Ill-mannered APC driver refused to return a visibly damaged package
Had a table delivered by APC the driver leaned it up against the wall and would not wait for it to be inspected. The wife said the driver was very rude and discourteous. Always a good starter for customer satisfaction. Strangely, the side against the wall had a large hole in the packaging and the table had a matching hole in the middle of it. The supplier admitted he was unhappy with APC and was in the middle of changing courier. A replacement table was dispatched. The same driver delivered the (undamaged) replacement and refused to take the previously damaged table back. I insisted as he had delivered a visibly damaged package. He reluctantly took it, denying any knowledge of the previous visible damage. APC evidently spend a long time training their drivers in customer skills and handling delivery issues in a sensitive manner. Nevertheless, I am afraid I cannot recommend them.
We have regular deliveries by Hermes and our delivery man is a gentleman - never had a problem with them.
