Ordered goods to be despatched overnight and delivered to me by 4pm on the April 15th. I took 2 days off work one to accept the delivery and the other to fit the material, which I wanted to do before Good Friday. At 15:45 phoned my supplier and asked if I could still expect the delivery. They contacted APC and assured me that even though they were running late I would still get the delivery. I had been given the phone number of APC and contacted them at 17:30 and they told me the same story and they were still delivering needless to say they didn't. Contacted me supplier on the morning of the 16th and they came back and said APC had tried to deliver to me at 12 noon on the 15th. I was yards from my front door and nobody had called that day let alone at 12 noon, also we have a dog that barks if anybody approaches the front door. They depot local to my supplier phoned me and asked questions concerning the phantom caller at 12 noon. I respond by saying even if I hadn't heard somebody at the door yards from me and the dog hadn't barked where was the card saying somebody had tried to deliver, I asked when could I expect the delivery. They came back to me and said the were not delivering on the 16th as they had not received instruction about redelivery as per the phantom card. After totally going ballistic the agreed to deliver on the 17th between 8 and 9am. I received the delivery at exactly 9am. I have to say my supplier did all they could even the depot nearest to them was a bit more helpful but my local depot St Albans provided abysmal service and lied. Although the carrier is independent of the supplier the poor service does have an impact on their reputation.
I was staying in awaiting a delivery from APC overnight. At approximately 12 midday I heard the letterbox go. I thought it was the postman. There were three people in our small house; one in the lounge, one in the conservatory and one upstairs on the landing. When I investigated the post I found an APC calling card so I rushed out to see if the van was still there. It was not. How can a delivery man fail to either knock loud enough for occupants to hear or ring the doorbell. I tested the doorbell immediately and it was working as normal; it is very loud and could never be missed by one person, let alone three. Now I have to stay in for an entire extra day because of their incompetence.
I paid for overnight delivery i waited in all day only to find a Sorry We Missed You Card on the floor outside with no time that they called? they never rang the door bell or nocked on the door as if they had i would have heard them and my dog would have barked. when i called APC and told them they laughed at me put me on loud speaker as i could hear other staff members giggling in the background and said we don't employ ninjas who creep up to your door and leave cards more giggling and then said well do you want it or not? avoid theses unprofessional amateurs at all costs.
I have been waiting for an Amazon parcel to be delivered.I was told that it could arrive over the course of three days.Of course when you work it's not possible to sit in and wait for three days is it?.I left a note on my porch window asking for the parcel to be left in my garage.I arrived home yesterday to find a "sorry we missed you card" and "we need a signature" (two neighbours neither of them tried) "please call us to re arrange".I phoned today at 0915 (as they were not there at 2200 when I finished work).I was told that the parcel had already gone out again! So much for call to re arrange, more like we'll do what we want to do.When I said will it be before lunch as I have to go out this morning I got "he has 40 or 50 parcels on board you know" I took that as I don't really care.I was asked "do you want me to retain it" I assumed that meant rather than send the parcel back to the supplier. So now I have to make a 20 mile round trip to collect it myself. So much for "local depot". In this day and age surely it's not too much to ask a customer (as that's what I am) do you have a mobile the driver will call you ?...most other companies do or even arrange delivery to a local shop, again as most parcel companies do.I certainly would never use APC to send any of my Ebay parcels. Their bad service must ultimately reflect on any business using them to deliver. One other thing a word of advice don't answer the phone "APC overnight" in the tone of "ohh god not another phone call" a good morning would be nice it puts disgruntled customers on a good footing. One star as I had to give at least that. AVOID
They give you one shot to receive the parcel and then threaten to send it back. Didn't offer a specific time frame, so I know, let's be expected to take whole days off work to wait for a parcel. Took the day off and waited. Heard nothing. Found a "Sorry We Missed You' card though! DID THEY EVEN KNOCK?! I asked if we could rebook for a different day AND A TIME SLOT LIKE WHAT THEIR WEBSITE SAYS IS AVAILABLE. The customer "service" rep, who sounded like he had just rolled out of a brewery said "Nah. Phone him on the day and sort it out then. You can't come to the depot to collect, we're too far from you" - SO WHAT IS ALL THE LIES ABOUT LOCAL DEPOTS THEN?! It says on the card that there are LOCAL DEPOTS for my address?! I said alright...let me change my delivery address to my workplace.
I was wondering whether it was a one off problem I had but I found out others have the same problem. My parcel was delivered to my address. At the farm we have the farm house and the office. As I was in the office the driver decided I was not at home and left. One must know the court yard for both buildings is just in front and either way is the same. The APC telephone service is outrageous and now they can only deliver on Monday between 8 am and 16 pm. Do I have to sit all day behind de front porch in the farm house?
I will definitely try not to be delivered any more by this company.
Having experienced other courier companies and the quality service they give, I wouldn't touch APC with a barge pole. Other companies give you time slots and driver details, have polite and courteous staff NOT APC they turn up when they want and there attitude stinks. When you request a re delivery there is ALWAYS a problem guaranteed, the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left is doing and it's always someone else's fault.
BUSINESSES WHY DO YOU USE THEM AS THEY ARE DRAGGING DOWN YOUR REPUTATION.
Having paid extra for the next day delivery, I was disappointed to see that my order confirmation email had scheduled my delivery date as 2 days away. However, the package did not arrive when they had claimed it would. This meant that I had to cancel plans to be at home to collect it for nothing. Instead, APC, decided it would be acceptable to deliver my package the day after, a time at which I was not available. For this, I received a small slip which stated that I could call them to rearrange next day delivery. Unsurprisingly, despite calling multiple times, I was unable to get through. On their website, they unfortunately did not offer me next day delivery but instead offered delivery next Monday (4 days away). This was simply not an option as the package contained a gift for a friend who's birthday was the next day. This means that tomorrow I am once again having to cancel plans in order to drive to their depot 12 miles away. Not something I particularly wanted to do. Let's hope tomorrow will be the end of my dealings with this farce of a company.
Picked up the card that was posted through door saying non delivery of item because no reply What a load of ................ There were 3 people in this house all day and absolutely no way was there any doorbell or knock on the door. Even the back door was open. Have been trying to contact depot to rearrange delivery for 2hrs with no response and considerable costs. Absolutely disgusted with the way this service was conducted.
After reading the reviews for APC Overnight on this sight I was a little apprehensive.
However, I was kept up to date with my order via the company website. My order was delivered on the day expected and at 8.02am so probably the first drop of the day which meant I could carry on my day a normal without waiting around for said delivery.
The package was delivered in near excellent condition to my door. The driver was polite if not that chatty however, that is the only reason would not have awarded 5 stars, but would prefer that than extremely / overly friendly and late and / or damaged goods.
Based on this, my first and only experience of APC Overnight, I would use them again.
Same old thing I was left a card as I was not in so when online to rearrange the delivery for two days later which I did then sat in nearly all day then had an email from the company I purchased off to say the couriers have been in touch and they tried to deliver to you a couple of days ago but you weren't in so left a card but the courier said they will hold your item till tomorrow so I phoned them and they said I had never tried to rearrange.
