aware that a promotional room was actually a single room with a double bed stuck in place of the single bed, the holiday spirit was drained at that moment.
When asked at reception why no adjoining rooms, see your operator that was the answer. Lifts great 4 of them however they would only just about hold four people, if you had bags no chance, or you took a chance.
On arrival only three lifts worked, the other would only go to floor 5 not a major problem for me as I was on the 6th floor, however our travelling partners were on the 11th floor no what I mean, a great deal of time was spent waking up and down stairs unnecessarily or waiting unacceptable times for lifts to arrive. Actually waiting for a lift was slightly quicker that the actual flight so I suppose that was a bonus.
Four star hotel don’t know were that comes from, but as previously stated not normally a complainer, but it nearly ruined the holiday for our first time travelling partners, I would like to know what you are now going to do about this apart from the usual bull about ‘sorry you did not enjoy your holiday etc etc’

I have used Alpha Rooms on several occasions and always found the information given and the website fully informative and easy to use. Would highly recommend using Alpha Rooms - 'like a good friend' it never lets you down.
Booked a holiday in Turkey, received confirmation voucher. When arrived at accommodation told me the room had been cancelled by Alpharooms and this was not uncommon. A real pain when you have spend a long day traveling there. After a lot of hassle, managed to get my room confirmed.
Easy to use, which helps when your not that good with computers. Very cheap!!!! another bonus and have not been let down by them in the past. You know the saying "If it ain't broke don't fix it"
Alpha rooms made my booking so easy. They sent all my information in the post and whenever I needed to check anything, either via e-mail or phone, they were so friendly and helpful. I have never booked a holiday on line before and after booking with alpha rooms, i would have no worries of booking with them again.
we have used alpharooms a few times when booking a hotel. we always find they have the best value for money hotels. Compared to other sites alpharooms is easy to use and has a helpful call center!! its a place i always come to first when looking for a hotel/room...
Overall we were very happy with what we got with Alpha rooms. The price was the best we could find on the net (and we searched for a few hours) The Hotel and description was spot on.
Now the bad part - It was not until we arrived at reception at 11am, with a 7 month old, and a 3 year old after being on the go from 2am, that we were informed that the rooms would not be available until 4pm. That's the last thing we wanted to hear.
However, the hotel staff done their best and got us our room around 2pm. Those are the 3 hours of our holiday that we want to forget.
Other than that - Thank you Alpha rooms.
We have booked a 1 week stay with Alpha rooms to the costa del sol on the 05/10/13 and we have booked the flight/room and transfers so far so good but we will make another review when we return on the whole experience.
