1 doz Titleist PRO V1 2013 balls being offered by Gamola Golf at £40 less 15% on cyber Monday (2nd Dec). American Golf (AG) first refused to match saying (bizarrely) that this was a comparison site. When it was pointed out this was not the case they changed tack and refused to match the 15% discount offer, suggesting that they would only match to the list price. Since the Gamola offer expired at Midnight (a fact that I pointed out to AG "Customer Services") I went ahead and ordered from Gamola. I have ordered from Gamola before and found them to be reliable.
I suggest that you check out: http://www.gamolagolf.co.uk/ and others before ordering from AG.
I have a golf tournament on Sunday (9th June) and on Thursday night (6th June) was trying out the new X-Hot 5 Wood off a friend, decided it needed to go into the bag, easy to hit, sweet off every shot and an ideal low flight yet long.
Rang Ian at American Golf Boucher Road Belfast and explained to him how I was in work today and Tomorrow but needed the club and they didn't offer any overnight postage options, he held it over for me for a friend to collect and even knocked the price down £15. Great customer service and also very friendly!! More companies could take note of this and treat their customers like this, needless to say will be returning to AG again whenever I need more equipment.

Having found the same clubs £50 cheaper in a well known golf retailer in Swindon, I contacted American Golf who came back with a reply saying they couldn't match the price without any explanation .
When I asked the reason why they told me that the the retailer sold 4 - A-Wedge ( 8 irons ) where AG sold 4 to PW & a free A-Wedge ( 8 irons ) that's why they couldn't price match.
I went to the local retailer, and with a little haggle I managed to get a SW ( 9th Iron ) in on the deal.
Poor service and communication from American Golf. Found this very strange especially as they had recently opened a store within a mile of this well known golf retailer.
My advice is shop around before buying from American Golf.
Bought my husband xmas gifts online called the help desk and was told if not suitable take them back to your local american golf shop they will call head office and a credit would be made to my account. However although the web site says that, you in fact take the things to american golf and they send them back and you wait at least 7-10 days and could be even longer the acting manager karis on the help line seems to spend her time disagreeing with any correspondence either by phone or email. I did have one helpful person however took goods back on 26th December told today (4th January) could be another few days. GO ELSE WHERE
I ordered a Taylor Made R9 online and realised I ordered the wrong one within a couple of minutes.
I e-mailed aftersales to cancel (as per their website instructions) and also rang them to ask how they would deal with the gift voucher I used.
I was told the order wasn't placed and would be ignored, regardless of the fact that I have an e-mail confirming my order.
They were very rude and aggresive and If I find that this does go through on my credit card than they had better look out.
Take your business to a better outfit who offers good customer service!
i bought a 340 pound driver at the northwick golf club i used it at the range and it was only shooting 90 yards then i try my other driver and you cant see the ball i went back to the store try to change it for another one or get my money back for get it they dint want to give my money back or change it for another club they are rip offs stay awy from them
I bought a couple of items on-line and was told that one was in the shop so i could pick it up! anyway went to the shop and they dont even stock my item anymore, i was then told about how many other offers they had for the same item for £10 more lol i walked out without buying and thought would just buy from elsewhere.
Yesterday my other 2 items arrived and yes one was fine but the other was just an empty packet!! now wether someone in the warehouse had stolen it or trying to play some kind of joke who knows? i have tried to contact them by phone and all i get is answer machines i left my details over a day ago and no reply and i also sent an e-mail without reply
Careful with their Price Match Guarantee scam. I ordered a fairway wood to pick up from their Purley store. They won't price match the lower price I found at onlinegolf.co.uk (in stock). Wasted my time waiting for the order from American Golf. Just buy from cheaper retailer you found elsewhere. Lesson learned.
