Appalling customer service if something goes wrong

Just made our last amazon order today. Their couriers broke our letterbox in November by ramming a parcel through the door. We chased them once a week for a follow up for 4 weeks as each time they promised an update in 2 days time, but and then complete silence.

My wife then spent 40minutes on their 0843 phone being passed through their service centre escalation chain. The result: a begrudging refund of £12 for the letterbox cover. I've placed more than 200 orders with them in the past 3 years, but am so disgusted with their empty promises to address a simple injustice that I'm now done with them. They have a lot to learn about customer service. Grrr.
