Ordered a new Bosch integrated washing machine on New Years Eve and booked delivery for Friday 2nd, which was very good considering the bank holiday. During the 1st Jan I got an email saying my delivery was expected between 2pm and 6pm, then on the morning of 2nd I received a call from the Appliances Online office and immediately thought uh oh they're going to cancel but no, the caller went through my order and said he could see the delivery was expected around 3.20pm. The call turned into a sales pitch for AO's extended warranty, though there was no pressure to take this out I did say could they email the details and I will think about it (the email was sent pretty much straight away).
At 2pm the delivery driver called to say he was on his way and should be with me in about an hour. A second call from the driver confirmed he'll be there in 5 - 10 minutes, so no waiting around wondering if they'll turn up on time.
Machine was well packaged and was brought into the home, though due to the amount of polystyrene it wouldn't go past an item of furniture, so it was left for me to unwrap and move into position - which in all fairness I was happy to do and said so to the deliverer.
I will definitely look to ao.com again should we need any further appliances - though I am hoping we won't be needing another washing machine for a while yet!
